183: Chapter 183 Yun Canghai's Anger

Ah—!!

My treasures! My Spirit Stones! My Talismans! All gone! Which accursed thief! They’ve practically stripped Fat Master of his underwear!

He realized that his most cherished Storage Ring was gone!

The high-grade Talismans stuffed in his chest were gone! The small Storage Pouch in his secret waist pocket was also gone!

Even the Swiftwind Boots he’d spent a fortune on, which could increase his speed, had been stripped from his feet!

“It’s over… it’s all over…”

Wang Xiaopang’s heart instantly turned to ashes, feeling that life had lost all its color, more despairing than this dark mountain belly.

“Fat Master, I worked so hard, lived frugally, cheated and swindled… bah, I mean, accumulated all my wealth through countless hardships! Just like that, it’s gone! Gone!”

He pounded his chest and stomped his feet in pain, though, because he was stuck, he could only symbolically wiggle his body, looking more like a fat worm struggling in the mud.

“Damn you, heartless thief! Don’t let Fat Master find out who you are! Otherwise… otherwise…”

He fiercely tried to utter some threats, but then, remembering the opponent’s terrifying strength, he instantly deflated, leaving only boundless grief and grievance.

“Otherwise, Fat Master will draw a circle and curse you!!”

After the sadness, the desire to survive once again took over. He endured the excruciating pain of losing everything and began to calmly analyze the situation:

“First, Fat Master is not dead, which is a blessing in disguise.”

“Second, the guy who ambushed me didn’t kill me; he just robbed me and buried me… Hmm? Buried me?”

Only then did Wang Xiaopang belatedly realize his predicament.

“Why bury me? Wouldn’t destroying the body be cleaner? Could it be… they were afraid I’d look too ugly exposed in the wilderness? Bah! What kind of expert would have such leisure time!”

He was baffled. But no matter what, being buried deep underground and unable to move was his biggest crisis right now.

He tried again to circulate his spiritual energy, wanting to shake off the surrounding mud and rocks, but found that the surrounding rock layers were exceptionally solid, and a powerful Restriction force was subtly locking them down. With his Purple Mansion Realm cultivation, he couldn’t even budge them.

“It’s over… I’m really a living buried zongzi now…”

Wang Xiaopang was on the verge of tears, “Damn you, old heavens! Are you playing with me! You stole my money, and now you want my life?!”

As he was despairingly letting his thoughts run wild, a thought flashed across his mind like lightning!

“Wait! Fat Master, I think… I think I still have a trick up my sleeve!”

He endured the excruciating pain and discomfort of being stuck, using all his strength, twisting his body, and with extreme difficulty, slowly, inch by inch, moved his right hand, which was barely able to move a little, towards his… crotch… This action made him grimace in pain, cold sweat streaming down.

After immense effort, his fingers finally fumbled upon a very hidden inner pocket in his close-fitting underwear, sewn with a special technique.

A surge of joy filled his heart. He carefully used his fingernail to pry open the fine stitching and pulled out an ordinary-looking, inconspicuous gray Storage Ring from inside.

“Phew—!”

Wang Xiaopang let out a long, silent sigh of relief, so excited he almost cried.

“Luckily! Luckily, this young master is clever enough to keep this last trick! There are still some things in here, which are Fat Master’s capital to turn things around!”

Even an experienced and thorough scavenger like Shi Wanshan would never have imagined that someone would hide a Storage Ring in such an inconceivable place.

Clutching this life-saving ring tightly, Wang Xiaopang seemed to see a glimmer of light in the endless darkness.

Although the pain of losing everything was still intense, this remaining hope rekindled his fighting spirit.

“Damn you, heartless thief! Once this young master gets out, he’ll still be a true hero!”

He thought fiercely, as if doing so could alleviate some of the pain caused by his losses.

However, the harsh reality immediately pulled him back. Even with this last Treasure Trove, getting out of his current predicament was the key.

Just as he was rethinking his strategy, faint vibrations and noisy human voices vaguely reached him from above.

“Hmm? Someone up there?”

Wang Xiaopang’s small eyes immediately lit up again. He gripped the ring tightly in his palm, concentrating fully on listening to the movements outside.

Wang Xiaopang immediately held his breath, pressing his ear tightly against the cold rock wall, wishing he could suppress his heartbeat to the lowest possible level. Although the sounds from above were muffled, in this deathly dark silence, they were as clear as thunder.

He first heard a few stern reprimands, carrying undeniable authority:

“Search carefully! Don’t miss any corner! That thief must still be here!”

“Yes, Elder!” Several respectful replies sounded, accompanied by spiritual energy fluctuations and the sound of moving rocks.

“Elder? Thief?” Wang Xiaopang’s heart sank. “Could it be that those persistent guys from Glazed Holy Land have chased me here? Are they searching for me?!”

This thought scared him almost to the point of Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering. He quickly reined in all his Qi, not daring to even blink, and prayed frantically in his heart: “Don’t see me, don’t hear me… Fat Master is just a lump of dirt, a lump of rock right now…”

But then, another slightly calmer voice, yet equally imbued with powerful pressure, spoke, carrying suppressed anger:

“Fellow Daoist Yu Jizi! Leave a line in all matters! You keep saying the thief is here, but have you found concrete evidence? If there is still no discovery, please stop the search immediately and release my Sect’s Disciples!”

Just as this voice sounded, a brilliant stream of light tore through the sky, carrying vast and majestic King Realm pressure, and descended upon the valley with a roar! It was none other than Yun Canghai, the Head of Myriad Law Pavilion!

Yun Canghai’s figure solidified, his gaze like lightning, sweeping across the entire scene in an instant.

When he saw his Sect’s Elders and Disciples, one by one, tattered, their Qi weak, some even heavily injured and collapsed, and others almost stripped down to their inner garments, as if they had been robbed by bandits.

A surge of uncontrollable fury “whooshed” straight to his head! The Sect’s reputation was dragged through the mud, and his Disciples suffered such great humiliation. How could he, as the Head, not be angry?

“Yu Jizi!”

Yun Canghai’s voice was like cracking ice, filled with towering rage, “Is this how your Glazed Holy Land conducts its affairs? Torturing and coercing my Sect’s Disciples, and even committing such… such humiliating acts?”

Although Glazed Holy Land was powerful, there was only one Elder in the Middle Stage of the King Realm before him, and Yun Canghai felt he could handle it.

Yu Jizi frowned upon hearing this and said coldly, “Head Yun, stop slandering! This Venerable One’s actions are not so despicable! Their current state has nothing to do with this Venerable One!”

Yun Canghai was so angry he laughed instead: “Nothing to do? Besides your Glazed Holy Land people, who else is here? Could it be that they stripped themselves?!”

His gaze swept towards his Disciples, only to see their eyes flickering, their faces showing shame. Some even lowered their heads, muttering softly, “Head… it’s possible… I mean, it’s possible, okay, it really wasn’t the Holy Land’s doing…”
