373: Groundbreaking Ceremony

The next day, early morning.

Su Yue heard his phone alarm ring and immediately sat up from bed. He knew he absolutely couldn't be late today.

Just as the alarm stopped, Song Hai's call came through on Su Yue's phone.

Su Yue looked at the number on his phone and smiled: "I don't think there's any reason for you two to be so anxious."

Hearing Su Yue's clear voice, Song Hai knew he was already awake and simply sent the location of the groundbreaking ceremony.

Su Yue looked at the location on his phone and casually opened the navigation to see how far away he was.

Originally, he thought the construction site would be in a remote location, but no one expected this site to be right around Yuantu Investment Company.

Since that was the case, Su Yue wasn't so worried and quietly went to the bathroom to wash up.

Although Su Yue hadn't arrived at the site yet, he knew this time would definitely be very troublesome.

Huasheng Group already knew that Ou Huang Real Estate had betrayed them, and he believed Huasheng Group would place all the trouble on Ou Huang Real Estate.

In just a few minutes, Su Yue tidied up his clothes slightly and walked out of his residence.

At this time, everything needed for the groundbreaking ceremony on the construction site was already prepared.

Song Hai and Xiao Ou were even standing at the ribbon-cutting spot, as if practicing the process themselves.

When the two saw Su Yue's car arrive, they couldn't help but walk up to him, a smile on their faces: "General Manager Su, we thought you wouldn't come."

In their opinion, Su Yue had no reason to attend their groundbreaking ceremony; after all, Su Yue couldn't make money from them.

But they didn't expect that once Huasheng Group got involved in this matter, Yuantu Investment Company had no reason to stay out; they also needed to get involved.

As the sky gradually brightened, Song Hai arranged all the workers below, planning to hold the ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of them.

Just then, Xiao Ou's phone in his pocket rang.

Su Yue casually glanced in Xiao Ou's direction and noticed Xiao Ou's expression was very unnatural, so he quietly walked outside.

Just from his expression, it was clear that something must have happened to him.

Su Yue immediately followed behind Xiao Ou, and the two left the groundbreaking ceremony site one after the other.

Song Hai watched Su Yue and Xiao Ou leave from a distance, his face full of confusion, having no idea why they were leaving at such a time.

Afterwards, Song Hai called Su Yue, seemingly wanting to ask where Su Yue had gone.

When Su Yue heard Song Hai calling, he immediately said to Song Hai: "Something's not right with General Manager Xiao, you guys carry on with your work, I'll be back when it's time."

With Su Yue's affirmative reply, Song Hai finally felt relieved and continued preparing for the groundbreaking ceremony.

Meanwhile, Xiao Ou arrived at the entrance of a coffee shop and subconsciously glanced around, as if checking if anyone was following him.

Only when he confirmed that there was no one around did he walk into the coffee shop.

Su Yue felt a strange sense of tension in his heart seeing Xiao Ou's cautious demeanor and entered the coffee shop.

The waiter saw Su Yue arrive alone and came forward with a smile: "Sir, would you like to reserve a private room?"

Because the coffee shop was right across from Yuantu Investment Company, Su Yue was very familiar with the people here.

Su Yue glanced at the waiter and pointed at Xiao Ou, who had just walked inside: "Can you show me their surveillance footage?"

When the waiter heard that Su Yue wanted to check the surveillance, he subconsciously glanced in the Manager's direction.

As a waiter, he certainly didn't have that authority.

Su Yue walked up to the Manager, took out his work ID, and said: "I'm from Yuantu Investment Company. Can I see your surveillance footage? Consider it helping us out."

Yuantu Investment Company usually bought a lot of coffee from them, and now that Su Yue needed their help, the Manager naturally agreed.

Soon, the two of them arrived at the main control room.

The Manager retrieved the surveillance footage from Xiao Ou's private room and placed it in front of Su Yue: "General Manager Su, if you need anything, you can have them find me. I have other things to attend to."

Su Yue nodded slightly and took out his phone.

At this moment, Xiao Ou and Liu Sheng were sitting together, and it was unclear what they were discussing.

From the angle of the surveillance footage, it looked as if Liu Sheng had given something to Xiao Ou.

Su Yue was worried that something might go wrong with the groundbreaking ceremony, so he simply filmed all the footage and sneered: "It seems Liu Sheng's handle has fallen into my hands again."

Saying this, Su Yue slowly walked outside without attracting their attention.

It was unclear how much time had passed when Xiao Ou returned to the construction site with a nervous expression.

Su Yue didn't know if he would confess voluntarily, so he couldn't help but walk up to Xiao Ou: "General Manager Xiao, where did you go just now? We were looking everywhere for you."

Xiao Ou's expression clearly became flustered when he heard Su Yue asking him: "I... I had a stomach ache, I stayed in the restroom for a while just now."

With such a clumsy excuse, it's unlikely that many people would believe him.

But Su Yue didn't say anything about it, looking ahead with a relaxed expression, as if waiting for the groundbreaking ceremony to begin.

Song Hai looked at the time on his watch, which was already eight o'clock, and quietly came up to Su Yue and Xiao Ou: "The ribbon-cutting is at eight-oh-eight. You two will cut the ribbon with me."

Three people cutting the ribbon simultaneously represented that the business was done by the three of them together. Song Hai never took all the credit for himself.

Su Yue heard Song Hai wanting him to help with the ribbon-cutting and reluctantly agreed: "Originally, I didn't want to cut the ribbon with you, but since you insist on me accompanying you, I have no objections."

In just eight minutes, Song Hai came to the edge of the ribbon, picked up the large scissors, and chuckled.

Before he could speak, many people walked in through the entrance, as if intending to stop them from cutting the ribbon.

Su Yue glanced at the group of people and understood that they were specifically there to stop them.

Su Yue took a few steps back, leaving the stage here to Song Hai.

Song Hai was the leader of the project; Su Yue had no reason to be the one to step forward.

When the people below heard Song Hai stopping them, they couldn't help but say to Song Hai: "What right do you have to start construction? This is our territory!"

Song Hai looked at the few people with a face full of surprise, never having expected them to come here to cause trouble.

The people below didn't care about that much. They threw all the surrounding chairs onto the ground and sneered: "Get out of here as soon as possible. This project should be ours. Don't force us to lay hands on you!"

Su Yue saw that Song Hai wasn't as imposing as those people and knew perfectly well that Song Hai had no way of talking to them.

Su Yue walked up from behind and glanced at the few people: "I wonder where your leader is? We can sit down and have a good talk."

If local people had come to cause trouble, Su Yue felt they could just spend some money to get rid of them.

But they were all hired to cause trouble, so money was useless to them.

In just a few seconds, a person walked out from the crowd and stood in front of Su Yue: "I am their leader. What do you need me for?"

Su Yue sized up the man in front of him and pointed to the office behind: "Let's talk inside. Everything can be negotiated. Using your method won't solve the problem and might even escalate things."

When they heard that Su Yue was willing to talk properly with them, they followed behind Su Yue, and the group entered the room.

Originally, the man thought Su Yue would definitely make an offer for them to leave, but who knew Su Yue's first question was who had sent them.

The man just stood there stunned, his face full of confusion, pointing to himself: "You're asking who arranged for us to come?"

Su Yue nodded slightly: "That's right, I want to ask who arranged for you to come. Let's be frank and open; there's no need to hide anything."

When the man saw that Su Yue had seen through everything, he took a deep breath and forced himself to say: "No one sent us. Just tell us how you want to talk?"

Just from his performance just now, it was clear that there was someone behind him, but he wasn't willing to say it.

Su Yue placed his phone in front of them and pointed at the content inside: "The person in here should be the one behind you, right?"

Afterwards, he kept observing the man's expression, as if trying to discern something from it.

Sure enough, the man's eyes widened when he saw the image on the phone.

Only after a few seconds did he slowly return to normal, placing the phone in front of Su Yue: "General Manager Su, stop probing me. I don't know anything. Just tell me if your project is going to continue or not."

Su Yue sneered, hearing the man still threatening him: "If you think you can bear the consequences of this whole matter, then I'll just put you in front as a shield. You should know the power of Yuantu Investment Company."

When the man saw that Su Yue wanted to make him a scapegoat, he quickly blocked Su Yue's path: "You can't just jump to conclusions without distinguishing right from wrong!"

It was precisely because of the man's actions that the fact that there was someone behind them was exposed.

When the man realized he had made a revealing move, he gave a helpless bitter smile: "Why do we have to be caught in the middle of your game?"

Originally, he didn't want to play such a role, but Huasheng Group gave him enough profit, which made him willing to come out.

However, Su Yue had already made preparations, leaving him with no options.

Just then, Xiao Ou came up to Su Yue, as if wanting to explain something.

However, before Xiao Ou could speak, Su Yue couldn't help but say to Xiao Ou: "You don't need to explain anything to me. I'm dealing with their matter right now."

Anyway, Liu Sheng had already shown his face, which meant the video was the most direct evidence.

In less than a minute, the man took a deep breath: "Can you let me go? I'm willing to listen to you."

When two large companies are in a game, anyone caught in the middle is likely to run into problems.

The man was someone who could see the situation clearly. He knew that if he stubbornly held on, something could go wrong.

To avoid trouble for himself, the man had no choice but to extricate himself as quickly as possible.

Su Yue walked to the window and glanced at the people outside: "First, find a way to get all your people out of here."

The groundbreaking ceremony couldn't have people causing trouble; otherwise, Greenland Real Estate might become a laughingstock.

When the man heard that Su Yue wanted his people to leave, he immediately said to Su Yue: "They are all people I hired. I'll tell them to leave right away."

The man walked outside and called away everyone outside.

Strictly speaking, the people outside were very likely actors hired to do a job for money, not genuinely here to cause trouble.

Although Huasheng Group is a large and powerful company, they also don't have people specifically trained to do this kind of thing.

As the people outside left, Su Yue couldn't help but say to the man: "Are you willing to help me testify against him?"

The man's brows furrowed slightly when he heard Su Yue wanting him to prove that Liu Sheng was the mastermind, and he shook his head: "I won't participate in your game."

From the man's perspective, no matter which side he joined, he couldn't leave safely.

The best way was to just leave directly, so neither side could trouble him.

However, Su Yue had no intention of letting him leave and sneered: "I'm not discussing this with you now. If you think it's troublesome, feel free to leave. What happens next, I don't know."

A vague remark made the man's steps immediately halt, and he subconsciously glanced in Su Yue's direction.

Su Yue shrugged indifferently, greeted the people at the door, and told them to open the gate.

Even if the gate was wide open for him, he believed he had no reason to leave.

In just one minute, the man returned to Su Yue's front, his face full of anger: "General Manager Su, why is it that in your games, it's always small people like us who get hurt?"

He knew that if he came out to testify, Liu Sheng was very likely to put the blame on him, and then he couldn't escape responsibility.

And if he left now, Su Yue was very likely to put the blame on him, making it impossible for him to leave either.

At the same time, Su Yue glanced at the time on his watch and pointed outside: "I'm only giving you five minutes now. If you're not willing to make a decision, then I'll have to make the choice for you."

When the man heard Su Yue say this, his brows furrowed slightly, and he felt no confidence at all.

Just then, Xiao Ou came up to the man and pointed to the video on the phone: "The person inside is me. I'm already on his side now."

With just a short sentence, the man seemed to have found his backbone, his face serious, and he nodded: "Then I am willing to testify for you."
