61: Mysterious ultra-modern buildings
Chapter 61: The Mysterious, Ultra-Modern Architectural Complex
This tall building was untouchable, so Xu Jingzhe gave up on it.
With his current abilities and knowledge, he simply couldn't comprehend it.
Naked, with his well-proportioned and muscular body, Xu Jingzhe walked towards another tall building. He stopped about five meters from the building, maintaining that distance between himself and the structure.
This tall building had a peculiar, wavy design, layered one on top of another. From the very first floor, it was planted with various rare flowers, plants, and trees, many of which Xu Jingzhe had never seen before and couldn't even name.
A significant number of the trees had already borne fruit; the fruits were large and red, like rubies, with an enticing aroma.
Xu Jingzhe involuntarily swallowed. With a pollution core condensed in his body, he no longer had to eat acorns.
Roast meat, grilled fish, hotpot, beer, cola... he could eat anything.
Except... excrement!
After many attempts, Xu Jingzhe gave up. He could see them but couldn't touch them; no method worked.
He suspected that these buildings were either in a different space or had already transcended three-dimensional space.
One-dimensional space is a point, two-dimensional is a plane, three-dimensional is the space humans live in, and as for four-dimensional... perhaps only a god could explain it.
He reluctantly turned to leave, and the moment he turned his head, he froze.
He almost wondered if he had seen wrong.
Beneath a giant leaf, there was a palm-sized intaglio carving, the pattern of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
It was incredibly lifelike, even the patterns on its skin were clearly visible, as if it could break through the wall at any moment.
A Tyrannosaurus Rex intaglio on a building where gods resided—Xu Jingzhe's worldview was once again shattered, his scalp tingling.
What the hell!
He took a few deep breaths and strode towards the next building. After careful searching, he found another Tyrannosaurus Rex intaglio.
The third building, the fourth building... all were the same.
Since the pattern wasn't a coincidence, it was conveying some kind of message.
Could these buildings have been built by... dinosaurs? Was the Tyrannosaurus Rex their... king? So... they carved the image of the Tyrannosaurus Rex on the walls.
It's just... this is like the mother of absurdity opening the door for absurdity—it's utterly absurd!
Xu Jingzhe couldn't imagine tens of thousands of dinosaurs... how the hell would they build this?
Would they just scoop up materials with their tails and fling them? And then the building would be finished? Each of these buildings must be tens of thousands of meters tall.
Suddenly, he had another bold conjecture: could the dragon of the Chinese zodiac... be a dinosaur?
Rather than the legendary dragon that rode clouds and brought rain?
Dinosaurs were unimaginably powerful, a god worshipped by 'gods'; humans worshipped the strong, so each building was carved with a Tyrannosaurus Rex to show respect.
But, but.
No matter how powerful dinosaurs were, could they be as powerful as a 'True Dragon'?
If humans worshipped the strong, then they should have carved the 'True Dragon' on the walls to express their inner respect!
Xu Jingzhe kept scratching his head, dandruff falling like snow, still completely perplexed.
As he pondered, Xu Jingzhe slapped his head.
Damn it!
Shouldn't he be thinking about how to leave this place?
Wang Ning and the others were still waiting for him!
Xu Jingzhe looked back; opposite the super-modern architectural complex was a primeval forest, with towering trees hundreds of meters high, their branches and leaves lush, giving a sense of profound weight.
He walked forward. Despite the seemingly close distance, ten minutes later, he still hadn't entered the forest.
Half an hour later, he was still just as far away.
An hour later... Xu Jingzhe understood. He couldn't reach anything his eyes could see.
He couldn't enter this primeval forest either.
In this space, the only thing he could touch was this circular swimming pool; it was truly real.
He leaned against the edge of the pool, looked up at the sky, which was as blue as the sea, with white clouds drifting by, and fell into deep thought.
Xu Jingzhe remained motionless until evening.
The sunset was blood-red, with ribbons of color floating across the sky, various hues intertwining to form an exquisite oil painting.
“Sigh...”
He let out a long sigh, frowned, stood up, crossed his arms over his chest, and walked around the pool in circles.
He walked hundreds of circles clockwise, then hundreds more counter-clockwise.
Still... no result.
The sun in the west slowly set, and the moon in the east slowly rose.
When both reached their respective halfway points, a 'click' sound came from the pool. The bottom split in two, slowly retracting to both sides, revealing a dark, black hole.
Xu Jingzhe shivered, then lay at the mouth of the hole, peering inside.
He could only see endless darkness.
“Is this the exit?” he mumbled.
However, he didn't dare to jump down. This place was too mysterious, and he didn't know what would happen if he jumped.
Time was passing; the moon was about to occupy the entire sky, and only a last sliver of the sun remained, reluctantly clinging to this world.
Finally, the sun completely disappeared.
“Click!”
“Click!”
The stones at the bottom of the pool reappeared, and the opening began to shrink.
Xu Jingzhe took a deep breath. He knew that if he didn't jump now, he would have to wait another day.
He gritted his teeth, closed his eyes, and with a 'whoosh', jumped down naked.
A feeling of weightlessness followed, and the sound of wind whistled past his ears.
After an unknown period of time.
“Splash!”
Splashing a large amount of water and ripples, Xu Jingzhe poked half his head out of the river and swam to shore.
A bright moon hung in the sky, which was a deep blue. The air had a distinct grainy feel and a pungent smell.
He was... back?
Before he could even think, he heard voices and quickly concealed himself.
“Chase, she's not far ahead!”
“That Little girl is really pretty, and her breasts are big. Once we catch her, we brothers will have some fun, then send her to Musileke City.”
Xu Jingzhe's heart stirred, and he quietly followed... The Little Loli limped, her long hair matted together with dried blood, strand by strand, covered in dust and broken leaves. Her Little Loli dress was already tattered beyond recognition, especially her back, which had a considerably large hole.
Large patches of fair skin were exposed, with terrifying wounds that were still bleeding profusely.
She was too severely injured; who knew how many bones were broken.
Broken bones pierced through her flesh, exposed to the outside, bloody and horrifying.
In a moment of carelessness, she tripped over a protruding rock and fell to the ground. This was like the last straw that broke the camel's back.
Moving her arms, which were covered in wounds of all sizes, the Little Loli could no longer get up, having used the last shred of strength in her body.
Her eyes were filled with despair, tears streamed down her face, and she made whimpering sounds.
“Hehehe...”
“Run, little beauty, why aren't you running anymore?”
“Hahaha... this face, this figure, top-notch.”
“Brothers, let's stop talking. Business first. I'm taking off my pants now.”
“Rip!” The already tattered Little Loli dress tore easily, large pieces of fabric falling off.
The alluring sight was hard to conceal.
“Gulp...” The men swallowed, the alluring sight was too wonderful.
“I'll go first!”
“No, I will!”
“Me first, I'll scout the way for you guys first!”
The three argued, each wanting to be the first to explore the 'Peach Blossom Spring'.
The Little Loli closed her eyes, her heart dead, awaiting the judgment of fate.
However, just then, a strange yet familiar voice reached her ears.
“Brothers, can you let me go first?”
