274: Devouring Leviathan

Su Lei's cold command was issued.

The Golden Legion broke into scattered units, with hundreds of thousands of light units swarming towards the slow-moving Rust Titan like a beehive, targeting its exposed joints, energy pipelines, and optical sensors.

Heavy units provided precise suppressive fire from the rear.

This was an unequal war.

The Rust Titan possessed brute strength but was sluggish and clumsy, while the Golden Legion acted like a special forces unit with perfect coordination, using kiting tactics to gradually wear down the behemoth.

The battle lasted for an hour.

An hour later, the once invincible Rust Titan, riddled with holes, knelt on the wasteland, with over ninety percent of its weapon Systems destroyed.

In the subspace network, Su Lei's Divine Soul body appeared before the Leviathan's weakened collective will.

“The game is over.”

He reached out his hand: “Now, give me everything you have.”

“No, I, am, the, God, here…”

Su Lei gave it no more chances; a terrifying devouring force erupted, completely consuming that last remnant of will, along with all its data and energy.

In the real world, all red lights on the Rust Titan extinguished, and its massive body disintegrated, separating back into millions of mechanical units.

But this time, the dark red glow on them had completely transformed into a golden color, representing absolute submission.

At this point, the entire First Sector, the Mechanical Graveyard, was fully under Su Lei's control.

He opened his eyes.

“Order our new army to clear a path to the Second Sector.”

“We have wasted too much time here.”

The storm subsided.

Millions of once-ferocious mechanical units now stood silently, like the most devout believers.

An iron legion, personally forged by Su Lei, was quietly born.

“Governor Su Lei…”

Dean Li reported excitedly: “We have acquired over 3.7 million usable mechanical bodies, analyzed thousands of weapon technology modules, and even obtained complete blueprints for its central fortress! This is an immeasurable leap for our Federal Fleet!”

“All the technology of the Rust Council now belongs to us,” Su Lei stated calmly.

He issued a series of commands, and the entire Federal Fleet once again operated efficiently, providing energy and technological upgrades to the newly reborn mechanical warriors.

Su Lei walked into the strategy room, with Li Xue凝 silently following behind him.

In the center of the room, a sphere of light composed of countless golden codes emerged from his palm—the primordial code of the Eternal Furnace.

He closed his eyes, and the Soul Core Star deep within his Sea of Consciousness shone brightly, as vast Divine Soul power enveloped the primordial code.

His consciousness entered a bizarre and colorful world.

That primordial code transformed into a grand epic of creation, unfolding deep within his Soul.

It was not a blueprint or a formula, but a fundamental genesis of the Universe, defining existence and destruction.

To obtain it was equivalent to gaining the qualification to become a Creator God.

After a long while, Su Lei opened his eyes.

“How is it?”

“I saw the staircase to the divine throne.”

Su Lei said softly: “But beneath the staircase is an abyss of ten thousand fathoms.”

He looked at Li Xue凝: “Our upcoming war may no longer be simply about combat and destruction. Instead, it will be about creation.”

“We must create a new world, one capable of accommodating our entire civilization, before that formatting program descends.”

Su Lei returned to the bridge; by then, the Gate of Selection leading to the Second Sector had already opened.

“Order our new legion to act as the vanguard and enter the passage.”

Millions of mechanical units, gleaming with golden light, formed neat formations, like a flowing golden river, majestically marching towards the unknown colossal gate.

After the last column of mechanical units had entered, the Federal Fleet slowly started, sailing into that unknown darkness.

The spatial shift lasted only an instant.

What appeared before everyone was a world vastly different from the cold Mechanical Graveyard, a world full of life, yet eerily nauseating.

The Second Sector, Scarlet Swamp.

An endless, viscous swamp, as red as blood, with islands made of twisted flesh and blood, pulsating like hearts, floating upon it.

The air was filled with a sweet, metallic scent mixed with rust and decaying flesh.

The entire world felt like the rotting internal organs of a giant creature.

Piercing alarms sounded simultaneously.

“Warning! High-intensity corrosive environment! Hull armor is being corroded!”

“The atmosphere contains unknown highly active biological spores, which are extremely destructive to carbon-based life and precision electronic components!”

Even worse, the nano-repair armor of the mechanical vanguard, which had just stepped into the swamp, visibly darkened and rusted the moment it made contact with the air and liquid.

Some light units even collapsed weakly, slowly being swallowed by the wriggling flesh-and-blood islands.

The environment itself was constantly weakening their greatest reliance.

“A living Hell, specifically designed to counter mechanical civilizations,” Dean Li's voice was dry.

Su Lei showed no surprise on his face.

“Order all mechanical units to activate internal circulation and stand by.”

“All warships, activate the highest level of biological protective force field.”

He calmly issued the command: “Dean Li, immediately collect samples of the biological spores and corrosive liquid here for analysis. I need you to develop a targeted protective coating in the shortest possible time.”

“Yes! Mission accomplished!”

Dean Li and his team immediately plunged into a frenzy of activity.

Just as the Federal Fleet struggled to gain a foothold in this unfamiliar world, a lazy, seductive, yet Soul-freezing voice, without warning, invaded the minds of all fleet members.

“Oh my, what rare visitors.”

The voice carried a viscous quality, as if it could penetrate to the bone marrow.

“How many years has it been? Have new toys finally delivered themselves to my doorstep? A group of lovely, fresh, carbon-based little snacks.”

As soon as the voice fell, the entire Scarlet Swamp boiled!

The slowly pulsating flesh-and-blood islands' heartbeats suddenly accelerated.

Deep within the swamp, shadows of gigantic creatures rapidly surfaced.

“Welcome to my dining table.”

“I hope you can entertain me a little longer.”

“Before I completely eat you.”

The seductive and greedy voice receded like a tide, but the fear it left behind fermented wildly over the scarlet landscape.

“Alert! Structural abnormalities detected in wuguang no. 2's starboard C-section armor!”

“Alloy molecules are being forcibly reorganized by unknown spores!”

“The armor, it's growing flesh!”

A monitoring officer screamed, a sound not quite human, as he watched the distorted 3D model on the screen.

The flagship's most robust Valkyrie special alloy was now wriggling madly, like blood-colored mud that had come to life.
