43: Because of love

A few minutes later, Liu Tingting was trembling all over.

She had never dated a man; she had only been intimate with her wife.

She never imagined that kissing Wu Fan would elicit such intense feelings.

Could it be that the reason she hadn't liked men before was simply because she hadn't found the right one?

Perhaps she wasn't a pure lesbian after all; she still felt attraction toward men.

Liu Tingting's breathing was ragged, her cheeks flushed, and she completely forgot she was still inside the haunted house.

After kissing for about four or five minutes, Wu Fan pulled away, "Tingting, should we walk out of the haunted house first?"

Liu Tingting licked the corner of her lips and said somewhat playfully, "Carry me out."

She tightened her grip around Wu Fan's neck and kissed his cheek.

Wu Fan patted her again and said, "No problem. If you want me to, I can carry you all the way to the bar."

Liu Tingting smiled shyly, "Wu Fan, you're so strong! You have such boyfriend power."

She now genuinely felt that Wu Fan was excellent; she felt a different kind of heartbeat.

She had never experienced this wonderful feeling when she was with her wife before.

A man's broad shoulders and unique scent were truly different.

Her resolve was completely shaken at this moment; perhaps being with Wu Fan would make her happier than being with her wife.

For the rest of the time, Wu Fan carried her the entire way.

Whether they saw a ghost dressed in white or a bloody head dropped down during thunder and lightning, Liu Tingting no longer felt afraid. Tucked securely in Wu Fan's arms, she felt especially safe and grounded.

This was a feeling she had never experienced before.

When they exited the haunted house, Liu Tingting clung to Wu Fan, unwilling to let go, gazing at him with eyes full of shyness.

Wu Fan gently stroked her face and said softly, "You are so beautiful."

Liu Tingting gave a sweet smile, and her red lips actively pressed against his.

It was another wave of deep kissing lasting over five minutes.

Only when Wu Fan carried her into the passenger seat did she reluctantly release her embrace.

Wu Fan leaned in and kissed her cheek: "We need to go to the bar now; it's almost opening time."

Liu Tingting murmured "Mhm" and smiled slightly.

The two of them walked into the One Foot Sea Bar, one after the other.

[Ding, congratulations, host. You have received a random gift of 30,000 yuan. Current account balance: 275,000 yuan.]

Wu Fan glanced at the system panel and suddenly felt that monetary rewards were the most useless; skill books were what mattered.

Money could be earned through effort, but skill books could only be provided by the System.

He had just realized this. He used to complain about the beginner skill books, but looking back now, he felt quite foolish.

Dai Mao stood up in surprise, ran over to Wu Fan, and quietly asked, "Brother Fan, something's wrong. Liu Tingting looks different today, doesn't she? Did something happen between you two?"

Wu Fan looked at his sneaky face and was somewhat curious. Was this rat-eyed guy that sharp?

"Dai Mao, why are you being so paranoid? What's different about her?"

"Look, Liu Tingting's cheeks are slightly flushed today, and she was smiling when she came in. She has a delicate, feminine look, which is completely different from her previous cold face."

Holy cow, Dai Mao is amazing! He's practically Zhuge Liang reincarnated, able to divine the future.

Wu Fan thought this to himself, but he said aloud, "Dai Mao, why aren't you watching the music store? What are you doing running over here? You're suffering from delusions and wild guesses."

Dai Mao persisted, asking, "Did you really not do anything to Liu Tingting?"

Wu Fan raised his hand and knocked Dai Mao hard on the head: "What did you want me to do? You're sick."

Dai Mao rubbed his forehead and said miserably, "Brother Fan, hit me lighter next time! That hurt like hell."

Fei Wei burst out laughing, "Dai Mao, did you provoke him again?"

Dai Mao sighed and went to sit in the corner to smoke. However, his gaze was fixed on Liu Tingting on the stage, unmoving.

He might really like Liu Tingting.

Grass Chicken seems to have no interest in women. For so many years, no one has ever seen him interact with a woman.

Wu Fan once suspected that he had physical issues—perhaps he couldn't get it up in that regard.

But what the exact situation was, he didn't know.

Wu Fan pulled up a chair and sat next to Dai Mao, reminding him, "Stop staring. Liu Tingting is a woman you'll never get in this lifetime, so what's the point?"

Dai Mao exhaled a puff of smoke and said, "She's too beautiful. She has an indescribable charm, you know?"

Wu Fan shook his head.

Dai Mao leaned closer and said, "She has a unique aura, different from ordinary women. Anyway, she holds a huge attraction for me."

Wu Fan chuckled, poured himself a glass of wine, and drank it in one gulp.

Liu Tingting was indeed beautiful at this moment, possessing a sort of androgynous or cold, alluring beauty.

She seemed sacred and untouchable.

She put down her guitar, picked up the microphone, and glanced toward Wu Fan's direction, "Next up, I'll be singing 'Love Has Arrived.' I hope everyone enjoys it."

The audience instantly erupted in thunderous applause.

Wu Fan turned his head and saw that the place had become packed full without him noticing.

He never expected Liu Tingting to be such a good dancer. As soon as the music started, she launched into beautiful dance steps, followed by her lovely singing:

Never expected, so wonderful

In a single glance, the cells feel subtle changes

You, not good, a bit low-key

Yet you pinpointed the pressure point of my arrogance

Stirring up my heartbeat, wanting to draw near

This is completely beyond my expectations

Could it be that love has arrived?

Why am I no longer proud?

Every time I see you smile

I always forget to think

Could it be that love has arrived?

Why does my heart always race?

... She swayed her body slightly, charmingly, like a willow branch bending in the breeze.

Wu Fan felt his blood pressure rise slightly, so he shifted his gaze and asked Grass Chicken, "Your brother with the azure dragon tattoo on his arm, why haven't I seen him around lately?"

When Wu Fan first got divorced, he spent almost every night hanging out at the bar.

He knew Grass Chicken had this good brother, who seemed to be involved in the underworld and was so close to him that they could share a pair of pants.

It was said that they even shared a blanket when they slept at night; in short, their relationship was extremely close.

Grass Chicken was stunned for a moment before saying, "We broke up."

Wu Fan didn't immediately react, "Huh?"

Dai Mao added, "Brother Fan, have you been living under a rock? Grass Chicken said they broke up."

Wu Fan blinked, finally understanding.

No wonder Grass Chicken hadn't been interested in women for so many years.

Wu Fan stopped talking, lit a cigarette, and took a deep drag.

He truly couldn't understand a situation like Grass Chicken's.

Women are so interesting—they feel good to touch, and their moans are soft and sweet. Why would anyone dislike women?

After finishing her song, Liu Tingting actually ran over to Wu Fan, grabbed his hand, and said, "Do you know how to sing 'Because of Love'? Let's go up and sing a duet."

Wu Fan did know how to sing it, but Liu Tingting's unusual behavior caught him off guard for a moment.

Seeing Wu Fan frozen in surprise, Dai Mao volunteered, "Tingting, I know how to sing it! How about I sing with you?"

Liu Tingting glared at him, "Get lost. This doesn't concern you."
