She nodded as we walked over to the next chest, which had a thumb-sized chunk of metal, as she spoke. "This metal is called Mythralis Veil; it's scarce. This is all we have inside this Empire. It is the lightest metal I know of; it is also the fourth hardest metal in the world, but its effect makes a shield against magic once it feels magic in the air. Making it extremely hard to forge into an item worth wild." She said.

As she held a finger near it, a flame appeared, and a three-inch shield formed around it. I picked it up after she moved her hand away, the prompt appeared, and I clicked yes. This could help protect my drones against magic if I integrate it properly. "How big does the shield get?" I asked her.

"It depends on the size and how you use it. I once witnessed a shield made out of the stuff making a four bubble around the wielder of the shield." She said, making me think for a moment that it would be best for me to use this metal for the rivets and screws on my drones. Allowing for a complete cover of my drones, as screws are all over the drones, and the rivets hold the armor on.

Putting the metal back into the box, we moved on to the next one. As she opened it, I noticed the metal was floating, trying to get away. "Aetherion is its name; it can float, other than that, nothing much. It is somewhat rare and doesn't have much use other than levitation." She said, looking at it with disinterest, but to me, as I touched it and pressed yes.

This would make flying drones so much easier, as it would have natural lift. "How high does it float?" I asked. She tilted her head, wondering why I would care about floating. It was a fist-sized amount of ore.

"This amount can float up to the ceiling, but if you try to hold it. It won't make you leave the ground. You would need something about your height to leave the ground, and you would only get up to the roof." She explained to me.

This was a three-story building, about 10.5 meters (34.5 feet) tall. "So gravity still affects it?" I asked, making her nod. "Even the biggest pieces won't just fly into the sky. They stop going higher at some point; we don't know why." She told me.

As I moved my hand away and let my mind race with how to use that metal before moving towards the next chest. The next couple of metals didn't have any special effects, but I still touched them to learn how to make them as we stopped at the last one. She opened it.

"This is Electrum, it is the most used metal for forging magic weapons as it's strong and somewhat lighter than the metal you use. It is the ability to amplify magic by three times the normal of a weapon." She said, making my eyes light up. If my common rank magic bullets were already strong enough using this, I would multiply them by three.

I touched it and added it to my skill. With this, I would need to test so much now. It was going to be a busy couple of days. I wanted to make an upgraded Artorais-type drone for now. "Thank you, uhm?" I said, forgetting we hadn't even given each other our names.

"We haven't introduced ourselves. My name is John Colt," I said, and her eyes lit up. "You are the one who gave the Empress the blueprint for this 'firearm,'" she said, walking over to her cabinet and pulling the Martini-Henry.

"So you are the one the Empress tasked to make them?" I asked as she nodded. "It is a simple design, but the idea is brilliant. I am shocked that we hadn't thought of this before. It would make our race's ability even more powerful. This will make us more able to defend ourselves without risking losing people." She said, smiling.

"My name is Firira. Please, when you have more time, can we talk about weapons from your world?" She said with eyes almost sparkling, making me chuckle and nod. "When I come back, we can talk all you want about weapons. I will even show you some of my very own," I said, making her hug me. She was sweaty, but her sweat smelled like roses for some odd reason.

We bid each other goodbye as Varda and I mounted the carriage. As I sat down, Varda moved quickly as she sat on my lap, kissing me. "I don't mind, but you will only have about twenty minutes until we get back to your palace and I head back to my mansion," I said as she moved her hands down, undoing my pants and smiling.
