88: Qin sisters

After dinner, Luo Chen brought Luo Wan Ning, Chen Yujun, and others to the conference room to inventory the supplies collected during the day and to classify the personnel.

This was a great harvest; not only people, but also a large batch of various supplies were collected.

Especially kitchen utensils, flour, rice, oil, salt, spices, and various daily necessities were enough for a hundred people for more than half a year.

After organizing everything, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. They wouldn't have to worry about food in the short term.

“Sister Yujun, these supplies will be handed over to your Inner Palace, for treasury management. Control the usage of supplies reasonably, and everyone who receives supplies must register and record it.”

With that, Luo Chen closed the folder in front of him and handed it to Chen Yujun.

Although the supplies were sufficient, they couldn't withstand waste. To avoid this problem, registering the whereabouts of every item became very necessary.

In addition to being able to reasonably plan the distribution of supplies, if there was a shortage of certain supplies, it could be discovered in time, preventing a situation where there was nothing when needed.

After inventorying the supplies, the next step was to arrange the personnel.

With 53 more survivors, to avoid chaos, they had to be assigned to various departments for differentiated management.

People tend to cause trouble when idle, especially women who are prone to overthinking; they must be kept busy.

Chen Yujun handed Luo Chen a folder and said:

“This is the information of all new personnel on the Train that I compiled. Please take a look.”

Cheng Yihan, 18 years old, 89 jin, measurements: 90-61-92, major: Seed Science and Engineering.

Bai Tao, 18 years old, 152cm, 82 jin, measurements: 88-55-84, major: Food Science and Engineering.

Yan Xirou, 20 years old, 169cm, 91 jin, measurements: 92-61-94, major: Aquaculture... Nanyan.

Luo Chen flipped through the nearly five pages of personnel lists, which detailed each person's information: height, weight, major, whether they had a partner, family background, and so on, all listed.

Even whether their body was 'clean' was specially marked.

“Good! Very detailed.” Luo Chen finished reading everything, put away the folder, nodded, and asked:

“Have their passenger tickets and personal wristbands been purchased?”

He had entrusted this matter to Luo Wan Ning and Chen Yujun, so since she was reporting to him, he assumed it had been handled.

“Yes! It’s all done! And I’ve made sure everyone is wearing them.”

Once the personal wristband was on, it could not be removed unless the Train Conductor unlocked it or the arm was cut off.

Moreover, the wristband contained a miniature nuclear energy device, so there would be no situation of running out of power.

After reading through everything, Luo Chen found that half of the female students from the Communication University came from official families, which confirmed a piece of information he had heard before.

Those old officials sent their children into the entertainment industry to legitimize their bribes.

If others wanted to bribe them, they only needed to invest in an advertisement or a TV series for their descendants.

After this process, the money would flow legally and compliantly into the official's home.

“Since everything is ready, you all will assign them to different departments based on their specialties as needed.

For those without any special talents, you and Wan Ning will divide them between yourselves. Then, Sister Yujun, please call Qin Shuyao, Cheng Yihan, and those few female students with seed-related majors over.”

Luo Chen finally arranged.

While Luo Chen was handling Train affairs, on the first floor of the Train's passenger carriage, over sixty women gathered in twos and threes, chatting.

However, it was clear that they were divided into two large groups.

One group consisted of women who boarded at Emerald Garden, happily chatting and looking very relaxed.

The other side was the female students who boarded at the University Town stop. Unclear about the situation, they were gathered together, exchanging information, and their relationships with each other were still somewhat distant.

On a blue bed, Qin Yulian, who had finished cleaning the kitchen, was sitting hand in hand with Qin Shuyao.

“I knew today’s dishes tasted somewhat familiar. Sister, when did you get on the Train?”

Qin Shuyao grabbed Qin Yulian's hand and asked, somewhat excitedly.

Qin Yulian was wearing a green cheongsam with bamboo leaf patterns. The form-fitting style made her plump figure particularly prominent.

After consuming the energy liquid and Luo Chen's nourishment.

At this moment, Qin Yulian looked several years younger than before, and standing next to her sister, who was eight years her junior, there was hardly any age difference to be seen.

“A few days ago, I guess! The Train Conductor’s Train just happened to stop in the fragmented world where our home was located.” Qin Yulian was equally surprised.

“What about Mom and Dad, and Big Brother and Sister-in-law? Why haven’t I seen them?”

Hearing this, Qin Yulian's tone became a bit somber: “Mom and Dad turned into zombies and died. Big Brother and his family have lost contact, and I don’t know the specific situation either.”

“So, it’s just the two of us sisters now?” Qin Shuyao lowered her head, unable to help but sob slightly.

Qin Yulian had already accepted this, but with her family by her side, all the emotions that had been suppressed in her heart surged up, even more intensely than before.

“Mm!” Her eyes were slightly red, and she hummed softly.

But she still held back her tears. She was the older sister and had to be strong. If she cried, her sister would only be sadder.

She forced a smile and said, “Fortunately, the gods watched over us, and I still met you. We should cherish this.”

“Mm-hmm!” Qin Shuyao nodded, leaning into Qin Yulian’s embrace.

Chen Yujun entered the carriage and shouted loudly, “Qin Shuyao, Cheng Yihan, Lu Jiajing, Huo Tong, the few of you go to the conference room. Everyone else stays here.”

Hearing this, Qin Shuyao looked nervously at Qin Yulian beside her: “Sister, nothing bad will happen, right?”

“It’s fine! I’ll ask for you!” Qin Yulian patted Qin Shuyao’s hand, signaling her not to be nervous.

“Yujun, may I ask what the Train Conductor wants with my sister?” Qin Yulian came to Chen Yujun and asked very politely.

Although she was the oldest on the Train, she had arrived late, and her status was slightly lower than Chen Yujun’s.

Given the circumstances, she couldn't afford to be proud.

“It’s nothing! Just a task to assign to them.” Chen Yujun didn’t put on airs either and explained with a smile.

“Thank you!” Qin Yulian thanked her and turned around to explain to her sister.

At the same time, remembering what had happened before, she couldn't help but caution:

“If the Train Conductor wants to do anything to you, do not resist, and do not say anything unpleasant, do you hear me?”

“What do you mean?” Qin Shuyao was very confused.

“It’s about those things between men and women. Things are not like before; we need to rely on powerful forces to survive, and some sacrifices are inevitable.”

“This…” Qin Shuyao’s eyes widened, unable to believe it.

Unlike her older sister Qin Yulian, who had entered society early and understood its various dark sides.

Her younger sister Qin Shuyao had excellent grades since childhood, which allowed her to continue her studies.

She had never entered society until she completed her doctorate and became a university lecturer, so compared to Qin Yulian, her views were still somewhat naive.

“To survive, you must do this. If you are unwilling, I, your sister, cannot save you. However, the Train Conductor is quite reasonable; if you are truly unwilling, he will not force you, but he will make you leave the Train. It just depends on your choice.”

“I understand.” Qin Shuyao nodded. She had already understood what was going on during this time and naturally knew what she would face if she left the Train.
