51: The medical class is for you.

Pushing open the metal door of the activity room, a wave of boisterous heat rushed over.

The air was mixed with the scent of alcohol and tobacco.

Bars, pool tables, sofas, and even a few strength-testing machines in the corners…

Under the dim yellow light, over a dozen pairs of eyes simultaneously turned to the door.

Some were scrutinizing, some curious, but most held undisguised hostility.

Su Lei calmly walked through the crowd and headed straight for the bar.

“A whiskey, no ice.”

A rough voice came from a seat on the right.

“I heard you finished exploring the Misty Mountains within a month?”

A burly man nearly two meters tall raised his glass. On his bronze-colored arm, several deep, bone-visible scars were still seeping blood.

He bared his teeth, revealing their stark whiteness: “Western Theater Command, Wang Kai, Fourth-Order Martial Master.”

Su Lei took the drink handed to him by the bartender and nodded slightly, “You know me?”

Wang Kai laughed heartily, tilted his head back, and took a large gulp of wine, exhaling with satisfaction.

“Who in the military doesn’t know your name?”

“From a newly promoted Martial Master to Fourth-Order in less than two months, you almost broke Elder Ye’s record…”

He put down his glass, casting a complex gaze.

“To be honest, when I saw your information in the military database, I was stunned.”

A sneer suddenly came from not far away, “What’s the use of rising fast?”

“Who knows how many beast cores and Heaven And Earth Treasures he consumed?”

In a corner, a tall, thin man leaned against the sofa, looking at the bar with disdain.

“This kind of person will never have hope of advancing to Grandmaster in their lifetime.”

“He’s useless.”

A short, stocky man next to him nodded slightly, also expressing agreement.

Su Lei frowned slightly and put down his glass.

Wang Kai lowered his voice and explained, “Those two are from the Southern Theater Command, just like you.”

He pointed to the man who spoke, “The tall one is Zhang Shan, also a Fourth-Order Martial Master.”

“After exploring Areas A and B of the Misty Mountains, he was transferred here. He was among the first batch to arrive.”

He then pointed to the short, stocky man next to Zhang Shan.

“The guy sitting with him is Li Shi, who was previously responsible for the exploration work in the South Lake Great Marsh area.”

“It is said that he once single-handedly hunted a Third-Order Vicious Beast.”

After the introduction, Wang Kai slowly stood up from the bar.

“No matter what, he still finished exploring the entire Misty Mountains within a month.”

“Even though he’s a mercenary, he’s made no small contribution to the military. Is it really appropriate to talk like that?”

“Yeah, and he even received commendations from the military.” Zhang Shan shook his head, letting out a sarcastic chuckle.

“The Misty Mountains? When I was exploring Area A, he probably didn’t even know where he was.”

“If I hadn’t been transferred here, how would it be his turn to show off?”

Seeing that Su Lei did not respond immediately, Zhang Shan leaned lazily on the sofa, the sneer on his lips deepening.

“What? Unconvinced?”

“Newcomer, don’t think that just because you made a name for yourself in the frontier zone, you can swagger around here.”

The short, stocky man named Li Shi also let out a cold laugh at the opportune moment, his knuckles cracking.

“Don’t bring up matters from the frontier zone to embarrass yourself; the difficulty is not on the same level as a Secret Realm.”

“Here, the danger of just the outer forest is equivalent to ten Misty Mountains.”

Zhang Shan saw that Su Lei was still silent, and a hint of triumph flashed in his eyes.

He stood up, stretched his shoulders, and slowly said,

“Let me tell you. In the past month, we have dealt with at least fifteen Vicious Beasts.”

“The weakest among them were Second-Order, and there were quite a few Third-Order. As for Fourth-Order…”

“You probably don’t even know how terrifying a Fourth-Order Vicious Beast is. If Elder Ye hadn’t intervened in time…”

Someone nearby snorted, interrupting him.

“Why are you telling him all this? A guy who climbed up by taking medicine, let alone fighting a Fourth-Order Vicious Beast, he probably hasn’t even seen a Third-Order one.”

Zhang Shan shook his head slightly.

“What’s the use of just having a Realm? If combat isn’t good, you’re still a waste.”

“But you’re also lucky; the Secret Realm exploration has been terminated, and everyone will go home tomorrow.”

“If you had come a few days earlier, you probably would have wet your pants from fear.”

The disdain in his words was undisguised.

The original noise in the activity room suddenly vanished.

Everyone held their breath, looking over, waiting for Su Lei’s reaction.

“Are you done talking?”

Su Lei slowly stood up from the high stool, his gaze surveying the other party.

“You seem quite idle. Care for an exchange?”

Zhang Shan was momentarily stunned, seemingly not expecting such a reply.

After realizing, he clenched his fists, his knuckles cracking, and a glint of excitement flashed in his eyes.

“A spar? Alright. My bones have been itching from idleness these past few days.”

“Kid, let me give you some combat training.”

Su Lei suddenly shook his head, “Wait.”

“What? Chicken out?”

Zhang Shan’s face suddenly darkened, and fierce anger surged in his eyes.

Su Lei tilted his head slightly, his gaze moving past Zhang Shan and falling on the short, stocky man on the sofa.

The man was sitting with his arms crossed and legs crossed, looking over with cold eyes.

Su Lei raised his hand, his index finger pointing directly at him.

“Li Shi, right?”

“If you want to fight… both of you come at me together.”

In an instant, there was an uproar in the activity room.

Zhang Shan and Li Shi couldn’t help but exchange glances.

One had a ferocious smile, the other a cold gaze.

After a moment, Li Shi slowly stood up, stretching his neck, making a grating cracking sound.

Zhang Shan bared his teeth, revealing a chilling smile.

“Interesting…”

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, the two men slowly walked to Su Lei’s front, one on the left and one on the right, forming a pincer attack.

“Fight both of us?”

“If you kneel and admit your mistake now, we might let you off.”

Su Lei’s expression remained unchanged, and he said lightly, “If it’s just a one-sided crushing battle, it can’t be called an exchange.”

“For me, it would just be a waste of time.”

Saying that, he suddenly turned to look at the burly man behind him.

“Wang Kai, please call the medical team to stand by.”

The onlookers were first stunned, then a slight commotion erupted.

Judging by the situation, it seemed he was going to get serious!

Zhang Shan sneered, his eyes revealing fierce intent:

“No need to bother them coming over.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll go easy on you, just enough to let you make it into the medical pod and catch tomorrow’s flight.”

Su Lei looked at him expressionlessly, his tone chillingly calm:

“Don’t misunderstand, I’m calling them for both of you.”

“What did you say?!” Both men’s faces changed drastically, their eyes instantly erupting with fury!

The tension in the air grew thicker.

Just as a fight was about to break out, a piercing alarm suddenly sounded from outside.

“Warning! Abnormal energy fluctuations detected in the Pyramid area! Spatial distortion index has broken through the critical value!”

“All combat personnel immediately proceed to the central plaza for assembly! Repeat, all combat personnel assemble immediately!”
