140: One against three
Avril's eyes were reddish-brown, with little specks of Stars in her pupils, just like fireflies dancing in the grass on a summer night, intoxicating to behold.
She took two steps forward, extended her jade-like palm, and lightly brushed against Xu Jingzhe's cheek.
Immediately, Xu Jingzhe's scalp tingled as he sensed danger.
"Bang!" He raised his hand and collided with Avril's; both were shocked!
"Your physical body is actually this formidable!" Xu Jingzhe and Avril spoke simultaneously.
"You've given me a shred of desire to fight!" Avril licked her tender, pink lips.
She lightly extended her left arm, as white and fair as a lotus root, her palm acting like a blade, slicing toward Xu Jingzhe's neck.
Xu Jingzhe tapped his toes, put down the Black Gold Long Saber, and dodged to the right; he moved away from Yang Shuang and the others, not wanting to involve them.
Avril shifted her lotus steps, instantly catching up, her right leg rotating—long, straight, fair, smooth, and gleaming—as she kicked toward Xu Jingzhe's head.
Her slender waist twisted, round, firm, and powerful, moving like a water snake, full of allure.
"Bang!" Having moved away from the others, Xu Jingzhe did not shy away, delivering a whip kick of his own, strong and powerful.
Their lower legs slammed into each other, emitting a dull thud.
"Do you know the Old Art?" Avril continued her attack, a strange glint in her eyes.
"I especially like the Old Arts body refinement from Nüwa City and Pangu City; I've always wanted to spar with an expert with a formidable physical body. You can attack me with all your might."
Xu Jingzhe's eyes burned, his mouth pressed tight, his punches striking like the wind.
He didn't speak, using his actions to prove whether he knew it or not.
A man.
When it's time to strike, just strike; giving it your all is enough.
"Thud!" "Bang!"
In just five minutes, the two had exchanged no fewer than hundreds of blows with their bodies, and Xu Jingzhe felt his fists aching faintly.
Every time their fists collided, it felt like hitting an alloy.
"You've excited me!" Avril took off her coat; a fine layer of sweat appeared on her high, straight nose bridge. She tied up her long hair, revealing her swan-like neck, as white as jade, and beckoned to Xu Jingzhe.
She actually assumed an opening stance for an Old Art!
"I was lucky enough to obtain an Old Art; I ask for your guidance!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Avril launched an attack, combining punches and palms like an antelope hanging by its horns, leaving no trace. Each palm and punch seemed soft and powerless, but in reality, they hid murderous intent.
Xu Jingzhe's pressure soared; he proceeded with caution, not daring to make a single mistake.
After being knocked back several meters by a palm strike from Avril, he took a deep breath, shook his reddened arms, circulated the energy within his body, and unleashed the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea.
Stepping with the Celestial Maiden's Drunken Steps, his footwork was exquisite to the extreme, leaving no trace. He dodged Avril's two consecutive strikes, circled behind her, and used a move called "Dongbin Draws the Sword," slicing his side-palm against her back.
The force was great enough to split stone.
However, Avril was only knocked back seven or eight meters, her body uninjured.
"Oh? Avier was knocked away." The three watched the battle between Avril and Xu Jingzhe, looking calm and collected, in no rush to attack.
Seeing that Avril was momentarily at a disadvantage, they were not only unconcerned but actually expectant.
Avril had once said that whoever could defeat her head-on, she would marry that man.
"Go for it, take this woman who swings both ways away, and stop letting her torture us." The yellow-haired Jian shook her head.
Compared to the ease of these few, Bai Binger and her group had grave expressions.
They knew that if Xu Jingzhe were defeated, they wouldn't even have a chance to escape.
Xu Jingzhe pressed his advantage, attacking continuously. Old Arts martial arts were rare, and since this one was given by the Qin Family, its power went without saying. Coupled with his vigorous blood and energy, the two complemented each other, leaving Avril with only the power to parry and no power to counter.
Xu Jingzhe executed the Celestial Maiden's Drunken Steps, suddenly appearing in front of Avril again, and struck directly at her towering chest, showing absolutely no chivalry.
"Is this an ability? Such fast movement!" The rest of the group was shocked simultaneously.
"Slap!"
The palm wind was swift, each strike carrying the force of ten thousand jin, with the momentum to uproot mountains and overturn seas.
Avril wanted to retreat and dodge, but she clearly underestimated the peculiarity of the Celestial Maiden's Drunken Steps and was heavily struck by Xu Jingzhe, flying dozens of meters horizontally and smashing through several large rocks.
Xu Jingzhe pressed his lips together and charged forward again; even if their physical strength was similar, so what? By executing the martial arts, he could still suppress Avril.
"Ah!" Just then, Zheng Peng let out a miserable scream, clutching his chest as he flew backward, spitting out a large mouthful of blood.
Yang Shuang's eyes turned red, and he proactively attacked the person who had struck.
Damn it!
This woman had no martial ethics, launching a sneak attack, especially when her strength was not weaker than theirs!
Hearing Zheng Peng's scream, Xu Jingzhe had to abandon Avril and rush over.
His speed reached its limit, becoming as fast as a streak of light.
Avril stood up, clutching her chest, looking displeased; she was in the middle of a good time and hated being interrupted the most.
The one who had attacked was Jian, one of the remaining three. It was mainly because she had caught a glimpse of the mocking smile on Zheng Peng's lips when Avril was knocked flying. Thus, she couldn't help but strike.
If Zheng Peng knew that was the reason, he would probably spit out three more mouthfuls of blood.
Xu Jingzhe arrived on the scene, executing his martial arts, utilizing both his golden pollution core and the energy stored within his body simultaneously; every strike was earth-shattering.
"You take them and go!" Xu Jingzhe pushed Yang Shuang out of the battlefield, roaring at him, while his Celestial Maiden's Drunken Steps footwork, mysterious and strange, allowed him to attack all three simultaneously.
Fighting three alone, he dragged all three into the fray.
"No way! How can you hold off all five of them by yourself? There's also a sniper in the dark!" Yang Shuang, full of vigor, attacked again.
A fierce look from Xu Jingzhe made him pause; it was the first time he had seen such a terrifying look from Xu Jingzhe.
"If I die, you have a chance to leave."
"If we all stay here, no one will be able to leave!"
Zheng Peng looked hesitant, but after struggling for a moment, he carried Qin Shuang on his back and left.
"Bai Binger, you defend against the sniper opposite." Yang Shuang nodded heavily at Xu Jingzhe, then turned and left as well.
"Cackle, cackle~ Want to leave? Can you?" Jian's laughter was melodious, yet sarcastic. Abandoning Xu Jingzhe, she attacked Yang Shuang.
There had never been anyone who could escape from the Eve Five Princesses.
Xu Jingzhe's golden pollution core was nearly burning, his speed reaching 250 meters per second, instantly blocking Jian's path.
At the same time, he swung his right hand, striking directly at her face with a palm. The force was so great that Jian was forced back seven or eight meters.
Xu Jingzhe's speed was unbelievably fast, leaving behind phantom images in his wake as he struck continuously, entangling all three.
For a moment, the three were truly held back by him.
"That's enough!" Jian shouted delicately, holding back a surge of anger in her heart; what era was this? There were still people who wanted to dominate the battlefield with their physical bodies—it was simply delusional.
Abilities and technology were the path of the future! No matter how formidable a physical body was, a single cannonball or a beam of laser could still finish it off.
In her eyes, which were like pear blossoms, the murderous intent was ice-cold, and a bolt of lightning descended from the sky, striking toward Xu Jingzhe.
