32: Chapter 32 Tang Ruan tells you herself, does she like me?
Lang Lie's ice-blue eyes were filled with a bloodthirsty light.
He bit down hard on the one-eyed wolf's neck, the muscles in his jaw twitching.
His stark white teeth, like sharp blades, pierced into its flesh.
He kept emitting angry low growls...
I don't know how much time passed...
Until the one-eyed wolf's blood flowed over his feet.
He still did not let go.
"Lang... Lang Lie..."
Tang Ruan walked over and touched his front paw.
Lang Lie looked at her abruptly, his sharp gaze making Tang Ruan tremble.
He stared at her.
He released the "prey" in his mouth.
He took a step toward Tang Ruan.
"Why didn't you bring me with you?
Why did you let yourself get hurt?
Why did you want to leave me?"
With every sentence he spoke, he took a step toward her.
Tang Ruan instinctively took a step back.
She wasn't even sure if the current Lang Lie still retained his "human" sanity.
Tang Ruan bumped into the cliff wall behind her.
A sharp pain surged through her.
She suddenly clutched her chest.
"Lang Lie... I'm in so much pain..."
Lang Lie's pupils gradually dilated.
In the blink of an eye, he transformed back into his human form.
"Mistress... Mistress..." He held her, at a complete loss.
"I want to go home."
"Okay, I will take you home."
After Lang Lie left.
Above the cliff, a pebble fell down with a clattering sound.
Above the cliff, Lang Yue's sharp claws were deeply embedded in a tree trunk.
I didn't expect her to be so lucky.
Not only was she not killed in the collision, but even that old beast didn't manage to kill her!
"Lang Yue..."
Lang Yue's whole body stiffened, and she turned around with a smile.
"Lang Mo, you're back."
Lang Mo was carrying a deer on his shoulder and walked toward her.
"Yeah, it's a bit better above the valley than before, but there still isn't much prey. I didn't find the cow you wanted, only managed to catch this."
Lang Mo threw the deer in front of her.
It landed on Lang Yue's foot, giving her a fright.
"What are you doing?" She shouted sharply.
Lang Mo turned his face away.
"You did it, didn't you?" He pointed to the tree at the bottom of the cliff.
"You... what are you talking about?"
Lang Mo looked at her abruptly, his pitch-black eyes making Lang Yue unable to read him for a moment.
"I'm not very smart, and I'm not as capable as Lang Lie or Lang Chi... but I am an experienced hunter."
He dragged Lang Yue to the edge of the cliff and pointed at the tree trunk below.
"I can tell that the tooth marks on this are yours. When Lang Lie comes to his senses, do you think he won't be able to tell?"
Lang Yue's eyes widened in terror.
She had just happened to see Tang Ruan go down earlier.
She was momentarily possessed by a devilish impulse and didn't think that much at all.
"Then... what should I do?"
She grabbed Lang Mo nervously.
Lang Mo angrily shook her off.
"If you don't want to take me as a Beast Husband, I accept that!
If you want to eat beef, I'll sneak out of the valley behind the Boss's back to find it for you!
But you... why did you have to harm Tang Ruan!"
Lang Yue had never seen him act so tough.
After a moment of silence.
She suddenly scoffed.
"Lang Mo, because all the best things should have been mine to begin with. I am the daughter of this Tribe's patriarch!
If my father hadn't died trying to save everyone, and if my younger brother wasn't so useless, I should have had the best of everything in this Tribe!
Including—the most excellent Male Beastmen!
I am the one who is truly pitiful!"
Hearing Lang Yue say this.
Lang Mo's heart softened again.
"In any case, don't do anything to hurt Tang Ruan again.
Otherwise, even if it's you, the Boss will kill you.
As for what happened here... I'll figure something out..."
"Boss! The forest is on fire!"
Tang Ruan had just finished her medicine and laid down.
Lang Chi rushed in like the wind.
Lang Lie gave him a look.
It scared him into a "sudden brake," and he almost fell.
"Boss, the forest is on fire, we need your Supernatural Ability to put it out.
Your Supernatural Ability—"
"Let Lang Yu go!" Lang Yu had almost recovered, except for some superficial wounds.
He wanted to stay with Tang Ruan tonight and wasn't going anywhere.
Lang Chi said in a weak voice, "But Lang Yu's Supernatural Ability is wind, and the wildfire will only grow larger when it encounters wind..."
Lang Lie remembered that wildfire in the wolf clan.
It was just because a strong wind happened to blow.
In the end, even after exhausting his Energy, he couldn't control it.
He clenched his fists.
However, he felt now.
As long as he left, it felt like he would lose his Mistress.
Just like before, when he lost everyone he cared about!
"Lang Lie... if you don't put out the fire, it will eventually burn to our side..." Tang Ruan said weakly.
Besides, she had already taken her medicine.
What she needed now was rest.
Lang Lie pursed his lips, as if he had made a certain decision, and stood up abruptly.
He walked up to Lang Chi.
"You stay here and guard her; you are not allowed to go anywhere!
If you dare to leave even one step, I will bite you to death!"
Lang Chi touched his own neck.
"Okay, Boss."
Lang Lie walked to the entrance of the cave and looked back at Tang Ruan one more time.
With only him as a Beast Husband, he really couldn't protect her well.
Tang Ruan had helped others treat their illnesses so many times, and finally, she treated herself once.
She was really afraid of pain.
So, as soon as she had some Energy, she drove the illness out of herself.
Then, her strength was exhausted, and she drifted into a deep sleep.
Every time she woke up, she could always see Lang Lie guarding her side, his face pale.
She reached out and touched his head.
"You are so good, how could I bear to let you die with me!"
Lang Lie slowly opened his eyes.
He stared at her blankly, his heart filled with mixed emotions.
If it weren't for the fear of her getting hurt, who would be willing to share the person they love the most with others?
"Boss! I brought food for Tang Ruan!"
Lang Chi's voice came from the entrance.
He placed the things on the stone table.
Tang Ruan: "Thank you!"
Lang Chi looked at her with a grin, seemingly having no intention of leaving.
"Is something the matter?" Tang Ruan asked.
Lang Chi's gaze first landed on Lang Lie's face, seeing his tacit approval.
Only then did he say to Tang Ruan: "Everyone is looking for the patriarch for some things, I'll keep you company here for a while."
Lang Lie's hands slowly tightened, the veins on his arms bulging.
Tang Ruan vaguely sensed that something was wrong...
"Not necessary." Her tone was flat.
Yet Lang Lie had already stood up and walked out.
Lang Chi walked to his former position and sat down.
Tang Ruan emphasized her tone, "Not necessary."
Lang Chi stared at her affectionately: "Tang Ruan, in the future, I can protect you together with the Boss."
Anger and grievance suddenly surged up from Tang Ruan's chest.
She picked up the stone bowl on the table and smashed it onto the ground!
"Are you unable to understand?
I said not—nec—essary!"
Lang Chi froze for a moment.
Tang Ruan's eyes were fixed on Lang Lie's stiff back.
A moment later, he still stepped out of the cave that belonged to the two of them.
He absolutely could not, out of selfishness, let his Mistress suffer even the slightest bit of harm again.
Tang Ruan glared at Lang Chi on the side.
Before she could speak.
Lang Chi stood up abruptly.
"I'm leaving, my dear grandmother, I'm leaving right now!
Don't make yourself sick with anger!"
Lang Chi went to Lang Yue's cave, fuming.
Pacing back and forth, scratching his hair frantically.
What was going on?
Why was Tang Ruan's attitude toward him different from what his big sister said?
Seeing Lang Yue walk in with a charming smile.
He hurriedly rushed over to ask: "Sister, did Tang Ruan tell you herself that she likes me?"
Lang Yue answered nonchalantly: "Of course! Don't you like her too?"
"But... she is the Boss's Mistress.
And, you don't even like Tang Ruan, why would she tell you these things?"
"She didn't tell me, she told someone else."
"Who?"
Lang Yue rolled her eyes impatiently, "How could Mother have such a useless son like you!"
Lang Chi: ...
Lang Chi: "You just wanted to use me to ruin things between the Boss and Tang Ruan!"
