58: Round peak
More than an hour later, Luo Chen woke up from his sleep.
Slowly opening his eyes, two not-so-tall, round peaks completely blocked his vision, preventing him from seeing who was holding him.
On the soft peaks, a warm, fragrant scent continuously entered his nose with his breathing, sweet and carrying a familiar feminine aroma.
His heart already knew who was holding him.
Sure enough, it was just as he had expected.
Luo Wan Ning felt his subtle movements and knew that he had woken up.
As the two peaks moved away, Luo Wan Ning’s face was fully revealed.
She eagerly scrutinized Luo Chen, her eyes filled with concern: “Luo Chen, are you okay? You almost scared me to death!”
“I’m fine! Wan Ning, I made you worry.” Luo Chen shook his head and sat up from her embrace.
He looked around, feeling his head throb slightly, and his thoughts began to return to his mind.
At this moment, Liu Ruoli and the other woman were embracing each other, just as he had first seen them, lying in his Memory Space.
Looking at such a captivating scene, Luo Chen felt his head grow a little warm.
Perhaps influenced by his emotions, the two women frowned and gently shifted their bodies, which also made them embrace each other more tightly.
Luo Chen noticed the anomaly and tried to push away the desires filling his mind.
He recalled what Su Jinxuan had told him, using it to distract himself.
According to Su Jinxuan, everyone has a Memory Space. However, most people find it difficult to clearly perceive its existence due to various external interferences.
Memory Apostles, however, can easily discover it with the help of the God of Memory’s abilities.
Luo Chen had already completed the Memory Fusion with the two memory bodies, which also gave him this part of the Memory Apostle’s ability—perceiving the Memory Space.
Of course, the benefits brought by Memory Fusion were far more than that.
Besides the Memory Space, a special connection also formed between the three of them, as if they had forged a kind of shared destiny contract.
This connection bound them tightly together, making their fates closely intertwined.
No matter what happened in the future, as long as Luo Chen was alive, the two of them would never die.
This made him completely drop his guard; at least he could be certain that Su Jinxuan and Liu Ruoli would never betray him.
He could also rest assured letting the two of them stay in his mind.
Otherwise, it would be too easy for someone who understood him well to harm him.
His thoughts only lasted for a moment before Luo Wan Ning’s voice once again pulled him back to reality:
“Phew! You scared me to death. I saw a bug crawl out of your body, and I thought you were being parasitized by a bug!”
Luo Wan Ning saw that Luo Chen was fine, patted her chest, and visibly sighed in relief.
Then her gaze fell on the ice silkworm in Luo Chen’s hand, and recalling what she had seen a dozen minutes ago, she continued to ask curiously:
“What is that bug in your hand? Why did it crawl out of your body?”
After speaking, she recounted what she had discovered about the bug and the subsequent events.
A dozen minutes ago, she had personally seen this finger-thick bug crawl out from Luo Chen’s wrist.
Then it spat out two mouthfuls of white liquid at the wrist wound. As the white liquid was absorbed, the wound quickly healed as good as new.
She wasn’t sure if the bug was good or bad.
But from its actions, and the fact that it was sleeping on Luo Chen’s hand, she hadn’t noticed it harming Luo Chen.
She also didn’t dare to act rashly. What if Luo Chen had intentionally done this, and she, by catching it, would ruin things?
So she could only let it stay there, as long as it didn’t move around.
It wasn’t until Luo Chen woke up that she told him the situation.
After listening to Luo Wan Ning’s account, Luo Chen looked at the ice silkworm on his wrist and gently held it in his hand.
The wound on his wrist had also vanished without a trace, showing no signs of having been cut before.
He was not surprised by this situation.
Before he made his move, the All-Knowing Eye had already informed him of this information.
This was a hidden function of the adult ice silkworm, which could spit out a substance that promotes wound healing. The healing effect of this substance was astonishing, and it would not leave any scars.
It was said that this ability was also related to a certain generation of the God of Life. As for more information, and which specific generation of the God of Life it was, the All-Knowing Eye did not say, and he did not know.
Luo Chen picked up the ice silkworm from his wrist, placed it in his hand, and explained:
“This is an ice silkworm, a pet a monkey gave me in the Hunting God Space last time. It’s said to be a mythical existence, capable of absorbing the decaying aura and impurities from energy stones.
If you use too many energy stones, decaying aura will accumulate in your body, and once it reaches a certain level, you’ll turn into a zombie. I used one last time, so I just used it to enter my body to absorb it and eliminate the hidden danger.”
Hearing Luo Chen’s words, Luo Wan Ning completely relaxed. Fortunately, she hadn’t touched the ice silkworm just now, or it would have been a huge loss if she had killed it.
Then she remembered the energy stone Luo Chen had given her last time and said with some lingering fear:
“The energy stone you gave me last time, I put it in my bedroom. Fortunately, I haven’t used it yet; I don’t want to turn into a zombie.”
Luo Chen smiled faintly; he was well aware of Luo Wan Ning’s timid nature.
He smiled and explained: “It’s fine, you only turn into a zombie after accumulating it to a certain extent.
But you shouldn’t use it for now. Energy stones aren’t very effective; to improve your strength, it’s best to use energy crystals.
First, take this ice silkworm and purify those energy stones, then give them to the 15 women in Emerald Garden.
They are too weak and need to be strengthened. Their efficiency in collecting supplies is too low right now.”
Today at the scrapyard, the women struggled to carry just a few chickens. With such weak bodies, they couldn't collect much in the way of supplies at all.
Subsequently, Luo Chen also explained the specific usage process.
Luo Wan Ning took the ice silkworm, placed it on her palm, and gently teased it with her fingers.
Under her teasing, the ice silkworm began to roll around in her palm.
Looking at the ice silkworm’s adorable appearance, Luo Wan Ning cried out happily: “Wow! It’s so cute and fun.”
Watching Luo Wan Ning’s happy expression, Luo Chen smiled faintly.
Then he looked at Shirasawa Erina next to Luo Wan Ning and asked curiously: “Why are you here too?”
Noticing Luo Chen’s confusion, Shirasawa Erina hadn’t answered yet when Luo Wan Ning, beside her, explained on her behalf:
“I have to thank Miss Erina; if she hadn’t come to see you about something, I wouldn’t have found you unconscious.”
“Is there something wrong?” Luo Chen looked at Shirasawa Erina curiously.
These three Japanese women didn’t interact much with him voluntarily, and Luo Chen didn’t have extra time to foster relationships with them.
So, the few of them could only be considered somewhat familiar with each other, far from the level of 'you in me, me in you.'
Of course, he wouldn't let this situation last too long. Once the fifteen survivors from Emerald Garden Villa District went to school,
He could then carefully train these Japanese women.
