201: Chapter 201 "I invited you to my home, shouldn't you invite me too...?"

Lang Lie carried Tang Ruan back to his room.

He gently placed her on the bed.

The bedding was exceptionally soft, and the two brand-new pillows looked like they were products of Red Fox City.

Lang Lie must have noticed in Dragon Valley that she was used to sleeping on such soft pillows and had prepared them especially for her.

Lang Lie lifted her head and tucked the pillow beneath it.

He then lay down beside her, propping his head up with one hand, gazing down at her.

He extended his index finger and gently traced her features from between her brows down to her chin.

As if he wanted to deeply engrave every detail of her into his heart.

"What are you doing?" Tang Ruan asked.

"Memorizing you."

Tang Ruan laughed. "We've only been apart for a few months, have you already forgotten what I look like?"

Lang Lie raised his eyes, gazing into hers.

"If I remember you clearly enough, my dreams will feel more real."

Tang Ruan was startled deep down. Was he actually relying on dreams to alleviate his longing?

Indeed, they had been separated for too long.

Even when they were in Dragon Valley, they had basically seen each other every day.

But all along, it had been Fen Tian who monopolized the time spent with her.

Tang Ruan suddenly felt an urge to compensate him.

Furthermore, she really, truly missed Lang Lie so much.

She took the initiative to reach out and wrap her arms around his neck.

She offered her lips up to him.

Lang Lie took the opportunity to pull her waist tighter and leaned over her.

His skin was searingly hot, and the air was filled with an amorous atmosphere.

Lang Lie's hand moved downward amidst their heated murmurs...

Tang Ruan pressed herself against his firm chest in response, closing her eyes.

Suddenly—

"Tang Ruan, are you inside?"

It was Tudou's voice.

The atmosphere froze in an instant.

Tang Ruan sobered up from her immersion and turned to look at the door.

She was just about to speak.

Suddenly, a large hand was placed over her lips.

"Shh... don't speak."

Lang Lie lowered his voice, which carried a hint of hoarseness.

Feeling that his body had already undergone changes, it really wasn't a good time to stop.

Tang Ruan nodded obediently.

"Tang Ruan? Tang Ruan, are you not there?"

Tudou called out twice more, then seemed to sigh and turned away.

Lang Lie removed his palm, and both of them breathed a sigh of relief.

The next second, his kiss landed on her again.

Tang Ruan gripped his thick back muscles tightly.

Enjoying his release of longing.

Lang Lie somewhat eagerly pulled at the sash of her dress...

"Boss!"

Outside the door, Lang Chi's boisterous voice suddenly rang out.

Lang Lie: "Get out!"

Lang Chi: "Okay... okay..."

Lang Chi transformed into his Beast Form and fled quickly.

In his anger, Lang Lie unconsciously released a wave of pressure.

Tang Ruan suddenly realized that his Energy had increased by who knows how many times since he left Dragon Valley a few months ago.

It seemed that the spirit fruit and gemstones she had given Lang Lie were very useful.

He was Duan Shi's Cub; his own "Energy pool" must be very large.

Before, he was only at Level One, simply because he hadn't had the opportunity to receive more Energy nourishment.

But after this wave of pressure was released, both of them suddenly sobered up.

They couldn't continue with peace of mind no matter what.

Both of them kept glancing at the door from time to time, as if at any second, a beastman would suddenly knock.

Calling both of their names.

When they looked at the door for the third time.

Indeed, a shorter Female Beastman appeared at the doorway.

Through the sheepskin window paper, Tang Ruan saw her standing at the door for a little while.

She even seemed to press her ear against the door.

But, before Lang Lie could get angry again, she turned and left.

Tang Ruan: ...

Tang Ruan soothingly rubbed Lang Lie's arm.

"How about we forget it... There will definitely be a lot of things to do during the day..."

"We can't forget it!"

Lang Lie furrowed his brows slightly, his expression somewhat like a sulking child.

He re-tied the sash he had pulled open and helped Tang Ruan tidy her clothes and hair.

In an instant, he transformed into a giant silver-gray wolf.

Tang Ruan widened her eyes slightly; even his Beast Form was more majestic and powerful than it had been a few months ago.

She exclaimed inwardly: So handsome!

Lang Lie turned his head, his ice-blue eyes like high-purity gemstones.

"Get on."

Tang Ruan climbed onto his back with a little excitement.

His fur was indeed thicker, smoother, and more comfortable than before.

It reminded Tang Ruan of a blanket costing tens of thousands that she had touched once while accompanying a colleague to a home goods store.

It didn't even feel as good as her Beast Husband.

She couldn't help but bury her head in the back of his neck and nuzzle him.

It was still Lang Lie's scent; so happy.

Seeing that she liked it, Lang Lie's lips curled into a smile.

His current Beast Form was fully large enough for Tang Ruan to lie on like a small bed.

But for safety's sake, Tang Ruan still lay on his back, clutching his neck tightly.

"Hold on tight."

As soon as Lang Lie finished speaking, he used his Supernatural Ability to burst the door open.

Carrying her on his back, he leapt onto the roof of the City Lord's mansion and turned to run toward the mountain behind it.

This mountain wasn't high, its slopes rising gently, covered in green grass and wildflowers.

Lang Lie's powerful forelimbs stepped onto a rock, and he leapt forward.

Mid-air, Tang Ruan turned her head back.

She saw grass clippings mixed with petals flying backward, the green grass combed by the warm breeze like smooth hair.

Above her head was warm sunlight, and the air had a fresh scent.

A feeling of freedom and happiness burst through her chest.

She shouted loudly at the blue sky and white clouds: "Lang Lie! I like you!"

"You've finally returned to my side!"

"I'm so happy!"

Lang Lie didn't stop his pace.

But she felt beneath her that his powerful heartbeat was thumping even more forcefully and rapidly in response to her voice.

Lang Lie dashed to the top of the mountain in one breath, standing on the highest peak.

He let out a long, powerful howl.

Hearing his voice, the wolf clan of Wolf City one after another transformed into their Beast Forms to respond.

Tang Ruan didn't know what the howl meant.

But she felt that it must be his response of love to her.

Because the next second, he transformed into his human form and held her tightly in his arms.

Lowering his head, he locked onto her lips.

A moment later, Lang Lie raised his head, and both of them were slightly panting.

Lang Lie picked up Tang Ruan, crossing his arms so she sat on his arm, and walked toward a nearby forest.

The forest was dense, surrounded by shrubs of varying heights, offering quite good privacy...

"We're here!"

Just as Tang Ruan was letting her imagination run wild.

Lang Lie stopped in front of a towering giant tree that was at least three meters wide.

He set Tang Ruan down.

There was a naturally formed cave in the giant tree, large enough for a person to walk into with their arms outstretched.

Lang Lie bent slightly and walked into the cave, then poked his head out toward her and smiled.

"Welcome to visit my home."

Tang Ruan curiously walked inside.

She had never lived in a tree hollow before.

The inside of the tree hollow was about eight or nine square meters, with thick furs spread on the ground.

Some small stone bowls and small stone jars were hung on the inner walls as decorations, and there was an inexplicably familiar feeling to the rustic atmosphere.

Sunlight shone in through a crack in the giant tree, so it wasn't dark inside the cave.

Lang Lie patted the space beside him. Tang Ruan lay down next to him, pillowing her head on his arm, and asked, "Why did you make such a little house?"

As she spoke, her gaze was once again drawn to the stone bowls on the wall.

She finally understood why she felt a sense of familiarity; those were the ones they had used back in Dongdong Valley.

Looking at the others, they were also things from that time.

So was this cave Lang Lie's "shrine"?

Lang Lie suddenly leaned over and said in her ear, "I've invited you to visit my home, shouldn't you also invite me..."
