335: Capture the heart

The two chose a relatively private and enclosed room for dinner, which was more comfortable for both of them. Without outside disturbance, their conversation would be relatively freer.

Yang Zi's behavior was very respectful of boundaries, with no inappropriate actions.

Su Yue saw all this and gave her a good score in his heart.

"I didn't expect that after so many years of not seeing each other, our first meeting would be for work. It's quite strange," Yang Zi said, blinking her beautiful apricot eyes at Su Yue.

Yang Zi was a beauty; seemingly outgoing but inwardly reserved, exuding calmness that made people feel no resistance in approaching her.

This was Su Yue's first thought.

"Indeed, you are also the first old classmate I've seen in so many years. It's quite strange," Su Yue replied with equal politeness and courtesy.

Yang Zi smiled faintly.

Yang Zi took a small sip of the jasmine tea in front of her, moistened her lips, and then said, "Actually, I came to thank you today. Thank you for your help."

Su Yue felt confused. He hadn't helped her in any extraordinary way, and he didn't know why Yang Zi would think so. It was utterly baffling.

Yang Zi clearly caught Su Yue's expression and smiled slightly.

"You might have forgotten that time in junior high, but for me, it was quite difficult to get through," Yang Zi recounted.

Su Yue listened quietly, with no intention of interrupting.

"Back then, my family faced great difficulties, to the point where we could barely make ends meet. Some classmates, knowing the situation, would sometimes mock me. After all, it was during puberty, and it brought me quite a blow."

Yang Zi recounted her experience in a low voice.

For teenagers in their second year of middle school, everyone regards their self-esteem as incredibly important. Sudden mockery, of course, leaves a scar on one's heart.

"But at that time, you would change the subject or sternly scold them. These are things I observed firsthand. Among our peers, you seemed very mature, treating classmates with the same respect. At that time, I greatly admired you."

These words were incredibly sincere. Although they lacked flowery language, they were enough to move people.

"To be honest, my memory of these things is a bit fuzzy, but I didn't expect it would have such a big impact on you."

Su Yue had always insisted on doing what he believed was right, and giving those around him this feeling was something he ought to do.

Yang Zi appeared very sincere. If one didn't look closely, her eyes were filled with tears: "Anyway, thank you."

"It's nothing, these were just my instincts. You should also thank yourself; it was your own hard work that led to today's achievements."

After Su Yue's few brief sentences, Yang Zi showed a brilliant smile. It was clear she had taken Su Yue's words to heart and felt a warm current flow through her own heart.

Actually, when Su Yue first invited her for dinner, her heart had fluttered a little, but when facing Su Yue, she always felt a sense of inferiority and didn't dare to accept.

However, after such a long struggle, she had finally let go.

Su Yue was indeed a very good person, in every respect, Yang Zi thought.

The two had a very pleasant chat today. From studies to work, they had many topics between them, and the content they discussed was familiar to both.

Yang Zi had a feeling of respect for Su Yue that surpassed any vague liking in her heart.

Su Yue was clearly unaware of this, and didn't know that his unintentional actions back then would have such a big impact. If the events had happened that way, he would still have done the same.

Yang Zi raised her hand and looked at her watch: "Su Yue, I'm really sorry, I didn't expect our chat to go so late. I've bothered you."

"Not at all, I'm also very happy that we had so many topics to chat about today."

"Alright then, let's meet again next time."

Yang Zi's phone was full of work matters. It was clear she had made time no matter what to thank Su Yue.

After parting ways, Su Yue stood in front of the restaurant entrance and watched Yang Zi get into her car.

It was only then that Su Yue thought, did he lack a car?

He had now achieved a degree of financial freedom. He figured his travel should become more convenient, and he ought to get a car, which would also better suit his status.

This matter was also added to his plan list.

There's no time like the present. Tomorrow was Su Yue's day off, and he planned to do some on-site research and decide as soon as possible.

In the early morning, Su Yue hummed a tune while brushing his teeth. Thinking about having his own ride today, his mood brightened.

Lin Jia, who was under the same roof, also noticed Su Yue's happy appearance and felt curious. She casually asked, "Su Yue, why are you so happy today? Did something good happen?"

"You found out so quickly!" Su Yue expressed surprise.

Lin Jia rolled her eyes, "Your happiness is practically written all over your face."

Su Yue awkwardly rubbed his head: "You'll know when the time comes."

"You're being secretive about this, how boring. Well, I'll wait for your good news then."

Su Yue had risen step by step from the bottom. His quality of life was visibly improving. Although his actions were somewhat low-key, he was completely different from before, both internally and externally.

Although the clothes he wore now were all from major brands, they weren't flashy. The focus was on being low-key, high-end, and tasteful. Unless someone was specifically knowledgeable, they wouldn't notice.

When he arrived at the 4S dealership, a man in a light blue suit walked over. His hair was slicked back and shiny, and he wore black-rimmed glasses, giving him a cultured look, if one ignored his weight of over two hundred pounds.

From Su Yue's perspective on site, the main focus was the experience. Although he could now easily buy ten luxury cars without batting an eye, for the first time, he still wanted a different feeling.

Su Yue looked at the glib man in front of him; he seemed somewhat familiar, but he couldn't place where.

When the male salesperson saw Su Yue arrive, he beamed, practically seeing him as a walking money tree.

"Excuse me, sir, what type of car are you interested in seeing? I can introduce them to you."

Su Yue felt a sense of repulsion from the bottom of his heart, but he didn't say so directly.

"I'll look around myself first, I'll call you later." Su Yue didn't direct his gaze towards the male salesperson.

But this male salesperson was looking Su Yue up and down, which made him feel very uncomfortable.

Generally, salespeople like this would have relevant training. For some unknown reason, this salesperson was acting so unprofessionally.

Although Su Yue didn't focus most of his attention on him, he still felt uncomfortable all over.

The person behind Su Yue spoke faintly: "You're Su Yue, aren't you?"

Su Yue felt that the person might have recognized him from news articles.

Su Yue looked at him, nodded, and didn't say anything.

"I know you, don't you know me now?"

When Su Yue heard the male salesperson say this, he felt very confused. What kind of relationship did they have that he could say such a thing?

Su Yue looked at him carefully, "I'm sorry, I really can't remember. Did we have any interactions before?"

"Heh," the salesperson seemed to change his face, "Su Yue, what are you pretending for? You weren't like this before. Don't try to act like you're rich when you're not."

Su Yue was completely bewildered by his words. He hadn't expected such a malicious person.

"When you talk to me, you need to provide evidence. If you continue to slander me like this, I will have my lawyer handle this matter."

"Lawyer?" The salesperson's tone rose, becoming mocking and sarcastic.

"Don't think that just because you've changed your skin, no one recognizes you. Doesn't everyone know you were that attention-seeking person in junior high?"

Su Yue didn't want to cause trouble, but someone was practically delivering it to his doorstep.

"Heh, then tell me, who exactly are you? Do I know you?"

"I'm Liu Kunpeng, don't you remember me? Hahaha, how ridiculous. If you can't afford a car, don't just browse in the store. You're wasting everyone's time."

Liu Kunpeng's words were sharp and mean, making one want to step forward and beat him up. Obviously, in a lawful society, such an action was not feasible.

Su Yue stopped, turned back, and looked at him, saying, "Do you own this store?"

Liu Kunpeng shook his head.

"Do you have the right to decide what customers buy?"

Liu Kunpeng shook his head again.

"Actually, even if I don't buy anything today, I can still complain about you. Besides, with your current salary, you probably can't afford many complaints." Su Yue kept his words simple, but they could bring endless harm to Liu Kunpeng, and all of it was his own doing.

Liu Kunpeng was a little scared. He felt that the current Su Yue was very different from before. Although his clothes were low-key, the aura he exuded felt somewhat oppressive to him.

His rationality was pulling him back, while his emotions were clamoring to give Su Yue a taste of his own medicine.

Su Yue couldn't understand the colorful inner thoughts he had.

"Is that so? You don't seem to have changed at all from before, still as shameless as ever."

"How dare you curse?" Liu Kunpeng retorted.

"I'm not cursing anyone. Please, certain people, don't assume I'm talking about you."

Liu Kunpeng was one of the people he disliked the most in junior high. These were the people who formed a group and led the bullying of Yang Zi. If it weren't for them, Yang Zi's junior high life would have been smoother.

In his eyes, they were clearly scum now.

"Do you know? I wouldn't even care about the company you belong to now, let alone you." Su Yue was stating a fact.

"Just you?" Liu Kunpeng didn't want to believe it. The person from junior high would still surpass him like before, and it was obvious that Liu Kunpeng had lost again this time.

"I will report this matter to your Manager. Presumably, one complaint should be enough to halve your salary. Well, I can only wish you good luck!"

After Su Yue finished these things, he didn't waste any more words on the person in front of him.

He walked briskly towards the store opposite this one and quickly drove out a Bentley.

Liu Kunpeng stood at the entrance, his jaw about to drop.

Because he knew that even with a loan, one needed a considerable amount of assets to be approved. It seemed Su Yue was indeed quite different from before.

However, Liu Kunpeng was scolded by the Manager, and his bonus was gone again. All of this was his own doing.

The incident that just happened was merely a small interlude for Su Yue. In fact, for choosing a car today, he only needed to select it online, and someone would personally drive it to his home.

What he hadn't expected was that when he wanted to experience going in person today, he was met with mockery from a former junior high classmate. It seemed that even among junior high classmates, everyone's character was different.

Some things, although changing with time, still won't change.

Su Yue drove his new car straight to the bottom of his residential building, looking very impressive.

As he drove into the complex, people were observing along the way. It was normal for people to attract attention in such a familiar, relatively low-priced complex.

Su Yue didn't show too much aversion.

Having added a car, his future movements would become more convenient.

Su Yue sometimes felt someone watching him. When he looked around, he didn't notice any strange looks, but when he looked up, he unexpectedly made eye contact with Liang Yuzhu.

It was clearly unexpected for both of them.

Thinking about the days, Liang Yuzhu's foot should have recovered. Su Yue didn't care about anything else and instead smiled and greeted her.

Su Yue still wanted to be the first to break the ice, so the relationship between the two would become more comfortable.

Liang Yuzhu was still somewhat happy to see Su Yue like this, feeling inexplicably that she had some support in her heart.

After Su Yue returned home, he saw Liang Yuzhu sitting on the sofa watching TV, looking beautiful like a painting, exuding a sense of life.

Liang Yuzhu saw Su Yue come home and said, "Did you buy a car?"

"Yeah, I happened to need one recently, so I just bought it casually," Su Yue said nonchalantly.

"Where's Lin Jia?"

"She's not back yet, probably working overtime," Liang Yuzhu said while eating an orange.

This scene gave Su Yue a feeling of a happy life. He quickly shook his head at the thought.

He couldn't have such beautiful dreams.

"Oh, right, have you heard about Li Cong's company?" Liang Yuzhu initiated the conversation.

"What about it?"

"They are currently suspected of stock transfer. Our company is handling this matter and finds it very strange."

Su Yue stopped pouring water. "There's such a thing."

"I also considered the company's risks, so I'm giving you a heads-up beforehand."

"That's indeed what should be done."
