173: Selling the last piece of jade!

After waiting less than half an hour, the rumbling sound of a refrigerated truck came from afar.

Chen Kai looked up and saw a metal-bodied box truck slowly driving towards him; Zhou Lei had already poked his head out of the passenger side window, waving at Chen Kai with a cheerful smile.

As soon as the box truck stopped, before it had even fully settled, Zhou Lei couldn't wait; he opened the passenger door, stepped on the step, ran a few quick steps, and jumped off the vehicle.

"Manager Chen!! I'm not late, am I!"

"No, you're just in time."

Chen Kai said with a chuckle, shaking hands with Zhou Lei.

Zhou Lei also laughed heartily, "That's good, that's good. I was just afraid of delaying your important business, Manager Chen!"

"Then let's have the truck back inside! It'll be easier to unload. Manager Chen, do you need me to help watch them unload and load the goods?"

Zhou Lei asked enthusiastically, his face full of excitement.

If he could serve Chen Kai well, wouldn't he be the one to go to for all future orders? This was the big order he wanted!

After saying this, Zhou Lei directed the truck to back into the Cold Storage, aligned the rear of the truck with the entrance, and had the three female workers move the goods down one by one.

Chen Kai thought about it for a moment and felt it wasn't a bad idea.

He couldn't trust the female workers, but he could trust Zhou Lei; if the quantity of ginseng was wrong when he went to sell it, he could hold him accountable.

He wasn't doing one-off business, and since he had always shown a desire for long-term cooperation, he might as well entrust the job of loading the ginseng to him.

There was really quite a lot to do today, he was busier than usual; not only did he need to Score a Bargain, but he also had to sell off all the jade within the second-to-last day before jade from Myanmar re-entered the country.

Having had no goods for seven days, these Little foreigner must be starving; the moment the goods could come in, they would surely sell as much as they could.

The market economy would be overwhelmed in an instant! The price of all jade would plummet.

He had to sell the last remaining piece of violet jade within today.

Otherwise, it would definitely be stuck in his hands.

Once he sold the violet Old Pakan jade today, the money he earned would be enough to upgrade to the advanced system!

He just didn't know what kind of Advanced Intelligence the advanced system would provide on a daily basis.

He was already starting to look forward to the days of having Advanced Intelligence from the advanced system every day.

"Alright then, I'll trouble you to watch the workers load and arrange the goods. I'll check the quality of the ginseng, and once I'm sure there are no issues, I'll transfer the money to you."

Zhou Lei nodded with a smile, his face full of excitement.

"No rush, no rush. Please, go ahead and spot-check the goods, feel free to check them. I checked them one by one yesterday, and if I found even one that was unqualified, I took it out."

"If you find even one that isn't the right size, I'll refund you one hundred times the amount immediately!"

Zhou Lei looked entirely sincere; he really didn't want to mess up this deal.

Chen Kai nodded. That might be what he said, but for the sake of caution, it was better to check.

After the workers moved the boxes of ginseng off the truck, he randomly spot-checked five roots and found that the size and dimensions were all qualified.

Besides, most unscrupulous merchants packed rotten goods at the bottom of the boxes.

Chen Kai specifically spot-checked the ginseng at the bottom of several boxes that had been pressed down, and as it turned out, none of them were bad, not even one with a broken root.

Chen Kai nodded with satisfaction, "Not bad, the quality is indeed quite good."

"I'm transferring the final payment to you now."

He took out his phone and transferred 140,000 to Zhou Lei's account, and then transferred another 540 separately.

"If the three of them finish in the morning, give them 180 each; if they don't finish, give them 150. I'll trouble you with this, Manager Zhou."

Zhou Lei immediately put on an expression of dissatisfaction, but then quickly revealed a flattering smile.

"Manager Chen! Saying that is too distant! We're close, why are you being so polite?"

"If I went back, I'd just be scrolling on TikTok or playing games. Watching the warehouse for you actually gave me something to do; otherwise, I'd be sitting around all day until I got sick."

"I should be thanking you, Manager Chen, hahaha."

Zhou Lei laughed heartily and righteously told Chen Kai to go do whatever he needed to do, assuring him that he could leave things here with peace of mind; if he didn't watch it well and ginseng went missing, he would replace it.

Hearing this, Chen Kai felt at ease. If he had to replace any missing goods, considering he hadn't made much profit on this order to begin with, he might actually lose money if he had to make up for it.

A normal person wouldn't do that; there was no benefit in it.

Even if he wanted long-term cooperation, he should just slip him some money directly, rather than building an image of being unreliable.

Chen Kai smiled faintly, handed him the key to the Cold Storage, and then slowly walked outside, got into his mercedes-benz gle, and headed toward the entrance of the residential complex indicated by the system.

...

In less than an hour, Chen Kai parked the car at the entrance.

After getting out of the car, he found a spot on a bench at the entrance of the complex and sat down. It was still early; there was at least another hour before the copper coin inside the iPad case he needed to Score a Bargain would be thrown into the trash can.

"Hmm... should I go sell the jade first? I'm just idling anyway."

Chen Kai muttered to himself. The system indicated that he could just come to Score a Bargain before twelve o'clock.

It was only eight o'clock now, so there was at least an hour or two left.

He might as well use this time to go sell the jade.

It would save him from having to make another trip in the middle of the day.

Chen Kai thought about it for a moment, decided it was feasible, immediately got up, got into the car, and headed towards the Rental House.

In less than half an hour, he parked the car downstairs at the Rental House, hurried upstairs to grab the violet jade, and rushed back downstairs to drive toward Jade Street.

This was the last day for a money-making opportunity; once the money was in hand, he would be promoted to the Advanced Intelligence System!

The more Chen Kai thought about it, the more excited he became, rubbing his hands in anticipation.

...

Half an hour later, he parked the car at Jade Street. After getting out, he hurried toward the Jade Market, wanting to see what the market situation for Old Pakan was today.

He always felt that the prices offered by this group of insane street vendors would only get more expensive day by day.

But surely no one was buying; to maintain such high prices, they would need a shortage of at least a month or so.

Only after consumers accepted the high price of Old Pakan would they be able to sell them sporadically.

Furthermore, these few vendors seemed to have colluded; they all tacitly agreed not to sell for even a penny less, completely unafraid that a competitor might lower their price slightly and get more business than them.

Chen Kai entered the Jade Market and took a quick look around, finding that it was indeed just as he had expected.

They had all raised their prices, and the prices were becoming more outrageous by the day.

Items that were originally 30,000 were now being sold for 100,000, and those that were 100,000 were now being marked at 800,000.

This wasn't just empty asking prices like the Little foreigner who waited for you to haggle.

They really wanted to sell at these prices!! It was just a bit absurd!

Chen Kai walked around a circle, and with a plan in mind, he knew he could sell it today.
