113: Chapter 112 The Inner Earth, First Level Made Easy

The next morning. 8:30 AM.

Luo Yu, Su Zhiruo, Su Qingxue, and Ivy gathered at the base entrance.

Colonel Jensen was waiting for them with a dozen soldiers.

Originally, Eagle Country wanted to send a few people to follow along, but Luo Yu refused, stating that more people were just a burden. Ivy alone was enough; if Eagle Country insisted on sending more people, he would not be responsible for their protection.

Consequently, Eagle Country temporarily decided to have the others stay behind.

"Are you ready?" Colonel Jensen asked upon seeing Luo Yu and the others arrive.

"We can leave at any time," Luo Yu replied.

"Then let's go."

The group rode in a military off-road vehicle, driving along the mountain road for twenty minutes, and arrived at the cave entrance.

The cave had a diameter of over five hundred meters. Massive steel supports and searchlights were set up along the edge. Looking down, it was pitch black, with no bottom in sight.

"This is the entrance to the Hollow Earth World," Jensen said, pointing at the cave. "We have built a lifting platform on the edge that can take you directly to the bottom of the first layer."

"No need."

Luo Yu walked to the edge of the cave and glanced down. It was indeed bottomless.

"You really want to go down on your own?" Jensen looked surprised.

"Yes."

"Then... good luck." Jensen stepped back a few paces.

Luo Yu turned to look at Su Zhiruo. "Are you ready?"

"Anytime."

Su Zhiruo took a deep breath and formed hand seals.

"Wait." Ivy walked over. "Include me."

"Hold on to me." Luo Yu reached out his hand. Ivy took Luo Yu's hand. Su Qingxue walked to Luo Yu's other side and took his hand as well.

"Hiss! (Let's go!)" Godzilla lay on Luo Yu's shoulder, its vertical pupils fixed on the depths of the cave.

Su Zhiruo closed her eyes, and silver-white spatial energy surged throughout her body. Hum! Space began to distort. The figures of the four became blurry.

The next second, they vanished from the cave edge. Jensen and the soldiers widened their eyes. "Did they really... teleport?"

Inside the cave. 2,800 meters deep. Hum! Space distorted. The four of them appeared out of thin air on a massive rock platform.

"Ugh..." Ivy let go of Luo Yu's hand, covering her mouth and retching a few times.

"I told you it would make you dizzy," Luo Yu chuckled.

"I'm okay..." Ivy recovered after a few seconds and looked around.

This was a massive underground space. The rock walls were covered in glowing blue crystals, emitting a faint light. The air was filled with a strange smell, like sulfur mixed with dirt.

"Is this the bottom of the first layer?" Su Zhiruo asked.

"It should be." Su Qingxue walked to the edge of the platform, glanced down, and said, "There is an even deeper space below."

"Hiss! (Something's there!)" Godzilla suddenly raised its head, its vertical pupils fixed on the darkness in the distance.

Luo Yu immediately became alert. "What is it?"

"Hiss! (A creature!)"

As soon as it finished, heavy footsteps came from the darkness. Thump... thump... thump... The sound grew closer.

The four of them immediately entered combat mode. Su Zhiruo formed hand seals, ready to teleport at any moment. Su Qingxue drew her military knife, and a layer of frost condensed on the blade.

Ivy took an electromagnetic rifle from her back and aimed it at the darkness. Luo Yu subconsciously had Godzilla move to the front, and crimson energy condensed in his right hand.

The footsteps stopped. In the darkness, two massive green eyes lit up. Then a third. A fourth. A fifth.

"Five of them..." Ivy's expression turned solemn.

Roar! A deafening roar erupted. Five massive creatures charged out of the darkness.

They were over fifty meters long, their bodies covered in gray scales, with thick limbs and multiple eyes on their heads.

"They're Hollow Earth World Lizards!" Ivy recognized them and said, "We encountered them last time!"

"What's their level?" Luo Yu asked.

"Between A-rank and S-rank."

"That makes it easy." Luo Yu looked calm.

For Godzilla, A-rank to S-rank creatures were just fodderβ€”no, more accurately, they didn't even qualify as fodder.

"Godzilla."

"Hiss! (Leave it to me!)"

Godzilla jumped off Luo Yu's shoulder, its body rapidly expanding. Thirty centimeters... one meter... ten meters... forty meters... finally stopping at fifty meters tall.

Roar! Godzilla let out a low growl, and the blue light on its dorsal fins began to flicker.

The five Hollow Earth World Lizards saw Godzilla, and fear flashed in their eyes. But... they didn't retreat; instead, they accelerated and charged over.

"Hiss! (You're seeking death!)" Godzilla opened its mouth. Atomic Breath! A blue-white beam of light shot out.

Boom! The first Hollow Earth World Lizard was hit by the beam, and its body instantly vaporized.

[Ding! Godzilla killed an S-rank Hollow Earth World Lizard]

The remaining four Hollow Earth World Lizards stopped in fear. But Godzilla didn't give them a chance to react. It swung its tail. Crack! The second Hollow Earth World Lizard was whipped away, smashed against the rock wall, and died on the spot.

Godzilla strode forward and grabbed the neck of the third Hollow Earth World Lizard with its right claw. Snap! Its neck broke.

The remaining two Hollow Earth World Lizards turned and ran. Godzilla opened its mouth and fired two consecutive, weakened versions of Atomic Breath. Boom! Boom! Both Hollow Earth World Lizards were vaporized simultaneously.

From start to finish, it took less than twenty seconds. Despite being mentally prepared, Ivy was still shocked as she watched this scene.

"This..."

"I told you, Godzilla is very strong," Luo Yu said with a smile.

Godzilla shrank back to thirty centimeters and jumped back onto Luo Yu's shoulder, letting out a listless cry. "Hiss! (Too weak.)"

"Don't be impatient, there should be stronger ones below."

Luo Yu walked to the edge of the platform and looked down. Below was deeper darkness.

"Should we continue down?" Su Zhiruo asked.

"Of course." Luo Yu turned to look at her. "Teleport to the second layer."

"Okay." Su Zhiruo formed hand seals again, and invisible spiritual energy began to spread downward. Once it reached the second layer, Hum! Space distorted. The four of them vanished from the platform.

Accompanied by a wave of spatial fluctuations, Luo Yu and his group of four appeared in the second-layer ecological zone. What they were stepping on was not rock, but soft soil.

Above their heads, it wasn't the rock walls of a cave, but a vast blue sky. A real sky. White clouds drifted by, sunlight shone down, and the temperature was around twenty-five degrees.

"This..." Ivy looked nervous.

"Eight thousand meters underground, and there's actually a sun?" Su Qingxue looked up at the sky, her brows furrowed.

"It's not a real sun." Su Zhiruo pointed into the distance. "Look over there."

Everyone followed the direction of her finger. At the edge of the sky, they could see massive rock walls extending upward, disappearing into the clouds. In other words, this "sky" was actually a massive hollow cavity, and the "sunlight" came from the bioluminescent crystals densely packed on the rock walls.

"Bioluminescent ore."

Luo Yu walked over to a tree, reached out, and touched the trunk. "The energy concentration is over ten times higher than on the surface."

This tree had a diameter of over five meters, and its height was estimated to be over one hundred meters. The leaves were massive, each one as large as a dining table.

"Hiss!" Godzilla jumped off Luo Yu's shoulder and landed on the ground. Immediately, its size instantly expanded to five meters tall.

"Did Godzilla sense something?" Luo Yu asked.

"Hiss, hiss." Godzilla's vertical pupils scanned the surroundings, its tail swaying slowly. The air was filled with a peculiar scent. It wasn't rot, but a primitive, wild aura.

"Something is approaching."

Su Qingxue raised her right hand, and frost condensed in her palm.

Luo Yu perked up his ears. Heavy footsteps came from the distance. Boom. Boom. Each step caused the ground to tremble slightly.

"It's not small." Ivy subconsciously took half a step back.

Deep in the forest, a massive figure pushed aside the trees and walked out.

It was a giant wild boar. It was over thirty meters long, fifteen meters high at the shoulder, with tusks five meters long, and its body was covered in thick, brown fur. Its eyes were red, and its nostrils puffed out white hot steam.
