Chapter 149 149: Landing in the Kingdom of Aether.

Right now, I am sitting in the back of a Chinook helicopter while the girls sleep on the bed. We had been traveling for three days now, and we had passed through the Beastmen Empire without a problem. I had been taking my time stocking up Spartan drones on our way here, landing every twelve hours so the girls could use the bathroom and I could build my army.
I was lucky that my mana fully recovers every twelve hours, making it easier for me to match my Spartan drone making and ammo creation. Letting me fully equip each of them with a combat loadout. This allows me to stop worrying about supplies for now, but I'll still have to stockpile them.
2,282,656 was my Spartan army count, along with 798,929,600 rounds of ammo. Giving them a loadout of 7, 50-round magazines of 6.8x51mm each. It is now a fighting force that could rival any army on Earth. I just need to slowly expand it, along with giving them support, such as drones, like the other ones I have made.
Once I do that, my army will be complete. Looking at my screen and smiling.

Looking at my drone count, I would focus on Worker drones for the next few days, as I will need them to fix the fields I plan to build. Getting them to 100,000, along with creating a fleet of 10,000 C-17 Globemaster III troop transports, would allow me to transport 1,340,000 Spartans at a time. After going over the number of Knights within the Aether Kingdom, along with its soldiers, which ended up roughly being around 100,000, I figured a 13.4-to-1 ratio at the very least would be more than enough for me to steamroll them.
The Aether Kingdom has eight major cities, one being the capital, three being major trade cities, and the last four being major fort cities near the borders. They have 10 minor cities that are only guarded by a few thousand to a couple of hundred knights and soldiers. Most of the forces are in the eight major cities; once they fall, the army falls.
I plan to strike all 18 cities at once in two weeks, having found a ruinic magic that can speed up crop growth, letting them mature in two weeks. With this, I will be able to help people with a massive crop. As I picked three spots to make my crop farm, they are twenty-five miles by twenty-five miles. This will give me 1,000,000 pounds of potatoes and 11,350,000 pounds of wheat.
Meaning that if I plant two fields of potatoes, they can produce 1,000,000 pounds of potatoes, feeding roughly 500,000 to 1,500,000 per field. Depending on how I give it out, if I do two fields of wheat, I can feed about 1,350,000 per field. Right now, I am looking for a fourth field of that size, but most of the other areas are forests.
Meaning I will have to cut down a massive chunk of forest, but that will also help me, as I need to repair the cities. So it will be two birds one stone, I plan to have each Kingdom or Queendom I take over have four farms. Allowing me to feed roughly 5 million every two weeks.
Of course, I plan to give the ruinic magic to all the farmers, so that they can help with the food. Along with the few 100,000's of pounds to 1,000,000's, my land shouldn't have any hunger problems. Making it easier to rule in the long run, as people don't revolt if they have nothing bothering them. I could fuck 5% to 10% of the women in each city's population, and they wouldn't care.
Food makes people not care; if they don't have to struggle to survive, they can overlook a listful ruler. No ruler is perfect, and as long as I don't take too much from them, the men won't feel the need to rebel under my rule. After all, it's the men who fight wars; they wouldn't risk dying just because I fuck a few of the women.
In fact, the fathers of the women would be happy that their daughters had taken a liking to the man who makes their lives easier. Because they know if their daughters come with me, they won't have to suffer. This was the way it was on Earth in this time period, and to be honest, even in modern days, a father would be somewhat okay about it. They would have an issue with the "emotional" aspect.
But would get over it after a while; that is just the way life is. As I was in thought, my forearm monitor went off as the Chinook's AI told me that we are close to the landing area for the base I want to set up. "Ladies, we are almost to the area. It's time to get up." I said while looking at my watch.
It was six in the morning, and I smiled, knowing I could get my base set up today. Ten minutes later, we landed as the sun started to crest over the horizon, and the girls dismounted, and I put the Chinook away. Pulling up the blueprint of the base, I smiled.
It was twenty miles by twenty miles, and it had four runways, two running from north to south. While the other two ran east to west, letting planes take off in all directions. Hangers lined the runways with Helo pads behind them. I installed anti-air batteries every 300 meters, in pairs. They weren't missile ones, as those would have cost more. But they were 30mm x 173 KCE, Skyranger 30. It's a German-made anti-air wheeled vehicle, which I kind of like.
Not that I would tell Germany that. The base is surrounded by a three-hundred-meter wall, with dual .50 cal gattling guns every 150 meters on top, with the ammo storage going from the top of the wall to the bottom of it, allowing for no reloading until the end of the battle, as they wouldn't be able to storm the walls before being mowed down.
Granted, I don't have the ammo to stock them right now, but for now, I have more than enough Drones to handle an assault from the Aether Kingdom. I am more worried about the Demon Lord, as there is no way he wouldn't notice me building this massive base. It will take all of my mana at once to make it.
Everything is made out of Nightshade steel and Mythralis Veil, making it highly durable. "Ladies, please stand back," I said while walking a little away from them as they walked another hundred feet or so. Placing my hands on the ground as I pressed create, the whole twenty miles by twenty miles began to glow brightly in the early morning.
I knew it was going to be eye-catching as the ground started to be covered by Nightshade steel two inches thick before rapidly spreading out from me and under the women. Hangers began to be made, and the runways started to reach the end and shoot into the air rapidly. As the walls began to be made, they were four feet thick; nothing would break them. The ladies looked on in wonder as the glow slowly faded away, and I took a seat on the ground, panting.
The last thing I built inside the base was my palace. It was a thousand meters tall, black with white trim from the Mythralis Veil. Banners draped on its walls, this was my Empire's flag. It had dual Colt revolvers in an X shape centered in a wreath with Latin words under it, "Si vis pacem, para bellum." Words I always thought were the truest ever to be spoken. It was black, with the wreath and dual Colts white, and the words red.
"If you want peace, prepare for war." Your nation can never have peace unless it has the strongest military. This was the flag my Spartans will carry into battle, and the world will know of my might.
