366: Taiyin Yuanjing

Ji Qingyi restrained her protective moonlight to the absolute limit, her figure moving like a ghost as she wove through the twisted passage.

Relying entirely on that intermittent yet persistent sense of Taiyin that pointed in a single direction, combined with her extraordinary spiritual perception, she anticipated and avoided potential dangers in advance.

"This direction seems to be leading deeper and deeper into the lower levels of the Emperors Tomb."

Ji Qingyi mused to herself.

She could feel the lingering Emperor Might in the surroundings weakening, while another type of chaotic, dilapidated, and destructive fluctuation was intensifying.

She did not know how long she had been traveling, but after passing through the final narrow passage, which was almost blocked by solidified Chaos Qi, the view before her suddenly opened up.

Ji Qingyi stopped, and for the first time, an extremely grave expression appeared on her stunningly beautiful face.

Before her lay an incomparably vast yet fragmented "abyss."

It was as if this space had been viciously torn apart and casually kneaded by an invisible giant hand.

The air was filled with streams of energy of various colors, extremely unstable, emitting fluctuations that made one's Soul tremble—that was the residual power of an Emperor!

Although it had decayed and dispersed over the ages, even a single thread was enough to make figures at the Saint Lord level prepare for a severe battle.

"What is this place?" Ji Qingyi whispered to herself, her cold eyes filled with shock.

"Within the Emperors Tomb, how could there be such a place of ruin and destruction? Looking at these marks, they were definitely not formed naturally, but rather seem more like..."

Her gaze swept over the mirror-smooth cross-sections on the massive rock layers and several spots in the Void Realm that still retained clear shockwave patterns; a startling conjecture surfaced in her mind.

"Could it be that before the Emperor passed away, they engaged in a world-shaking battle here against some terrifying existence?"

Only a collision of power at the same level could cause such a place of "Dao wounds," where the Dao was completely shattered and the effects persisted for so long.

At this moment, that pure and ancient fluctuation of Taiyin power that had attracted her became clearer than ever, as if it were quietly flowing and waiting at the very core of this forbidden land.

The path ahead was a terrifying forbidden land, visible to the naked eye, where even a Saint Lord could perish.

Yet that connection, which resonated with the Origin of her Taiyin Divine Body, had also intensified to the extreme.

Ji Qingyi took a deep breath, suppressing the palpitations in her heart, and her eyes returned to their calm, unruffled state.

Her saintly power flowed slightly around her body, forming a crystalline light shield outside her plain white dress that was as thin as a cicada's wing, yet shimmering with the Dao Rhyme of the Taiyin Origin.

Since she had already reached this place, there was no reason to return empty-handed.

She exercised the utmost caution, pushing her spiritual perception to its limit, and began to attempt to step into this forbidden land, exploring step by step toward the source of the Taiyin power fluctuations.

Within the Abyss of Buried Dao, danger lurked everywhere.

Ji Qingyi walked as if treading on thin ice with every step.

Ji Qingyi raised the spiritual perception of her Taiyin Divine Body to the limit, her figure turning into a blurred moon shadow as she wove through the gaps of destruction, narrowly dodging areas where broken Laws were suddenly collapsing.

The deeper she went, the greater the pressure became.

Just as she was concentrating fully, a wisp of dark golden destructive Dao marks silently swept past her side; wherever it passed, the Void Realm was silently annihilated.

Ji Qingyi felt a chill in her heart and, without further hesitation, gave a clear shout: "western empress pagoda, protect my true form!"

A small, ancient, and exquisite pagoda, carved entirely from divine moon jade, flew out from between her brows, instantly expanding into a three-foot-tall tower that hovered above her head.

The Supreme Emperor Weapon, western empress pagoda, scattered billions of strands of soft yet resilient moonlight, like mercury pouring onto the ground, firmly protecting the three-zhang radius around Ji Qingyi.

The spatial rifts that were constantly forming and vanishing around her were also temporarily smoothed and stabilized by this mighty pressure of the emperor weapon.

The pressure suddenly decreased.

Ji Qingyi breathed a sigh of relief, but her expression remained grave.

Activating a Supreme Emperor Weapon consumed a massive amount of energy; even though she was a Saint Lord, she could not maintain it for long and had to find the source as quickly as possible.

With the western empress pagoda protecting her, her speed increased significantly.

Bypassing a massive hole that was constantly spewing Chaos Qi, the sense of that Taiyin power was now so intense it felt as if it were right before her eyes!

The scene before her made her freeze once again.

Before her, the Dao was chaotic, and the air was filled with solidified Emperor-level killing intent and thick Death Qi.

The stone platforms, the ground, and even the Void Realm itself were branded with countless hideous combat marks and shattered Dao runes, silently recounting the tragic and unimaginable slaughter that had once taken place here.

It was an atmosphere of deathly silence and destruction capable of eroding and corrupting even a Saint's Dao Heart.

Ji Qingyi's gaze was firmly captured by a black stone platform in the center of the abyss.

On the stone platform lay a monstrous Corpse of the Nine Nether Fierce Beast as large as a mountain; it resembled a giant wolf and had nine tails, all of which were broken.

The dark green bone armor covering its body was shattered and covered in fist marks and slash wounds; most fatal of all was a clean, penetrating hole in its skull, the edges of which were smooth and retained a wisp of pure and domineering annihilation Dao Rhyme.

Thick, ink-like, grayish-black Death Qi was continuously pouring out from every wound on this remain of the Nine Nether Fierce Beast.

The Death Qi was imbued with the monstrous resentment and chaotic Evil Qi from the Vicious Beast's life, eroding everything around it and staining the space with decay and mottling.

Even after dying for ages, the ancient ferocity emitted by its remains still felt like a demonic mountain pressing down, causing the western empress pagoda above Ji Qingyi's head to shimmer with light and send out warnings.

However, right at the edge of that fatal wound on the skull, a point of clear radiance shone tenaciously.

A fist-sized tai yin source crystal, round and like liquid moonlight, was embedded between the charred flesh and the bone armor.

The pure and ancient Taiyin power flowed like a clear spring, forming a soft lunar halo that firmly kept the surging Death Qi at bay, three feet away.

The clear radiance and the Evil Qi constantly annihilated each other at the boundary, emitting faint "hissing" sounds, as if it were a silent purification that had lasted for ages.

What shook Ji Qingyi's Soul even more was that, standing calmly beside that Corpse of the Nine Nether Fierce Beast which radiated monstrous ferocity, was a person!

That person seemed completely out of place in this forbidden land filled with Death Qi and destructive Dao, yet he was eerily integrated into it, as if he were meant to be there.

Within three inches of his body, not a speck of dust could touch him; the chaotic Dao and turbid Death Qi actually bypassed him on their own, as if an invisible boundary completely separated him from this forbidden land.

And that calm, indifferent face—Ji Qingyi's pupils suddenly contracted; she had seen it before!

She remembered this face! It was exactly that "Heavenly Human Realm" Loose Cultivator from the outer area earlier, the one to whom she had cast a glance because of a tiny fluctuation in his aura!

The companion who had been by his side was not there at this moment.

He was slightly lowering his head, his gaze fixed on that peerless Vicious Beast.

How could a Heavenly Human Realm Cultivator possibly appear here?!

And so composedly?!

With the western empress pagoda above her head shedding billions of strands of moonlight to protect her, Ji Qingyi stood frozen at the edge of the platform as she watched this scene, her cold heart lake stirred into a monstrous tempest.

She had felt at the time that this person would not be so simple, but she had only assumed he was a King Realm or Saint Realm Cultivator hiding his cultivation.

At the time, she had glanced at him and not paid it any mind!

But now it seemed she was outrageously wrong! And wrong in an extremely absurd way!

King? Saint?

Even a Saint King, no, even an ordinary Great Saint Realm powerhouse, if they did not have a heavy treasure to protect them, would never be able to step into this forbidden land of Dao wounds so easily!

Let alone being like this before her, possessing Invulnerability to All Laws, unstained by dust, and strolling as if in a leisurely courtyard!

I saw the rating reached 8.1 today. Brothers, that is amazing!

I must fulfill my promise and add two more chapters.

However, I haven't written them yet, so I estimate it will be very late before I can update the remaining two chapters.

There is no need for everyone to wait; just read them when you wake up tomorrow morning!
