Chapter 3: Waking up on a shore.

The sound of water slapping against rocks echoed inside my head, bringing me back to reality as I groaned out, feeling my wet body move when a cripping sound echoed out before a loud beep went off inside my head—making me wake up to a semi-transparent screen in front of me.

What the hell was going on as I lay on a bunch of rocks, finally remembering I was thrown off the ship and was inside a storm that made a whirlpool. Picking myself up off the ground and looking around, the sun was high in the sky, so it was around noon. The area looked like the higher parts of the Northern Hemisphere, so I didn't need to worry about the climate too much.

It wasn't winter time, as I looked around, I saw some stuff on the stone beach, and I got up the screen, glaring at me. I pushed my hand through it and thought to myself. Was I seeing things, or was this thing real?

Running my finger over the words [Creation Magic Lv 1] as I did, the screen changed, showing me a layout area, raising my eyebrow.

[This ability allows the person to create an object as long as they have an understanding of the makeup and components that make it up. It will cost mana, with the cost increasing for the complexity of the object and parts needed. Cost will go down with the Level of the skill. To level it up, the user needs to make things to reach the next Level.]

Looking at the screen, I noticed a 0/100 next to the skill, which probably meant I need to use it 100 times to level up. Opening the create screen and starting to make a 1911 Classic SS (38 Super), one of my family's cheaper pistols, I finished laying out the parts before putting it together.

A cost number showed up, telling me it would be 250 mana to make. "Damn, that's a lot, I don't even know if I will be able to buy the magazine and ammo for it," I said to myself before making the magazine and ammo, pushing it to 290. I paused for a moment before pulling up another screen and building.

I started to make a Single Action Army (7.5"). It was a classic revolver, and as I finished it, it showed me 125 mana for one. Meaning I could buy two for the price of one M1911—a place I wouldn't need a magazine—and only the ammo. So I made two, just in case one broke or I was disarmed.

Making the .45 caliber rounds until I ran out of mana, I was able to make 25 rounds before running low, with only three mana left. I didn't want to risk running out, because who knows what would happen if I did. I have read novels that said you would die from it.

Pressing the create button, a bright light shone in front of me and dimmed as two revolvers floated in the air, and I reached out and grabbed them before they could fall. As I looked at them and smiled, they were the classic revolvers I had known for ages.

Checking the six-round cylinder to make sure it worked right, opening the gate, and looking at each chamber before testing the hammer and trigger. The trigger was a little tighter than I would like, but nothing to worry about.

It looked like it was a good revolver overall. But I would need to test-fire it to make sure it worked. I put down the revolvers and pressed the create button on the ammo before holding out my shirt as twenty-five rounds showed up in the air.

I caught all the rounds as I squatted down, picking up one of the revolvers and began to load it with six rounds before doing the other one. "Well, about time to test these out," I said, pointing at a tree about ten meters away.

Cocking the hammer back before pulling the trigger, sending the hammer forward, and the round is fired. It hit the tree before I pulled the hammer back again and pulled once more. The sound of the revolver firing echoed out until I fired all six rounds out of it before putting the hammer down and pushing open the gate using the ejector rod, emptying the chambers one by one.

I looked down to see the casing glowing on the ground, making me squat to touch it, when a beep echoed out, and it vanished. Looking at the screen, I tilted my head, and while watching it, I felt another casing, and my man went up by one.

As I did the rest, I ended up getting about a quarter of the mana I used to make them back. "I see so that I can get back some of my mana from the empty casings," I said to myself before getting back up and firing the other one. Now that I know both work perfectly well, I looked at the screen again, pressed the Storage ability, and a portal-like mirror appeared.

Taking one of the revolvers, I pushed my hand through it as a beep sounded out, and I noticed a picture with a 1x on it. Then I put seven bullets into it, showing me a picture of the bullets and a 7x on it. I couldn't tell if there was a space limit, as it only showed the photo and a scroll option, but since I only had two items, I couldn't.

I took the lifejacket off and put it into the storage along with my backpack, which I still had. What shocked me was that it put the backpack inside, and didn't count the case with my computer or my computer. I would need to check the limits of this storage ability, as I believe this could come in handy if I were to build my drones.

But right now, that's enough of trying to figure out the skills, as I need to find out if I am the only one here or if anyone survived along with me. As I thought about this, the picture of what I saw before I passed out played in my mind. That whirlpool had to be some portal, as I shouldn't be alive. Meaning the chances of Liliana and the others living are high.

Loading the revolver I had with me still before placing it in my belt, I looked around. The right side of the beach had a cliff, while the left side didn't. I guess I will go left then. Making up my mind, I started to walk, hoping that Liliana and the others were alright.
