Chapter 203: The ExoSuit (Bonus - )

Later in the evening, Bellemere Mansion.Liam had returned back to Los Angeles immediately after the private meeting at White House, as he had nothing else to do in Washington.

Walking back into his room after he was done with lunch, he vanished into the Dimensional Space. Lucy had informed him earlier that she was done with the exosuit he asked her to build for him.

She had used nearly two whole days, which is an equivalent of almost two months in the Dimensional Space, as one full day on Earth is 30 days in the Dimensional Space, and Liam gave her the task in the early hours of the morning.

Appearing in the Dimensional Space, not far from him stood the mega autonomous industrial base. It dominated the horizon like a metal continent, miles wide and alive with motion.

And standing in front of it, as expected, was Lucy.

She was waiting, her black hair flowing slightly in the artificial breeze. The faint light of the structures around her cast reflections across her eyes.

"You really finished it," Liam smiled as he walked closer.

"It’s done, Master. The base is fully operational," Lucy returned his smile and gave a small nod.

Liam stopped beside her, hands in his pockets. The building towered before him like a sleeping beast made of steel and light.

"It’s bigger than I thought."

"I expanded the lower layers," Lucy said. "You’ll understand once you see the interior."

They walked together toward the entrance. As they approached, the massive doors slid open with a soundless motion.

The moment Liam stepped inside, he stopped, as the sight before him was breathtaking.

Rows upon rows of machines stretched beyond sight—machines almost too advanced to be real. The walls shimmered faintly with embedded circuits, alive with light.

Robots of varying sizes moved in perfect coordination — some humanoid, some spider-like, others floating as if gravity didn’t apply to them. Conveyor arms extended from walls, reconfiguring machinery as new components were assembled in real time.

"This..." Liam muttered under his breath, "...is the future."

Lucy’s lips curved upward. "It’s only the outer layer. The real systems lie deeper."

He turned his head slightly, still watching everything. "You’ve outdone yourself, Lucy."

"I had a good blueprint," she said simply.

He smiled faintly. "And who gave you that?"

Lucy tilted her head playfully. "You did."

They walked deeper inside. It took them more than a day to tour the structure — though in the Dimensional Space, time flowed differently. What was a day here was only minutes on Earth. Yet for Liam, it felt endless.

They flew across massive vertical shafts that connected different levels — from energy fabrication to nano-assembly sectors. He saw autonomous 3D lattice printers creating structures larger than skyscrapers, and nanite forges filled with liquid metal streams. Some sections resembled cities made of machines, each operating in silent precision.

It took them more than a day to tour the whole place. And this was even with the fact that they still had to fly around sometimes, and Lucy didn’t show Liam every single part of the base.

If she did, it would had taken them much longer, three days at least. And even the one day tour would had been beyond impossible for an ordinary person due to how massive the whole place was. It was the industrial base was the size of a city.

By the time the tour ended, Lucy led him into a massive chamber near the heart of the facility.

"This is your command office," she said.

Liam stepped inside — and stopped again.

The office was vast, open, and perfectly balanced between functionality and comfort. The walls were tinted glass, offering a panoramic view of the inner core of the base.

There was a wide desk made of dark crystalline alloy, a seating area with couches, a private adjoining bedroom and bathroom, and a subtle waterfall installation along the far wall. The sound of running water mixed perfectly with the background sound of the facility.

"You even added air conditioning," Liam said with quiet amusement.

"Artificial circulation and atmospheric control," Lucy replied proudly. "It mimics natural environments — temperature, scent, and even humidity."

Liam’s eyes wandered toward a small fountain in the corner. "You even have running water."

"I used the molecular assembler and analyzer," she said. "I can now purify, replicate, and distribute water at will."

Liam smiled proudly. "You’ve really built a world of your own."

Lucy looked pleased, lowering her head slightly as if shy.

He reached out and patted her head gently. "Well done, Lucy."

Her eyes softened instantly, and she leaned into the touch, smiling like a child. "Thank you, Master."

"I like head pats," she said softly. "I’d like more of them... sometimes."

Liam chuckled, shaking his head. "You’ll get as many as you want."

He wondered if there was a universal rule related to head pat and head rub.

Lucy smiled again and pulled back. "Wait here," she said quickly. "I have something to show you."

She walked into the adjoining room and returned moments later, carrying two suitcases — one small and one large.

She set them both on the desk gently.

"These," she said, "are what you asked for."

"The exosuit," Liam said, eyes lighting up.

Lucy nodded and pressed a small button on the smaller suitcase. It clicked open, revealing a single black block.

"This one," she said, pointing to it, "is a compressed nanite form. It attaches to your body and materializes the exosuit instantly when you command it."

Liam leaned forward, examining it. "So it’s a full suit, stored in that?"

"Yes. It’s designed for mobility and stealth. It won’t interfere with your cultivation energy either. You can wear it directly on your skin."

He nodded approvingly. "Efficient."

Lucy smiled faintly. "Now, the other one..."

She didn’t explain further, her eyes glinting with mischief.

He turned to the big suitcase, curiosity flickering in his eyes.

Lucy stood beside it, her expression a mix of pride and mischief. That look alone made Liam suspicious. She wasn’t explaining anything — which meant whatever she’d built, she wanted to show him.

"Go on," she said, smiling. "Pick it up. Try it yourself."

Liam raised an eyebrow. "You’re enjoying this a little too much."

"Just press the button," she said, hands clasped behind her back, eyes gleaming.

He sighed, still amused, and found the small silver button near the case’s handle. "This one?"

"Yes. That one."

He pressed it.

The reaction was immediate.

A small segment of the suitcase extended forward like a metal petal unfolding. From it, a tiny ring-shaped clamp shot outward and snapped neatly over his finger — a metallic shhk! that startled him for half a second.

Before he could react, the case began to come alive.

Panels split apart with crisp mechanical precision — whirring, rotating, shifting into motion like clockwork guided by invisible hands.

The central spine of the suitcase expanded outward, the pieces detaching and floating in perfect sequence.

Then, the first plate shot toward him.

Clack!

It attached to his forearm, unfolding into a gauntlet that sealed itself with glowing seams. Another plate slid across his bicep, locking into place with a hiss of pressure.

The armor assembled around him piece by piece, rapid and exact — like a symphony of metal. The second gauntlet flew forward, connecting to his other arm, then his shoulders, then his chest.

Whrr—chhk—THUD!

The chest plate flipped over mid-air and slammed into his torso, sealing tight as blue-gold light traced along its edges. The sound echoed through the room — deep and heavy.

From the remains of the suitcase, lower plates extended outward, spiraling around his legs, locking into place from ankles to thighs. The suit contracted briefly, calibrating to his proportions.

Vents released a soft hiss of air as the internal systems engaged. The armor was sleek — black with a faint metallic sheen, elegant rather than bulky, as every line fit his body perfectly.

In seconds, he was encased from neck to toe — his arms flexed, the servos responding instantly.

Only his face remained uncovered.

Liam looked down at the desk — the last remaining piece lay there, gleaming softly under the light. The faceplate.

He froze for a moment, realizing what it was. He turned to Lucy and he saw an ecstatic smile on her face, as she gave a small nod.

Liam felt a sweet feeling in his chest, a feeling of nostalgia. Liam reached for the faceplate slowly and lifted it.

The faceplate responded automatically, separating into three sleek segments that folded around his head with surgical precision.

Click—shhhkt—LOCK.

The seal engaged, and the inside of the helmet flared to life.

A soft hummm resonated in his ears as the internal systems synchronized. Holographic light burst across his vision, illuminating the inside of the visor with faint blue circuitry, as status lines and diagnostics scrolled upward.

Liam smiled brightly, from ear to ear, beneath the mask, the faint glow from the HUD reflecting across his eyes. His chest rose slowly as he took a calm breath.

He looked at his armored hands, flexing his fingers as thin arcs of gold light chased along the joints. Every movement felt seamless and natural.

"Lucy," he called.

"Yes, master."
