191: : Poor dormitory environment

After test-driving three models, Jiang Chen got up and went to inspect the factory. Chen Yang and a Group of factory managers accompanied him throughout.

From the raw materials workshop, the die-casting workshop, to the final assembly workshop, Jiang Chen observed every step with extreme care, occasionally stopping to ask the person in charge about production processes and capacity planning.

Afterward, he specifically went to the R&D Center to greet each engineer in the research and development team.

In the R&D Center's office area, these engineers, mostly in their thirties and forties, were still busy, their desks piled high with blueprints and data reports.

Jiang Chen walked up to them, shook hands cordially with each one, and presented them with red envelopes that Zhu Zhe had prepared in advance.

The red envelopes contained only 30,000 yuan each, representing a small token of Jiang Chen's personal appreciation.

In addition, the Group also distributed a personal bonus of 200,000 yuan to each person and a project reward of 10 million yuan, which Jiang Chen instructed Zhang Lei to allocate.

Without them, it would have been impossible to produce the car models he envisioned in such a short time, while also ensuring quality and meeting his requirements.

After the greetings, Jiang Chen and his entourage walked towards the factory staff dormitories.

After the greetings, Jiang Chen and his entourage walked towards the factory staff dormitories.

On the way, Chen Yang proactively reported on the factory's personnel situation: "Chairman Jiang, our factory currently has over 2,800 employees, of whom 2,100 are frontline workers in the production workshops, and 700 are in technical and management positions."

"More than 80% of the frontline workers are young people aged 20 to 35, mostly migrant workers from surrounding areas, and their turnover is relatively high."

Jiang Chen listened and nodded, his gaze falling on the cluster of dormitory buildings not far ahead, and his brow gradually furrowed.

Those dormitory buildings looked quite dilapidated, with mottled walls, some windowpanes still stained, and an architectural style that clearly belonged to thirty years ago, completely out of sync with the modern factory workshops.

He didn't say much, leading his Group further in, wanting to see the employees' living conditions for himself.

It was five o'clock in the afternoon, and most workers were still busy in the workshops. The entire dormitory area was quiet, with only the rustling of wind through the leaves.

Just as Jiang Chen was about to reach the entrance of the dormitory building, a loud shout suddenly came, mixed with the explosive game sound effects from a phone speaker, breaking the surrounding quiet:

"Are you an idiot?! I'm Li Bai jungling, why are you, a marksman, stealing my blue buff? How am I supposed to farm gold and gank without blue?"

Immediately after, another slightly flippant voice came through the phone's speakerphone: "Serves you right! You were too aggressive and got killed, didn't you? Hehe, look, once he's dead, I'll kill the one who killed him, and the blue will be mine."

"Trash teammates, do you even deserve to play with me? Just a Gold rank game, watch me carry the whole team! Take it down!"

After shouting this, a triumphant laugh echoed from the room, and the tapping sounds of fingers on the phone screen were exceptionally clear.

Hearing the commotion, Jiang Chen paused and walked towards the source of the sound, with the Group behind him quickly following.

It was a dormitory on the first floor of the building, with the door ajar. As Jiang Chen approached, he smelled the strong scent of smoke wafting through the crack.

He frowned, and when he pushed the door open and saw what was inside, his expression immediately soured.

What met his eyes was a room of about 20 square meters, with five bunk beds taking up most of the space.

The bedding on the beds was haphazardly piled, cigarette butts, snack wrappers, and crumpled clothes were scattered on the floor, and the air was thick with the pungent smell of smoke and sweat, uncomfortably murky.

By the lower bunk near the door, a young man in his early twenties was sitting cross-legged on the edge of the bed, leaning against the wall, a lit cigarette dangling from his mouth, a phone clutched in his left hand, his right index finger rapidly swiping and tapping on the screen, his eyes fixed on the illuminated phone screen, a triumphant smile from winning the game still on his lips.

Probably hearing the movement at the door, the young worker subconsciously looked up, casually stubbing out his cigarette in an empty beverage bottle by the bed. As his gaze swept towards the door, the smile on his face instantly froze.
