143: Snow boots arrived!
Chen Kai nodded immediately and took her hand as they walked into the ticket gate.
After passing through the turnstile smoothly, they collected a numbered tag next to the ticket gate.
As soon as they entered the indoor area, a vast expanse of lockers came into view.
Each locker corresponded to a different number. Next to the lockers was a row of Counters about ten meters long, and at each Counter stood a staff member who looked like a Bank employee.
They were responsible for exchanging the numbered tags for Snow Boots and thick cotton-padded jackets.
This was to prevent anyone from abandoning their own shoes and running off wearing just the cotton-padded jacket and Snow Boots.
Behind each Counter was a wall of shoes, with the size of each pair marked.
Chen Kai's gaze quickly swept over several Counters. At the outermost one—the Counter with the longest queue—he saw a pair of Snow Boots emitting a faint glow!
He was immediately excited, but soon, when he saw the size of the shoes, reality slapped him in the face.

He saw the woman at the front of the Counter pointing at a pair of Snow Boots on the shoe rack, nodding with some disappointment.
"Alright, I really wanted the Snow Boots with the sticker pattern. I'll just pick another pair then."
The woman at the front of the line said disappointedly, and casually pointed to another pair of shoes.
When Chen Kai saw this, his mood went on a rollercoaster ride.
"That was close... that was close."
He muttered to himself. The shoes the woman had just pointed to were the ones next to the glowing Snow Boots, not the ones he was planning to Score a Bargain on.
"What's wrong, little brother? Why are you so nervous?"
Liu Yunshang looked up at him, puzzled, her eyes filled with curiosity.
Chen Kai looked around. He secretly leaned into Liu Yunshang's ear and muttered in a very low voice.
"Hehe... It seems we are about to Score a Bargain again. I saw something that looked like a lost item inside one of the pairs of shoes. Just now, the sunlight hit those shoes and it flashed in my eyes."
"Ah?! Really?"
Liu Yunshang also whispered. The usually aloof and icy CEO looked around sneakily, looking very suspicious.
The scene was extremely incongruous, yet contained a hint of cuteness.
"Yeah, I'm not sure yet, I only caught a glimpse. I plan to take that pair of shoes down and take a look later."
Chen Kai muttered softly. Before he knew it, there were only two people left in line ahead of them.
"Okay... Or you can point them out to me, and I'll ask for them."
