Chapter 128: Waking the Princess. (Part 1)

As Kamari and I entered the temple, the sleeping Princess rested on an altar as Calla was starting the ritual. I let go of Kamari's waist and pulled out my revolvers as I got a bad feeling just now. As the magic circle began to form under the Princess on the altar and black smoke exited her body, a body started to form as I quickly raised my revolver and fired.

The demon blocked the bullet with his scythe, flying back as I pushed off the ground, chasing after him as he slammed through the glass window as I spoke. "Take care of the princess, I will handle this limp dick," I yelled out, jumping through the window, firing at him. He deflected the shots; this was the first time someone had been able to fight me so well after Azel.

"I can see why you are the shit stain Azels' right-hand man," I said, making him grin as I fired again. He quickly rushed forward, dodging my fire. "So you are the one called John Colt, let's dance. I want to see if you have what it takes to get my master's respect." He said.

Dagraxed flapped his four wings, picking up his speed as he closed the 300 meters. I quickly pulled out a CS grenade and pulled the pin, throwing it five feet in front of me as he reached just before it. He flew through it, shaking his head as I did a spinning back kick, sending him flying through a wall and crashing onto a rooftop five hundred meters away, as I rushed after him.

Jumping into the air as he slowly picked himself up, one of his eyes closed as he blocked and deflected several shots as he back-stepped. I landed on the rooftop, crushing tiles on it as I rushed towards him. I can't let him take the pace of the fight, pulling out a sawed-off shotgun I had made these past few days as I got close, pointing it at his head.

His eyes widened as I pulled the trigger, but he bent backwards, sending his foot upwards as I stepped backwards, storing the sawed-off shotgun and revolver as I unholstered the duallers and opened fire. He quickly took to the air as I summoned two Hap units, and I jumped onto one.

He began trying to gain distance as I switched to the sig spear and opened fire, while the Hap units opened fire with their GAU-8 Avenger. Dagraxed was faster as his movements barely dodged our fire. He swiftly turned around and rushed towards us as we fired. He dodged the Hap fire while deflecting mine.

I could tell he knew the Haps' fire was more lethal, so he avoided them. His scythe began to glow a dark black colour as he got close to the Hap I wasn't on and cut it in half down the middle. This shocked me, as his scythe went straight through the magic-metal barrier.

Shit, I need to get him on the ground, I cursed to myself, making me come up with a plan, pulling out two M67 Grenades, and ordering the Hap I was on to rush towards him. Hiding them behind my back as we sped towards him. "You want to play chicken, I can do that." He said with a wicked grin.

These two grenades are special as they are of legendary rank, packing way more of a punch than usual. As we got closer, I pulled the pin and waited until we were three seconds away from meeting, as I let the spool go, and he went to cut the Hap in half. I cartwheeled over him, letting go of the grenades, and I reached above him, letting them fall between us as they exploded.

Shrapnel ripped through both of us, fuck, it was so damn painful as I felt my face get shredded, and it felt like my jaw was ripped off. My body screamed in pain before I felt myself falling; both of us were maybe 800 feet in the air at this point. I don't know if it killed him or wounded him, but no way it didn't do damage.

I thought to myself as I felt my body reach terminal velocity before slamming into a roof, then into a floor, before hitting another floor. I could finally see out of my eyes as I picked myself up I found out both my arms were gone, but they were regrowing as I looked at them. Walking towards the front door, a scream came out, and I walked past a mirror, seeing my jaw gone; it was slowly regrown.

If I look like this, then he had to be fucked. I exited the house as I heard a scream and started running towards it. Kicking a door in, I saw him panting on a broken table. As he saw me, he quickly got up his wings were gone, and his back was fucked up. "You are fucking crazy." He said, looking at my body as it healed.

He quickly ran past me as I chased him without arms. "Shit, I need to get away from this freak," Dagraxed muttered to himself. He knew that if I healed, he would die. But his body didn't let him move as fast as usual, as he looked behind him, seeing me getting closer. Shit, if only he hadn't dropped his scythe, he could have attacked me.

As he turned the corner, he noticed people standing around something, and his eyes lit up; luck was on his side. Rushed towards his scythe and slid to grab it before turning around and rushing towards this monster.

Seeing him grab his scythe, I squinted my eyes, my arms were back to my wrist, and I needed two minutes before they came back. As I quickly ducked, sliding between his legs as he swung his scythe, before rapidly getting on one knee, sending a back kick to one of his knees, and making him falter as he was swinging his scythe behind him, missing me.

Moving to stand as I lifted a leg to bring down an axe kick onto his head, only for him to roll out of the way. As my foot hit the stone road, it rippled before becoming a crater. He gained distance as I held up my now reformed hands and smiled.

"Shall we go for round two, Dagraxed?" I said with a wide grin as he gulped and slowly walked back as I pulled the revolvers out. "I see, you have the right to gain my master's respect. I don't think any human would be as ruthless or crazy as you when it comes to trying to kill someone." He said with a shaking voice.

A tumbleweed blew between us as I quickly lifted my revolvers as he tried to deflect and dodge. He was able to do some of them, but a few of the rounds glanced off his arms and legs. Black blood dripped onto the stone street as he panted, his body was aching all over, and I could see him struggling to keep his scythe up.

Reloading the revolvers as I slowly wounded him over and over, making him suffer until it got to the point he dropped his scythe, and he chuckled. "I don't know which of us is the demon, me or you." He said with a grin as I put a bullet in his head, killing him as his body fell like a puppet with its strings cut.

Walking over to a wall, I leaned against it and slid down, panting as my body still hurt everywhere. Pulling out a smoke and lighting it. "I still need to get stronger. He is ranked third on the list. If I struggled this much, I am still not there." I said to myself as I blew the smoke out.
