92: New City

At the border of Nelson's territory, Xiang Yan's figure appeared, and he took a look back. Then, Xiang Yan raised his hand and cast a layer of protection over Nelson in a dimension invisible to ordinary people.

He looked around and cast his gaze in a certain direction. Xiang Yan turned to face the boundless sky, and within him, magic power surged like the tide.

He instantly transformed into a streak of black light, like an arrow released from a bowstring, cutting through the vast sky.

The gale roared like a beast in his ears as he flew over rolling mountains and vast plains. The wind tore at his robes, and the earth beneath his feet slipped past his vision rapidly, like a fast-forwarded film strip.

Finally, on the distant horizon, the silhouette of a city gradually emerged.

The city was like a giant shadow, silently crouching upon the earth.

Towering buildings stood thick and numerous, like giant steel pillars piercing the clouds; the sunlight cast mottled shadows upon them, like an unfinished, absurd masterpiece.

A faint mist permeated the edge of the city, resembling clouds and smoke, shimmering with a soft halo under the sunlight.

Gazing at the city from afar, Xiang Yan smiled slightly.

Immediately, his speed gradually slowed. The moment he approached the city, his figure quietly concealed itself behind the cover of a dark cloud, as if he had never existed.

He approached slowly, and when he reached the edge of the city, a young man immediately caught his attention. This young man—not because he looked particularly handsome, but because this guy had a massive amount of negative energy on him.

Xiang Yan's sharp, ruthless eyes swept over him, instantly seeing through that this fellow was the Monster King of this city.

Xiang Yan pondered for a moment, then silently followed him.

The Monster King walked while looking around, and after traveling for a while, he arrived beside a dark alleyway.

After observing his surroundings, he walked into the alley.

Seeing this, Xiang Yan followed him in.

After the Monster King entered, several thugs immediately surrounded him.

Facing this group of thugs, the Monster King knocked them down in just a few moves.

Then, the Monster King fumbled on his body, preparing to take something out.

At this moment, Xiang Yan, completely disregarding martial ethics, punched him in the back of the head. Without hesitation, he pulled out a sack from who knows where, lunged forward with lightning speed, and tied up the Monster King in one go.

Looking at the thugs still wailing on the ground, Xiang Yan casually smeared them onto the wall.

Having done all this, Xiang Yan turned around, his figure slowly disappearing into the alley, leaving behind only that faint, lingering cold aura in the alley and the abstract human painting on the wall.

In the wilderness, there was utter silence.

Dim light spilled onto the ground, making the rugged soil and scattered withered grass look like a canvas soaked in cold ash.

Xiang Yan casually tossed the bulging sack onto the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

He lazily kicked the sack. "Stop playing dead; I know you're already awake."

The Monster King inside the sack stirred, and then suddenly, a series of violent struggles ensued, looking exactly like a trapped beast.

"Stop struggling, kid. This sack of mine is specially made; with your level of ability, you won't be getting out even if you die."

Heavy, ragged breathing squeezed out from the gaps, but there wasn't a single word of begging for mercy.

Xiang Yan wasn't in a hurry. He crouched down and fiddled with the opening of the bag, and it opened. The Monster King crawled out in a disheveled state and rolled away to put some distance between them.

Then, without a word, the Monster King transformed immediately and attacked Xiang Yan.

Xiang Yan stood up slowly, hands in his pockets, appearing completely nonchalant. However, immediately afterward, he tilted his head slightly, and black light like a whirlpool suddenly lit up in his eyes.

The next instant, the Monster King felt as if his head had been heavily struck by a hammer, and the entire world began to distort rapidly before his eyes.

Pale palms seemed to reach out from the Void Realm, pulling at him. Countless whispers sounded in his ears, with a strange and eerie tone, like countless vengeful spirits weeping in low voices, or as if his own deep-seated fears had taken physical form.

The Monster King went limp, trying his best to close his eyes, only to find his scalp seemingly nailed in place, unable to break free.

"Keep acting tough, why don't you?" Xiang Yan's voice drifted over, his tone carrying a lightness that was a world apart from his own inherent malevolence.

"What's the matter? You couldn't handle just a glimpse of my essence? You really are pathetic."

The Monster King gritted his teeth, cold sweat streaming down his forehead like rain, his eyes bloodshot as if they were about to burst.

He tried hard to twitch his mouth to retort with a harsh word, but could only let out intermittent whimpers.

"Speak, kid. What intelligence do you have to tell me?"

"You... what do you want to know?"

"That depends on what you want to tell me."

"I... I, I don't... know."

Facing this answer, Xiang Yan just looked at him with dead fish eyes and said, "Don't know, huh? It just so happens that I have some things I haven't had the chance to use since I finished perfecting them. It wouldn't be bad to test them on you."

"Let me think. I've already shown you my 'Essence,' so let's try out 'Pollution'."

A beam of black light crashed into the Monster King's body. Instantly, the Monster King felt his brain and consciousness split into several parts, arguing and slaughtering each other.

They wanted to unite, yet they also wanted to split apart.

The Monster King finally collapsed, his whole body trembling, swaying incessantly like a dilapidated windmill.

He screamed hysterically, "Stop torturing me! I'll talk! I'll tell you everything!"

Xiang Yan retracted his gaze with satisfaction and nodded slightly. "That's better. Communication is the most important thing." He snapped his fingers, and the mental agony temporarily subsided; although it was still tormenting him, it wasn't as intense as before.

The Monster King panted heavily, slumped on the ground like a fish out of water.

He recounted everything he knew, intermittently. Whatever he had, he racked his brains to think of it, but he insisted he had nothing left.

The terrifying guy in front of him would just make him experience the so-called "Pollution" again.

Watching this guy, on whom he had rotated through several methods and who still claimed he had nothing left, Xiang Yan extended his hand.

A ball of black flame, as thick as ink, suddenly ignited in his palm. The Monster King roared in terror, trying with all his might to crawl backward, but before he could move even half a step, the black flames had already covered his entire body.

The screams were forced to their limit in the darkness, then abruptly ceased, leaving only cold ashes all over the ground.

Xiang Yan crouched down, brushed his fingertips through the remains, and picked up a crystal-clear black crystal from within.

He held it up to the sunlight to examine it for a moment, hummed a little tune, turned around, and strode toward the city.

Just arrived in the new city, and happily obtained a black crystal. Nice!

After entering the city, Xiang Yan's gaze swept casually across the crowd, finally landing on a disheveled, hunched-over nobody.

That poor wretch was clumsily picking up fallen fruit from a roadside stall, his expression anxious, brows furrowed, as if all the misfortunes in the world had been poured onto him alone.

Xiang Yan's hand, tucked in his pocket, guided a portion of the black crystal's power. The surface of the black crystal was suddenly covered with a dark luster, and as the power surged, energy as black as ink silently and rapidly poured into the poor wretch's body.

Instantly, the man's dejected face twisted ferociously, and his aura became vicious in an instant.

His body expanded, his muscles bulged, his clothes were torn to shreds, and he transformed into a hideous-looking Monster.

He roared, his huge claws sweeping across the street, whipping up a storm and causing the surrounding tourists to flee in panic.

Xiang Yan smiled lightly, his figure turning into a gentle breeze and concealing itself within the Chaos.

At this moment, he only needed to wait quietly for the person he wanted to appear.

Sure enough, not long after, a brilliant light cut through the Chaos, dazzling like the birth of the morning sun.

The Magical Girl appeared gracefully from the Void Realm, her wand flowing with rainbow light, her eyes burning with determination and resolve.

She did not hesitate at all, waving her wand and chanting spells, launching a fierce attack at the Monster.

Two forces collided fiercely on the city streets, light and shadow alternating, while strong winds and raging fire tore and ravaged the world between heaven and earth.

The power of justice ultimately prevailed over madness. As the Magical Girl's finishing move bloomed with radiance, a blinding beam of light shot up into the sky, completely obliterating the Monster.

The battle ended, and the points of victory light gradually dissipated like stars. The Magical Girl turned into brilliant particles of light, dissolving into the air, leaving behind only an ethereal loneliness.

Xiang Yan stood in the distance, watching the particles of light fading across the sky, a playful smile curling at the corners of his lips.

Through those light particles, he completed his lock-on of the Magical Girl.

Soon, Xiang Yan found the Magical Girl and followed her to her residence.

When the girl and her Magical Pet let their guard down, Xiang Yan did not hesitate to strike and knock them unconscious.

Without hesitation, he immediately rushed toward the core of the Formation in the city.

Xiang Yan crossed his hands, and power, like a torrent, poured into the core of the Formation, following the veins of the Formation and reshaping the entire thing.
