116: : Let Xu Jinzhong be in charge of the annual meeting

The two discussed for a long time, and finally Jiang Chen personally escorted Ji Jun out of the office.

After Ji Jun left, Jiang Chen instructed Zhu Zhe to call Xu Jinzhong over, saying he had something to tell him.

It was already the end of the year, about to enter a new one, and Xinghe Group had begun its year-end wrap-up and summary work.

Jiang Chen was about to convene the annual summary meeting at the end of the month. At that time, the Group's entire senior management would report to him on Xinghe Group's development over the year. This was already a tradition for Xinghe Group; Xu Shizhong used to hold this meeting every year.

However, this time it was Jiang Chen who would listen to their reports. At the meeting, Jiang Chen and Ji Jun would also announce and confirm the Group's strategic direction for the coming year.

Jiang Chen planned to start organizing the Group's annual meeting after the summary meeting. This could be said to be the first thing he wanted to do after taking over Xinghe Group.

Jiang Chen called Xu Jinzhong over precisely to assign him the task of organizing the annual meeting, making him the person in charge.

As the Group's chief steward, Xu Jinzhong was currently the undisputed best choice.

Knock knock knock—

Soon, Xu Jinzhong knocked on the office door.

Zhu Zhe opened the door for Xu Jinzhong. Xu Jinzhong, entering, nodded at Zhu Zhe, who also smiled in acknowledgment.

"Chairman Jiang."

Xu Jinzhong called out as he walked to Jiang Chen's desk.

"Jinzhong, you're here. Have a seat."

Jiang Chen looked at Xu Jinzhong, who had walked up to him, and motioned for him to sit down.

Watching Xu Jinzhong sit down, Zhu Zhe brought him a glass of plain water.

"Thank you."

Xu Jinzhong politely thanked her with a smile.

"Jinzhong, I called you here because there's something I need you to do."

Listening to Jiang Chen's words, Xu Jinzhong immediately sat up straight and listened attentively.

"The end of the year is approaching. I plan to entrust this year's Group annual meeting to you and make you the person in charge. Do you have the confidence to complete it?"

Upon hearing this, Xu Jinzhong immediately stated, "Chairman Jiang, please rest assured, I will definitely complete the task you have assigned."

Jiang Chen nodded slightly and continued, "As for the time of the annual meeting, my plan is to hold it after the year-end meeting and before the Spring Festival holiday. I know time is a bit tight, so let me tell you my general ideas."

"Yes, Chairman Jiang, please speak."

Xu Jinzhong took out his small notebook and a pen, ready to jot things down.

Jiang Chen watched Xu Jinzhong's actions and then expressed some of his thoughts:

"This time, I want to host an annual meeting that is different from previous Group ones. Let's not have employees spend effort thinking of acts to perform on stage. I want to make it bigger. What do you think about inviting some celebrities to perform on stage?"

Jiang Chen felt that instead of having employees painstakingly come up with performances, it would be better to invite some celebrities and singers to perform on stage, allowing the employees to relax properly.

"Chairman Jiang, I think this idea is completely feasible," Xu Jinzhong echoed with a smile, then asked, "Do you have any specific celebrities in mind that you'd like to invite?"

Jiang Chen had already considered this question. "My thoughts aren't important. What's important is which celebrity singers the employees want to invite. This annual meeting isn't for us to watch, but to reward the Group employees who have worked hard all year."

"Like this." Tapping the table, Jiang Chen decided it was better to give the choice to those below. "As for which specific celebrities and singers to invite, you can collect employees' opinions and then initiate a vote."

Then Jiang Chen said very dominantly, "As long as they are in the top ten votes, whether they are celebrities or singers, you must find a way to invite them, no matter what. Whether it's using connections or throwing money, as long as they are chosen by the employees, they must be arranged."

Listening to Jiang Chen's requirements, Xu Jinzhong wrote down every word.

One of the most important parts of the annual meeting was definitely the lottery. For this segment, Jiang Chen had his own unique idea, which was to spend money.

"Oh, Jinzhong, regarding the annual meeting lottery segment, this is how I plan it: the Group will contribute 2 billion, and I will personally sponsor another 1 billion, totaling 3 billion as the budget for the annual meeting lottery."

"As for whether the lottery is for cash or prizes, you can decide, but I have only one requirement: every employee must receive something."

Jiang Chen then emphasized with a heavier tone, "Oh, and you must ensure the fairness and randomness of the lottery!"

He deeply detested the rigged lotteries at some company annual meetings and would never allow such a thing to happen at his Group's annual meeting.

Xu Jinzhong nodded and wrote it down, especially the last sentence Jiang Chen said, which he underlined twice for emphasis.

Jiang Chen's request was very reasonable. With 3 billion, if calculated for 100,000 people, each person could receive 30,000 just in cash. So, 3 billion was more than enough to cover all employees throughout the Group.

"Chairman Jiang, please rest assured, I have noted it down and will strictly follow your requirements."

"Mm." Jiang Chen nodded and continued, "As for the venue..."

At this point, Jiang Chen paused. To be honest, the next problem was a bit difficult for him.

The Group currently had over 80,000 full-time employees. Xinghe Aviation alone, operating independently, had over 20,000, approaching 30,000 employees globally, not to mention the large number of outsourced personnel.

According to his vision, he wanted to gather all employees together and find a large venue for the annual meeting. However, given the current number of people, his idea seemed less realistic.

Just gathering so many people together seemed unrealistic. If one were to insist on gathering so many people, the work behind it would undoubtedly be extremely difficult, and a slight oversight could easily lead to safety hazards.

After thinking it over, he gave up on this impractical idea and then continued speaking to Xu Jinzhong:

"Regarding the issue of the number of people and the venue, I personally lean towards gathering all employees for the annual meeting, but I also know that this is unrealistic. Therefore, I still need you to base it on practical considerations and come up with a specific plan to solve the venue and attendance issues. Even employees who cannot attend the Group's annual meeting must be included in the lottery segment."

Since he couldn't think of a good solution himself, he would delegate the problem to his subordinates. Otherwise, if he, the Chairman, had to personally handle everything, what would they be for?

"I understand, Chairman Jiang."

For Xu Jinzhong, whatever Jiang Chen requested, he only needed to remember the requirements and then carry them out.

In fact, just by listening to Jiang Chen's requests, he already had a rough idea in mind. Didn't Jiang Chen want to invite celebrities? Then why not turn the annual meeting into a concert-style event? As for the venue, there was no need to say more; they could directly rent the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center. This stadium might not be able to accommodate everyone in the Group, but 80,000 to 90,000 people would be more than enough.

As for employees who couldn't attend, it was even easier to solve: have them arrange their own activities and watch via live stream.

In just an instant, Xu Jinzhong had several ideas in his mind. Of course, these ideas still needed to be presented in writing in a proposal for Jiang Chen to review.

"Alright, I'm done. According to my requirements, prepare several proposals. I'll choose from them then. Remember, I need them within a week."

"Alright, go get busy."

Jiang Chen tapped the table, signaling that he could leave.

"Yes!"

Xu Jinzhong closed his small notebook, stood up, bowed slightly to Jiang Chen, and then left.
