5: Dude, you're not going to betray us, are you?
At this moment, inside the Orbital Spaceport.
Three FG300s had already shut down their power systems, allowing the Tugboats to sequentially drag them into the Enclosed Indoor Dock.
A slight mishap occurred en route.
Because these three FG300s had referred to their classification as Frigates during communication,
the less intelligent Unmanned Tugboats followed a Fixed Program written countless years ago,
dragging them into the Frigate Docks designed for vessels 50–220 meters in size.
However, wealthy is 250 meters long.
Hilarious, it couldn't fit at all.
What's even more outrageous is that due to command conflicts, several idiotic Unmanned Tugboats in the spaceport crashed instantly, floating motionless in place.
Fortunately, the Receiving Station had several backup Manual Tugboats.
It seemed that because the Unmanned Tugboats frequently crashed, everyone at the station was already proficient in piloting these Tugboats.
Finally, after several minutes of effort,
the staff at the Receiving Station finally towed the three wealthy ships into the Destroyers' Dock, completing the mooring process.
As the Stabilizing Mechanical Arms secured the ships, the Docking Gangways on the dock began moving toward the respective hatches of the FG300s.
"Hiss—"
Docking completed. Several soft sounds signaled that the air pressure inside the warships matched the pressure inside the dock, and the hatches opened.
Several Crew Members (Clones), already dressed in black uniforms and waiting behind the door, stepped out of the first FG300.
The exit of the docking gangway was the Reception Hall, which had been quickly and simply prepared.
Governor Alexei had been waiting here for a long time.
Watching the silent figures in black uniforms step off the gangway and walk toward him,
the aura made him start sweating profusely... But seeing the three Massive Ships still moored in the dock, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Whatever these people were here for, it was highly unlikely to involve him.
Because self-awareness was key; although he wasn't a good person, he wasn't important enough for someone to send three "destroyers" to arrest him.
It was probably just some sort of Secret Inspection?
Or maybe they were here to arrest some big shot.
In any case, as long as he wasn't caught in the act, he wouldn't face any trouble.
Feeling slightly relieved, Alexei walked forward.
The two parties stood facing each other.
"Welcome, gentlemen, traveling all this way."
"I am the Governor of this planet, Alexei."
Alexei proactively broke the silence and extended his right hand to the person leading the group.
His uniform looked slightly more complex than the others, suggesting he was the leader.
"Hello, Speer."
The man in the black uniform who was greeted, Speer, politely shook his hand, moving it up and down twice.
His voice carried a coldness similar to space, making it somewhat unsettling to hear.
Hearing this voice, Alexei thought of the notorious reputation of the Secret Inspectors and felt a chill.
However, he didn't show it on his face, but continued the conversation.
"I was just inspecting work here and happened to run into your warships entering the port,"
"Warships usually don't dock at an Orbital Spaceport unless there is a conflict,"
"What is the purpose of your fleet's arrival?"
"Do you require any assistance?"
Suddenly, Alexei saw that the information for Docking Port 44 displayed in the hall had changed color from green to red.
This was the secret signal he had agreed upon with Kirk, indicating that the batch of "Freezing Liquid" had been dealt with.
Kirk was that fast?
Truly reliable.
"No need. We are only here to find one person,"
"We have already confirmed his location,"
"We will dispatch the Marine Corps from the ship ourselves to deal with it."
As Speer spoke, he continued to stare expressionlessly into Alexei's eyes, making the Governor, who had just calmed down, feel uneasy again.
Looking for someone? And they seem to have a specific target.
What Heavenly Crime did this person commit to warrant so many people coming to arrest him?
"Understood. If you require anything, my side will provide assistance to the best of our ability."
In response to Alexei's almost fawning behavior, Speer simply nodded lightly.
"Good."
Meanwhile, the person Speer and his group were looking for was rushing straight toward his Shack with a man named Xu Chang.
"Knock, knock, knock!"
After habitually knocking, Xu Chang pushed the door open and entered.
Directly facing the door was a slightly rusted small workbench, on which lay several Replacement Components disassembled from a certain Life Support Device.
To the left of the workbench was a small bed, where a little girl, estimated to be around 1.5 meters tall, was lying.
She had an Oxygen Tube on her nose, and tubes were connected to several places on her body.
The ends of those tubes were plugged into a machine glowing green, which was connected to a Large Battery with a dented casing, humming loudly.
"Little Sis? I'm back. How are you feeling now? Are you any better?"
"Hoo—breathing isn't so difficult..."
"What is it, Big Bro?"
Looking at the pale Xu Ling in front of him, Xu Chang took a deep breath and said,
"It's nothing. Can you move now? I want to take you somewhere."
"Hehe... Does my Scummy Big Bro really... can't leave his little sister, wanting to take me everywhere..."
"Stop fooling around. I found a way that might cure you."
"Hoo—Hoo—"
Hearing this, Xu Ling was silent for a moment, then forced a weak smile.
"Forget it... Scummy Big Bro, I... *cough, cough*, don't I know my own condition?"
"Stop blindly searching for solutions. If you keep this up, you'll just be wasting credit points."
"Let's spend our last days happily, okay?"
"Don't worry about it. We don't need to worry about credit points for now."
"There's no way I'm giving up on treatment. Just wait patiently to get better!"
"Scummy Big Bro, you didn't sell your backside, did you? You borrowed High-Interest Loans the day before yesterday, and now you're telling me not to worry."
Hearing his sister's outrageous remark, Xu Chang was stunned for a moment, then turned his head away.
"I didn't borrow any High-Interest Loans, you don't talk nonsense."
"Liar! Your Terminal Access is open to me. I can see the Contract you signed."
"*Cough, cough, cough*"
Xu Chang choked slightly. It seemed she was right.
He didn't expect to be exposed here.
Xi Hai, standing nearby, checked the time. He had confirmed with night lamp that clone crew members would be coming to pick him up.
After all, asking him to go through the process of traveling to the Upper City District, taking the Space Elevator, and finally entering the spaceport to board the ship... was a bit unrealistic.
He stepped forward and patted Xu Chang on the shoulder.
"Alright, talk to your sister later. Pack up anything important. We might not be coming back."
Hearing Xi Hai's words, Xu Chang didn't immediately grasp the meaning.
"Huh?"
"Wait a minute?"
"Not coming back?"
"No?"
"Did you mean 'go with you' literally?"
Xi Hai shrugged.
"You guessed right, no prize."
"I'll go back to my place to pack a few things, then I'll come back for you."
"Damn, this is crazy,"
Xu Chang shook his head.
But on second thought, he had nothing left to miss here anyway.
If he went with him, maybe things would turn out better.
So, he started packing the things he needed to take.
"There isn't much to take here, except for the old man's Relics..."
"Let me search for them."
"BANG!"
Suddenly, the half-closed door was kicked open.
Several ferocious-looking figures stood in the doorway.
Among them, a large, One-Eyed Man with a Mechanical Prosthetic Arm spoke.
"Kid named Xu, you've got guts, huh?"
"Heard you wanted to run away?"
"Did we give you permission?"
