630: Chapter 630 Two Secretaries!

First, it can disguise one's own aura.

No matter what Cultivation Technique you practice, or what kind of power your body contains, Myriad Manifestation Disguise can perfectly hide it or disguise it as another aura.

For example, Qin Yan has Devilish Qi in his body.

If he doesn't want others to find out, he can use Myriad Manifestation Disguise to hide the Devilish Qi, making it so others can perceive nothing at all.

Alternatively, he can also disguise the Devilish Qi as ordinary True Qi, leading others to mistakenly believe he has only practiced an ordinary Cultivation Technique.

Second, it can change one's own appearance.

Height, body type, facial features, hair color... all external characteristics can be changed at will.

You can turn into another person, or you can become a completely different individual.

Unless the observer's Realm is two major Realms higher than the user's, they cannot see through the disguise.

Two major Realms!

In other words, with Qin Yan's current Sixth Rank Realm, a Seventh-Grade Grandmaster cannot see through his disguise, and an Eighth-Rank Grandmaster cannot see through it either.

Only a Ninth-Grade Venerable, or even higher-level powerhouses, would be able to see through it.

The third secret—Void Guardian.

This is a defensive skill, and an extremely special one at that.

It is divided into two forms: passive and active.

In its passive form, Void Guardian takes effect automatically—however high the intensity of one's Mental Energy is, it can ignore attacks of equal intensity.

This is an absolute defense that consumes no energy, has no cooldown, and is in effect at all times.

In its active form, Void Guardian can burst forth with even greater power—enough to defend against attacks one major Realm higher than one's own!

Of course, such a Heaven-Defying skill cannot come without a price.

Actively deploying Void Guardian carries a considerably long cooldown period.

Unless it is a last resort, it cannot be used lightly.

But even so, the value of this secret technique is already immeasurable.

Finally, there is the fourth secret—Dark Enslavement.

This is an extremely overbearing and dangerous secret technique.

It works by condensing a Dark Servitude Rune and planting it into another's body.

Once the rune is planted, the opponent's life and death are completely controlled by the one who planted it.

Furthermore, it's not just a matter of life and death—the servitude rune will also constantly erode the opponent's spirit and will, causing them to unknowingly sink bit by bit until they eventually obey the planter's orders completely, becoming a Puppet without self-awareness.

This is a secret technique that can force total submission from the depths of the Soul.

Its overbearing nature is chilling.

After Qin Yan finished reading about these four secret techniques, his heart could not remain calm for a long time.

Shadow Clone, Myriad Manifestation Disguise, Void Guardian, and Dark Enslavement—four secret techniques, every one of which could be called shocking and world-shaking, and every one of which was enough to drive countless Martial Artists mad.

“But why are only the two secrets of Shadow Clone and Myriad Manifestation Disguise recorded in this book?”

Qin Yan turned his head to look at Xiao Hei and asked.

“My current Realm is not high enough; many Legacy memories have not been unlocked yet.”

Xiao Hei swayed its branches and transmitted its thoughts to Qin Yan, its voice carrying a hint of helplessness.

“Wait for some time; once my strength reaches the Seventh-Grade Grandmaster Realm, I should be able to inherit the other two secrets.”

Seventh-Grade Grandmaster.

Hearing this, Qin Yan's heart jolted slightly.

Xiao Hei's strength was actually about to touch the threshold of a Grandmaster?

One must know that although Xiao Hei hadn't been born for long, its growth speed had always far exceeded Qin Yan's expectations.

From the initial seed to the current hundred-foot giant tree, only a few short months had passed.

And now, it was actually telling him that it wasn't far from being a Grandmaster.

“Alright then.”

Qin Yan nodded.

Xiao Hei's Legacy memories were sealed deep within its Bloodline and would gradually unlock as its strength improved.

This was a characteristic of Bloodline Legacies; it couldn't be rushed.

Once Xiao Hei broke through to Grandmaster, it would naturally obtain the cultivation methods for the latter two secrets.

“But this Xiao Hei is truly blessed by heaven.”

Qin Yan lamented in his heart.

An endless stream of Darkness Profundity insights allowed its understanding of the rules of heaven and earth to far exceed those of the same rank;

A continuous stream of memory Legacies meant it didn't need to struggle and grope in the dark like other living beings; it only needed to unlock the information in its Bloodline step by step to master countless profound methods;

And now, it even had such Heaven-Defying secret techniques as the Four Secrets of the Heavenly Demon—although only two secrets were currently unlocked, just these two were enough to make countless Martial Artists green with envy.

Regarding Xiao Hei's identity, aside from knowing it was a Nine Nether Spirit-Devouring Demon Tree, Qin Yan knew nothing else.

Where did it come from? Why did its Bloodline contain such a massive amount of Darkness Profundity?

Qin Yan had asked Xiao Hei these questions, but Xiao Hei couldn't explain them clearly himself.

After all, it was just a little baby born less than a year ago.

Regarding this, Qin Yan couldn't be bothered to think about it anymore.

He would take it one step at a time.

When his strength became great enough, nothing would remain a secret.

What he needed to do now was not to obsess over questions that couldn't be answered for the time being, but to seize every minute and second to improve his own strength.

...

Afterward, Qin Yan began to use that vast Darkness Profundity to comprehend the first secret—Shadow Clone.

This was the most core and powerful secret of the Four Secrets of the Heavenly Demon, and also the secret technique Qin Yan most urgently needed to master.

As long as he condensed a Shadow Clone, he would possess a “mental cheat” that would be cultivating at all times.

When the time came, whether it was Mental Energy cultivation or the cultivation of the subsequent secrets, he could leave it to the Clone to complete, while he only needed to sit back and enjoy the results.

Thinking of this, Qin Yan felt a surge of excitement.

He sat cross-legged, closed his eyes, and his Mental Energy slowly sank into the chains condensed from those Darkness Profundities.

The runes on the chains became incomparably clear in his perception; each rune was like a window leading to the depths of the essence of darkness.

Qin Yan's Mental Energy was like threads, wrapping around those runes and feeling the mysteries they contained.

The cultivation method for the Shadow Clone flowed through his mind over and over again; with each cycle, his understanding of this secret technique deepened by a fraction.

He continued to Cultivate until the next morning before finally ending his session.

His Mental Energy withdrew from the dark space, he opened his eyes, and he exhaled a long breath of turbid air.

“As expected of the Four Secrets of the Heavenly Demon, the cultivation difficulty is truly immense.”

Qin Yan sighed slightly.

Even though he had utilized the massive Darkness Profundity within his body and meditated for an entire night, his comprehension of the Shadow Clone was merely a scratch on the surface.

“But it's not a big problem.”

Qin Yan quickly adjusted his mindset.

He believed that as long as he persisted, he would eventually be able to comprehend this secret.

Moreover, once the Shadow Clone was mastered, subsequent matters would be much easier to handle.
