50: Second Awakening

"How can I find it?"

After successfully picking up the long stick, Luo Chen looked at the smooth ice surface, feeling a bit troubled.

"Roll the stick over it and see if it can crush it!"

Luo Chen thought, then began to lay the long stick flat on the ice, lying on his stomach and pushing it to roll continuously with both hands.

In the distance, a monkey was leisurely lying on the ice.

It propped up its head with one hand, as if enjoying this moment of tranquility.

Similar to Luo Chen, it was also a Train Conductor.

The difference was that it came from the fifth generation, while Luo Chen belonged to the eleventh generation.

After the Train exited its protection period, it had to deal with unknown dangers from the starry sky every day, in addition to its many citizens.

It was constantly busy dealing with various matters every day, and only in this space could it gain a brief period of rest.

Its other hand tightly clutched a purple gourd, filled with fine wine.

The monkey occasionally tilted the gourd, letting the mellow wine flow into its mouth.

After savoring the wine in its mouth, it glanced in Luo Chen's direction.

Seeing Luo Chen pushing the stick with his butt sticking out, a look of disappointment appeared on its face.

It gently shook its head, saying nothing.

Luo Chen pushed the stick to the end of the ice surface, stood up, and shouted to the monkey, "Did it work?"

The bug was too small, and whether it had been crushed or not, he couldn't see, especially since both were white.

The monkey shook its head, waved its hand, and a bug on the ice surface flew up.

It only lasted for a moment before the bug fell back onto the ice.

Seeing this, Luo Chen rushed forward, only to find that the bug had jumped to another spot at some point.

He frowned, unable to think of a solution.

Suddenly, he noticed the monkey lying on its side on the ice.

A flash of inspiration struck him.

He immediately lowered his body, his nose almost touching the ice.

Staring straight ahead, through the smooth ice surface, he finally saw a hopping bug not far away.

"So that's how it is!" Luo Chen's face lit up with joy.

He noted the approximate location of the bug, quickly got up, and walked over with the stick.

He swung the stick, but missed.

Looking through the ice again, he found that the bug had already jumped to another spot.

Luo Chen didn't get discouraged.

Now that he had a way to track it, he wasn't afraid of not being able to hit it.

Twenty minutes later, Luo Chen picked up a rice-grain-sized lump from the ground.

"Not bad at all!"

The monkey had now come to Luo Chen's side, took the bug from his hand, and with a gentle blow, the bug became lively again.

Then, it flicked the bug slightly, letting it fall back into Luo Chen's hand: "This little thing is for you."

Luo Chen looked at the constantly jumping bug in his palm, his face surprised.

This small creature, after being vigorously struck by his stick, was still not dead.

Its vitality was quite tenacious, but he didn't know what it was for.

The monkey saw his question and explained, "This Ice Silkworm is a good thing.

It can help you swallow the impurities in the energy stone."

"You've used energy stones, right?"

Luo Chen looked at the monkey in front of him in surprise, not expecting it to know that he had used energy stones.

The monkey took the stick from Luo Chen's hand, looked into the distance, and began to explain.

"That thing isn't good.

energy crystals can only be used in the trial space.

How can energy stones, which are even lower grade than energy crystals, be used casually?"

"It not only contains rich impurities but also the aura of the God of Decay.

If used too much, and the aura of decay accumulates to a certain extent, you will also become like those walking dead zombies."

As it spoke of these things, its mind recalled past experiences.

It hadn't known about the side effects of energy stones before, and its monkeys had all used them after enjoying the convenience of energy stones.

However, a huge zombie tide later swept through the Train, and many of its monkeys turned into zombies during this event, which it had to kill personally.

Fortunately, not long after, it met a previous Train Conductor who had a similar experience.

He told it the cause and solution, allowing it to successfully resolve the problem.

After hearing the monkey's explanation, Luo Chen was relieved that he had only used one due to time constraints, but then he began to worry.

"Don't worry.

This Ice Silkworm can help you.

It's just that it's still small now and needs you to feed it to grow up," the monkey chuckled, continuing, "However, feeding it requires energy crystals, so it depends on whether you're willing to part with them.

One piece should be enough for it to grow up."

Luo Chen breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

Looking at the jumping bug in his hand, he curiously asked, "This Ice Silkworm is jumping around so much, won't it run away?"

"Feed it a drop of fresh blood, and once it remembers your scent, it will recognize you as its master."

Upon hearing this, Luo Chen immediately bit his finger and dripped a drop of blood into his palm.

The Ice Silkworm, smelling the blood, stopped jumping and slowly crawled to the blood, beginning to feed.

The drop of fresh blood was quickly consumed by it, after which it burrowed its head twice into Luo Chen's palm.

A continuous itching sensation came from his hand, making Luo Chen want to laugh, and a faint connection subtly formed between him and this bug.

After rolling around in his hand for a while, the bug lightly jumped, landed on Luo Chen's head, and then burrowed into his hair.

Looking up, Luo Chen could clearly feel its position.

"Alright! There are still a dozen minutes left, let me teach you some stick techniques," the monkey said, seeing Luo Chen finish, reminding him...

"Grip"

"Swing"

"Block"

"Thrust, chop, sweep."

And so, Luo Chen began to learn stick techniques from the monkey!

A dozen minutes later, time was up, and a figure flashed on the Train.

Luo Chen was ejected from the trial space.

Looking at the familiar scene, Luo Chen sighed, feeling a bit regretful.

Monkey Brother's stick techniques were too powerful, making him unconsciously immersed and greatly benefiting from them.

It was just that the time was too short.

Suppressing the emotions in his heart, he summoned his personal control light screen and opened the Train Conductor attributes:

【Your Basic Attributes:

Successfully advanced to the Second Stage.

He clenched his fist, feeling much stronger.

Recalling what Monkey Brother said in the trial space, he touched his head again.

It's fine!

The bug was still there.

However, he wasn't entirely sure if Monkey Brother had lied to him.

He planned to observe the situation first; if it was useless, he wouldn't feed it for now.

After all, energy crystals were too scarce at the moment, and prioritizing his own strength was essential.

At this moment, he noticed a message from Chen Yujun on the light screen, saying she needed to see him.

The trial space was in a disconnected state, and now that he was out, the message popped up.

Putting away the light screen, he went to Chen Yujun's bedroom.

Pushing open the door, he saw Luo Wan Ning throwing a stack of books half her height onto the floor, smiling happily and saying,

"Little Chen Tianxiang, look what good things Big Sister found for you.

Kindergarten and elementary school textbooks, and lots of homework."

Chen Yujun saw the books Luo Wan Ning had brought, quickly flipped through a few, and after seeing the content inside, her face lit up with joy:

"Wan Ning, thank you so much.

With these, I can teach little Chen Tianxiang to read and write."

"You're welcome, I just picked them up casually." Luo Wan Ning's face was a little embarrassed.

In fact, these were all things she had specifically collected after seeing them.

In case she and Luo Chen had children, they couldn't grow up illiterate, so she specifically collected them when she saw them.

Chen Tianxiang rolled her eyes, pouting her lips with a speechless expression.

She hadn't expected that even in space, without a school, she still couldn't escape the demon of studying.
