Chapter 88: The Harpy village. (Part 1)

Inside a mountain valley, a woman with black feathers as hair and golden outlines on them sat atop a giant nest, her tan skin gleaming in the moonlight, looking down at her sisters, who had run out of men nearby. But their mating season had just come to an end, and she and her sisters were taking care of the eggs they had laid.

"Next mating season, we will have to fly further." She mumbled to herself as her sisters covered their eggs with their bodies and straw. As she looked up into the air, she noticed an odd flying creature flying at the edge of her territory, but she didn't chase after it as it didn't enter her land.

A Harpy landed in front of her after returning from her scouting as it screeched at her, making her tilt her head. "So a man has visited that human village. Well, let him be. We do not need males right now, and we have taken all the males from there. No point in going out for one male." She said, leaning back as she looked over her nest at the mound of human bones.

As she rested on her nest-style throne, guarding her eggs as the clouds blocked out the moon, only the village torches kept the darkness away. She closed her eyes to get some rest as she slowly fell asleep.

Meanwhile, outside the valley, I looked at a small computer screen. I had followed the Harpy that had just returned and found who seemed to be the leader of this flock of Harpies. I counted a hundred Harpies as I licked my lips. What a wonderful treat.

I signalled my drones to start walking up the mountain ridges. I wanted to encircle the Harpy Village on all four sides; it was best not to kill as many as I could. It would be a waste to destroy such beautiful creatures when they can do better alive, serving my dick.

Watching the village as they slept, only about ten were keeping watch, telling me they had to be the strongest group in this area. If not, they wouldn't risk having so many asleep. In fear of being attacked at night, she looked at the leader, whose thick thighs were barely covered with clothes. She had five eggs near her, meaning those were her babies.

I equipped my drones with standard ammunition so I wouldn't kill them, and I had enough potions to treat them after I tamed them. I read up on the tame title, and it said that taming is an odd job, as once you tame a monster, they will feed off your mana from time to time. Of course, they also like to eat regular food, but they don't need to.

You get a monster storage space, and it grows with how many monsters you have. The problem is that to summon them out of storage, you need enough mana, so most people don't become tamers, as it relies heavily on the mana pool. But I am not one new to titles and abilities that need a huge mana pool.

As I watched, movement began to happen in the village as a screech echoed out, and the Harpies woke up. It was strange that none of my drones had even made it to the edge of the ridges, yet they were only halfway up the mountain. As I zoomed in on a Harpy with white feathers for hair and tan skin, her wings made a semi-circle around five eggs.

I noticed movement in the eggs as the tops started to crack. I see her eggs are hatching, then another screech came out. I smiled. It looks like the night has swung in my favour. I thought to myself with a smirk on my face, pulling out a smoke and lighting it as I hid behind a rock, watching the screen.

Then, the moment I had been waiting for happened: the leader let out a screech as she looked over her eggs, a smile on her face. I could tell she loved her babies, and that will be her weakness. All the nests became lively as the eggs hatched.

Watching the mothers clean up the shells by picking up a bowl and crushing them before feeding the ground-up egg shells to the baby harpies. I mean, some birds do eat their shells, so it made sense. After the mothers fed them, they started washing the leftover egg mess off their bodies and wings.

As I watched, I received a report that the first group had reached their spot and was waiting for orders. I was waiting for the best moment, when they were at their most vulnerable. To maximise my leverage in making them submit to me.

Every passing minute, I could see the Harpies relax and hug their babies until they started to fall back asleep. The sound of joyful screeching slowly gave way to the chirping of crickets. I had twenty Hap class drones on standby, twenty miles away, waiting for my drones to get into place.

When the village became quiet once more, and my drones were in place, I ordered the Hap drones to move in and napalm the outer area of the village, encircling it in fire. They broke off into four groups, each taking a wing of the village as they moved in. It took them ten minutes to finally attack as their napalm bombs fell off their wings, hinting at the ground exploding as it woke the village.

I watched as the lower-level Harpies panicked as they tried to protect their babies, and the stronger ones began to take flight to attack. But my Artorias drones target their wings, sending them back to their nests. The leader saw this and tried to find the attackers, but the flames and smoke blocked her vision.

She flew into the sky and screeched as a whirlwind spread out from her. Blowing the napalm around, spreading it out, only made the burning worse and the smoke thicker. She started to panic as I yelled out.

"Stand down!" My voice echoed throughout the valley, shocking the Harpies as I walked through the flames. My defence was strong enough for me not to be damaged by them, and I looked up at the leader as two Ulysses-class drones walked out after me, scaring the leader.

"I desire to talk to you. If you wish to save your flock, it's best to hear me out," I said, looking up at the woman. "Take a more human form, if you want to talk," I said. She looked around and noticed that her sisters and their daughters were in danger, making her sigh and nod as she slowly landed.

Turning into a more human form, but she still had one wing, but it wasn't on her arm; it ended up on her back. She must have just reached the higher parts of the Epic Rank. "Can you please put out the fire?" She said, worried as I nodded, and a couple of my drones started to extinguish it.

"My name is John Colt. We should start with our names. What do the harpies call you?" I asked her as she nodded and spoke. "I am Queen Erebos. What can I offer you not to kill my sisters and our children?" She asked me.

"I desire to tame all of you. Doing so will keep you ladies alive, along with your newborn children," I said, her eyes squinting at me. "Do you expect me to agree to that?" She said as I snapped my finger and one of the Ulysses-class drones turned its gun to a part of the valley wall, a good bit away from the village, and fired two rounds.

These were Legendary rounds as they slammed into the wall 1,000 meters away, making two massive explosions, sending a shockwave through the valley, as I tilted my head, smirking as she looked on in shock. "If you want your people to live, I think it would be best if you agreed to it, Erebos," I said, knowing I held all the power.
