389: Mission Impossible

In the blink of an eye, two days had passed.

General Manager Su was sitting at Muxin Hotel, waiting for news from Huasheng Hotel. He believed it was impossible for Mu Ruguang to hide those chefs away.

With Mu Ruguang's meager income, supporting that large family of chefs was almost impossible.

However, the news from Huasheng Hotel had not yet arrived, but troubles kept appearing.

Liu Long walked in from the doorway with a panicked expression, standing in front of General Manager Su: "General Manager Su, something terrible has happened."

General Manager Su looked at Liu Long's expression with indifference: "You're the General Manager, can't you show a little backbone?"

Liu Long walked to General Manager Su's computer, opened the surveillance feed for him, and pointed at the people inside: "Take a look."

He initially thought there was news from Huasheng Hotel, but who knew that many people had shown up at their company.

Moreover, the faces of the people in the surveillance footage were quite familiar, clearly their franchisees.

General Manager Su pointed at the surveillance in confusion: "What are they doing here? We've already resolved the issues for them, haven't we?"

Liu Long suppressed his inner anger: "They think we violated the terms, and this time they're specifically here to demand compensation."

According to the agreement in the contract, the headquarters should have arranged chefs to arrive at their respective hotels.

However, three whole days had passed, and the matter of the chefs was like a stone dropped into the sea, without a single ripple.

The branch hotels felt they had missed the best opportunity to make money and were all demanding compensation for their losses.

Although Liu Long didn't mention Yu Qing at all, General Manager Su felt that the entire matter was likely related to Yu Qing.

The franchisees had no reason to ruin Muxin Hotel's golden reputation; otherwise, they themselves wouldn't fare well either.

However, they had already arrived, and General Manager Su had to attribute the entire matter to him.

General Manager Su stood up from his seat, took a deep breath: "Investigate Yu Qing as soon as possible."

Liu Long readily agreed and was about to walk towards the door.

Suddenly, as if he remembered something, he slowly approached General Manager Su: "General Manager Su, what about the people downstairs..."

General Manager Su looked at Liu Long focusing on him and chuckled: "Those people downstairs are not a problem."

Then, he put on the jacket from his chair and strode downstairs.

In just a minute or two, General Manager Su stood in front of these people, his face serious: "What do you mean?"

When they heard General Manager Su's voice, they all came up to him: "General Manager Su, aren't you going too far?"

"Exactly, it was clearly agreed that chefs would be dispatched, and we could make money together. What's going on now?"

Many franchisees were filled with resentment, wishing General Manager Su would compensate them for their losses.

Unfortunately, General Manager Su already had a way to deal with them. He crossed his arms over his chest: "The hotel opening a restaurant is just a trial operation..."

He originally planned to give these people a brief explanation, but who knew they weren't willing to listen at all.

Before he could finish speaking, many people interrupted: "I think you just don't want us to make money, give us our money back."

"Exactly, we paid so much in franchise fees, why are you earning from us?"

The security personnel worried about conflict breaking out and quickly stepped in front of these people.

General Manager Su glanced at the franchisees, crossed his arms over his chest, and sneered: "Please take out your contracts and take a look."

Until now, they were all kept in the dark and didn't understand what General Manager Su meant at all.

In just a few seconds, one of the franchisees took out his contract: "Did you think we really didn't bring our contracts?"

General Manager Su ignored him and sneered: "Muxin Hotel only granted you the right to franchise the hotel."

In other words, without their permission, no one could open a restaurant section.

Even if they had such intentions, they would have to apply for permission before they could potentially set up the catering.

General Manager Su originally didn't intend to pursue so much responsibility, but who knew these people were so insensible.

He gestured to the General Manager at the door: "They should have all signed in when they came here, right?"

The General Manager nodded repeatedly and placed the roster in General Manager Su's hands, indicating that these people had all signed.

General Manager Su didn't stand on ceremony with them, placing the list in front of them: "From now on, these people cannot open catering."

As soon as his order was issued, someone immediately raised a different opinion: "Then we voluntarily withdraw."

General Manager Su saying he wouldn't let them open catering naturally meant he had already considered that they might consider withdrawing from the franchise.

However, the contract also contained a record. He pointed to one of the clauses in the contract: "Take a look at the compensation for withdrawal."

To prevent getting burned, General Manager Su gave the General Manager a look: "Compile a list of those who are withdrawing."

Just as General Manager Su was about to leave, a Manager at the front approached General Manager Su, his face full of regret.

Just from his expression, it was clear that there was someone behind them guiding their actions.

General Manager Su pointed at this Manager: "You come with me to the office, everyone else can think carefully about whether they want to franchise."

In just a few minutes, the two of them returned to the hotel one after the other.

General Manager Su glanced at him and chuckled: "You're relatively smart. Tell me the story behind you."

Franchisees were distributed in various cities; it was almost impossible for them to arrive here at the same time.

Unless someone was stirring up trouble, specifically arranging a time with them for them to come here and cause problems.

The man listened to General Manager Su telling him to be honest and knew immediately that General Manager Su was giving him a final chance.

Having no other choice, he placed a business card on the table: "Yu Qing told us to come. He said there would be a compensation payment."

The branch hotels had already lost a lot of money due to the chef issue. Now, hearing that there was money to be made, how could they not come?

General Manager Su had long suspected that Yu Qing was behind it, but he had no evidence at all.

General Manager Su glanced at the man and shook his head: "You have no concrete evidence. I can't just go and ask Yu Qing, can I?"

If Yu Qing were originally a senior manager in the company, General Manager Su could use his position to bring him in.

But now, Yu Qing had already submitted his resignation, and General Manager Su simply didn't have that authority.

When he heard that General Manager Su needed him to provide information, he seemed to remember something and his face lit up with joy: "I do."

Then, he started searching through his phone: "Among those people, I should be the only one with evidence."

Soon, he placed the evidence on General Manager Su's desk, as if wanting him to see the content for himself.

General Manager Su picked up the phone and squinted as he watched the video content.

The video not only showed the two of them but also the sound was clearly audible.

General Manager Su pushed the phone towards the man: "Send me this video. Can you show your face?"

The man looked at General Manager Su raising the question of showing his face in the evidence and instinctively understood that General Manager Su wanted to question his stance.

In just a second, the man nodded repeatedly: "I can show my face. I knew he wasn't up to any good."

If it weren't for him seizing the opportunity, he believed his hotel wouldn't make much money.

General Manager Su received the video and immediately dialed Liu Long's number.

At this time, Liu Long was looking for Yu Qing.

However, Yu Qing had disappeared as if into thin air. He couldn't even find the person, let alone other things.

If they didn't have evidence, they could only passively search for Yu Qing.

But this time, they didn't need to worry about so many issues.

General Manager Su told Liu Long to come back as soon as possible and arranged a press conference here.

Coincidentally, there were many reporters secretly filming at the hotel entrance, as if wanting to capture all their unsightly moments.

Although these reporters didn't state their identities, General Manager Su could guess that these people were most likely Yu Qing's people.

Other reporters wouldn't know that something was happening at Muxin Hotel at this time; a little push could easily figure it out.

Soon, General Manager Su came to the entrance, glanced at them, and waved: "Stop the sneaking around, come over here."

When the reporters saw General Manager Su gesturing to them, they exchanged glances, not understanding what confidence General Manager Su had to ask them to come over.

General Manager Su glanced at the machines in their hands and found that they were all turned on.

Then, he placed his phone in front of them: "Look carefully, Yu Qing instigated the franchisees to come and cause trouble."

As reporters hired by Yu Qing, they felt they couldn't be swayed by General Manager Su's evidence.

They exchanged glances and pointed inside: "Can we interview your franchisees?"

In their eyes, the franchisees had been bought off by Yu Qing, and they believed the franchisees knew how to respond.

But the reporters didn't expect that General Manager Su had threatened all the franchisees present with the development of the catering section.

As long as someone said Yu Qing's lines, that hotel would basically be sentenced to death.

Soon, the reporters followed General Manager Su into the lobby.

Since they didn't recognize the franchisees present, they could only randomly pull one from the crowd: "Excuse me, were you threatened?"

The franchisee was about to respond when his eyes immediately fell on General Manager Su.

Instantly, he understood that his response had a high possibility of affecting the hotel's safety.

He shook his head repeatedly: "Yu Qing contacted us and said we could get a sum of money here. We agreed to come together."

The reporters heard them telling the truth and instinctively wanted to cover it up.

However, before they could turn off their machines, General Manager Su's voice came from behind.

"If you turn off your machines now, we have surveillance here. Don't ask for trouble."

Reporters need to have professional ethics. Even a slight change could lead to a professional downfall.

When they saw General Manager Su looking at them, they took a deep breath: "We will edit truthfully."

In just half an hour, many reporters walked in from the doorway. These were all reporters General Manager Su had invited.

General Manager Su glanced at them and said: "You have five minutes to set up your equipment."

The reporters all agreed and placed their cameras in fixed positions.

Because these people were invited by General Manager Su, their positions were all prime.

In just a few minutes, they gave General Manager Su a signal, indicating that they were ready.

General Manager Su displayed the evidence on the screen, showing them Yu Qing's true face.

Then, General Manager Su glanced at the franchisees present: "It was our mistake that the chefs were not in place, and we are willing to offer compensation."

As for the specific amount of compensation, he needed to consult the shareholders.

The franchisees saw General Manager Su's generous attitude and felt that they had judged a gentleman by their own narrow-mindedness.

Soon, all the problems at the scene were resolved.

General Manager Su sent all the franchisees away, telling them to return to their own hotels as soon as possible and wait for the results.

It was impossible for the branch hotels to not have a Manager in charge, otherwise no one would know if Yu Qing would take advantage of the opportunity to take over the branch hotels.

As the newspapers published Yu Qing's dark history, many hotels blacklisted Yu Qing.

Unless he went to work in some obscure small hotel, no large hotel would hire him.

Muxin Hotel itself was a leading enterprise in the hotel industry, and no hotel dared to offend them.

Moreover, there was a biggest problem: anyone with a discerning eye knew that Yuantu Investment was behind Muxin Hotel.

If they inadvertently took in Yu Qing, they would most likely offend the Yuantu Investment behind them.

At that time, small hotels would have no other way but to lose money.

As the small interlude gradually ended, General Manager Su returned to his office.

He originally thought he could rest for a day or two, after all, Yu Qing also needed to lie low.

Who knew that a phone call once again broke the tranquility, making General Manager Su feel exceptionally troubled.

General Manager Su glanced at the phone number, took a deep breath, and answered Liu Sheng's call.

The two of them were already in a cooperative relationship, and he believed Liu Sheng had no reason to do anything that would violate their promise.

In just a few seconds, Liu Sheng's voice came from the phone: "Mu Ruguang is here with me."

General Manager Su learned that Mu Ruguang was at Liu Sheng's hotel and frowned slightly: "What does Mu Ruguang want with you?"

Liu Sheng took a deep breath: "He brought many chefs to work here, and I refused."

As long as he was willing to send the chefs away, it meant he had already chosen a side.

Before General Manager Su could respond, Liu Sheng's voice came again: "You'd better come here, otherwise..."

Although he didn't explicitly state the truth of the matter, General Manager Su basically understood.

Liu Sheng was very likely facing a dilemma. Wang Pai had a high possibility of acquiring Liu Sheng's shares.

At that time, Mu Ruguang's chefs would have a place to go, and they would lose their leverage.

As soon as the call ended, General Manager Su left Muxin Hotel.
