385: The ultimate imperial weapon that fell from the sky

Tens of thousands of miles away, three streaks of light were piercing through the clouds, speeding towards the Azure Profound Sect.

It was the Second Ancestor, Third Ancestor, and Fourth Ancestor returning from the Emperors Tomb.

Though the three did not speak, a lingering trace of shock remained between their brows, along with an indescribable sense of excitement and lingering fear.

What they had seen and heard during the trip to the Emperors Tomb was truly too shocking and worldly-defying.

The performance of those little monsters from their own family had completely overturned their understanding of the word Prodigy.

"Damn, I've really seen it all this time!"

The Third Ancestor couldn't help but smack his lips, being the first to break the silence, his face still filled with disbelief.

"Girl Xi's finger strike—just thinking about it now makes my scalp tingle!"

"It's more than just a tingling scalp."

The Second Ancestor still had lingering fears.

"That kid Wang Zhan is at the Saint Realm, after all! To be flicked away by just one finger? Like swatting a fly! Who the hell can we even argue with about this?"

While the three were talking, suddenly!

"Whoosh!"

An extremely faint sound of breaking air came from the high clouds at an incredible speed. Even with the spiritual senses of the three Old Ancestors, they only caught a glimpse of an afterimage.

"What is that?!"

The three subconsciously looked up, not even having time to make any defensive or dodging maneuvers.

"Thud!" A muffled sound.

That thing hit the Third Ancestor, who was walking in the middle, right on the forehead without missing a beat!

"Ouch, my goodness!!!" The Third Ancestor screamed in pain, feeling as if his forehead had been slammed by a flying mountain peak, seeing stars before his eyes.

He stumbled, almost falling to the ground. With his Holy Lord Realm physique, he was actually hit so hard it hurt, showing how powerful the force was.

"Which blind bastard is ambushing me?! Get the hell out here!"

The Third Ancestor clutched his forehead, which had instantly swollen into a large bump. Fuming with rage, he jumped and cursed at the sky, spit flying everywhere.

"Come out if you have the guts! What kind of hero hides his head and shows his tail! I..."

Halfway through his cursing, he suddenly felt his foot kick something. He looked down.

It was a palm-sized, dark-gold, small tower-shaped object lying quietly in the dust.

This was the object that had just hit him; it looked dusty and unremarkable.

But its surface was covered in ancient, unrecognizable patterns, and it faintly emitted a heavy and desolate aura that made the Soul tremble, causing the Third Ancestor's cursing to come to an abrupt halt.

"This... this is..." The Third Ancestor's anger was instantly replaced by an indescribable sense of alarm. He subconsciously bent down and carefully picked up the small tower with two fingers!

The moment his fingers touched the small tower, "Buzz—!!!"

An indescribable, majestic will, mixed with a terrifying Emperor Might that suppressed the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands and destroyed eternal Reincarnation.

Like a sleeping prehistoric Vicious Beast suddenly awakening, it burst out from this tiny fragment and then quickly vanished, as if nothing had happened.

Although it was just a glimpse, that was truly the Supreme Emperor Might!

It was the ultimate aura that stood above all Daos, something only a Supreme Divine Weapon forged by a Great Emperor could possess!

"Plop!"

The Third Ancestor, being the closest and bearing the brunt of it, felt his legs go weak and sat firmly on the ground, clutching the small tower tightly in his hand.

His eyes were wider than copper bells, and the expression on his face was completely frozen—from anger to daze, then to an indescribable twisted look of ecstasy, fear, absurdity, and extreme shock.

"Em... Em... Em..."

His lips trembled, and his throat rattled, but he couldn't even finish the words "Emperor Weapon."

Beside him, the Second Ancestor and Fourth Ancestor were also swept by the afterglow of the Emperor Might that had suddenly erupted and then quickly retracted. They felt their Divine Souls shake violently, their blood boil, and their saintly power almost spiral out of control.

They looked in horror at the object in the Third Ancestor's hand, then at the Third Ancestor who was sitting on the ground looking like an idiot.

"Third Brother, you..." The Great Ancestor's voice was dry.

"That thing, that aura just now..." The Second Ancestor's voice was trembling.

The Third Ancestor finally recovered a shred of sanity from his unparalleled shock. He suddenly pulled the small tower tightly into his arms, as if afraid it would fly away, yet also as if he were holding a hot potato.

He looked up at his two brothers with an expression uglier than crying. His voice was hoarse, with a hint of a sob and a dreamlike ecstasy:

"Second Brother, Fourth Brother, we... we..."

He swallowed hard and used all his strength to squeeze out those earth-shattering words from between his teeth:

"We... we seem to have been hit in the head by a Supreme Emperor Weapon!!!"

The mountain wind blew past; there was dead silence.

Three Old Ancestors, whose combined ages reached several thousand years, were frozen on the desolate mountain path like three clay statues—one sitting and two standing.

An Emperor Weapon? Falling from the sky? Hitting someone on the head?

What kind of goddamn luck is this?!

After a full ten seconds, the Second Ancestor suddenly jolted. With unprecedented agility, he lightning-fast set up several Restrictions around them to isolate their aura.

Ecstasy and a sense of absurdity intertwined like fire and ice, striking the minds of the three Old Ancestors.

But for those who could Cultivate to the Holy Lord Realm, which one of them hadn't fought their way through mountains of corpses, seas of blood, and treacherous schemes?

After the initial shock passed, a chill immediately replaced the ecstasy.

"Something's not right!"

The Second Ancestor was the first to calm down. His eyes were as sharp as an eagle's, and his Divine Sense swept out frantically like a tide, not missing a single rustle of grass or leaves.

"An Emperor Weapon falling from the sky? And it's completely intact? This is even more nonsensical than Girl Xi defeating a Saint with one finger! There must be a catch!"

"Exactly!"

The Fourth Ancestor also reacted, his face solemn. He stood back-to-back with the Second Ancestor, his saintly power secretly surging, as he warily scanned the dim night sky and the silent mountain forest below.

"How precious is an Emperor Weapon? Why would it fall from the sky for no reason and hit us right on the head? Could someone be setting a trap?

Trying to use this item to stir up greed and make us kill each other, or tracking this item to find our Azure Profound Sect's mountain gate?"

Holding the tower, the Third Ancestor also jumped up from the ground. He didn't even bother to rub the bump on his forehead, looking around nervously.

"Who?! Who is plotting against me?! Come out if you have the guts!"

The three Old Ancestors acted as if they were facing a formidable enemy, raising their vigilance to the extreme.

With themselves as the center, their Divine Sense repeatedly scanned every inch of space within hundreds of miles, like the finest sieve.

Above and below, deep in the clouds, in the cracks of rocks, and even the flow of the earth's veins—they investigated more than ten times.

Nothing! No aura of an ambush!

No hidden Formation fluctuations! No tracking marks!

They couldn't even find a trace of a stranger's powerful aura that didn't belong here!

It was as if this Emperor Weapon had truly appeared out of thin air and was coincidentally blown down by a strange wind, precisely hitting the Third Ancestor on the head.

"Is there really no one?" The Third Ancestor swallowed, his voice dry.

"Search again!"

The Second Ancestor didn't believe it. He spent a great deal of mental effort, joining forces with the Fourth Ancestor to perform a Secret technique for tracking Karma and investigating illusions.

The result remained the same: an unclaimed object with blurred Karma, as if its connection to this world was extremely thin.
