94: Chapter 93 Mech Test: Holding on for ten seconds is already amazing.

The next morning.

Luo Yu was woken up by the vibration of his communicator.

"Lieutenant General Luo Yu, good morning."

The Minister of National Defense of Eagle Country came through the communicator, saying: "The testing ground is ready. It starts at nine o'clock. Does that work for you?"

"Sure."

Luo Yu rubbed his eyes. "I'll be there soon."

Hanging up, Luo Yu looked at Godzilla, who was lying by the bed.

"Godzilla, time to get up. Time to go bully some noobs."

"Sss?"

Godzilla opened its vertical pupils and yawned.

Half an hour later.

East Coast Military Base.

The massive testing ground had been cleared; there were no buildings within a ten-kilometer radius.

On the ground, hundreds of special cameras were set up.

In the sky, over twenty drones circled.

This test would be broadcast live globally.

Luo Yu stood on the observation deck, looking at the three silver-white mechas in the distance.

"Fifth-generation mechas..."

A flash of interest crossed Luo Yu's eyes.

Alright!

It had to be said that Eagle Country's mecha technology was indeed leading the world; just the exterior of these three mechas was full of a sense of technology.

"Lieutenant General Luo Yu."

The Minister of National Defense of Eagle Country walked over and introduced: "This is our newly developed 'freedom god of war' series mecha. It stands 270 meters tall, weighs 38,000 tons, and is equipped with plasma cannons, missile systems, and energy shields. Its theoretical combat power is comparable to a Fifth-Order Abyssal Giant Beast."

"Not bad."

Luo Yu nodded solemnly.

"Those three Mecha Pilots are our Eagle Country's top aces." The Minister of National Defense pointed into the distance and said with some pride: "The leader is Aivie Stirling, an SS-Class Awakened and Eagle Country's strongest Mecha Pilot."

Luo Yu looked in the direction he was pointing.

He saw a young woman with blonde hair and blue eyes standing in front of the mecha, wearing a black combat suit, exuding a cold and elegant aura.

She seemed to sense Luo Yu's gaze and turned to look over.

Their eyes met in the air.

Ivy's eyes flashed with fighting spirit, then she nodded in the distance and turned to enter the mecha cockpit.

"Lieutenant General Luo Yu, the test rules are like this." The next second, the Minister of National Defense explained: "The three mechas will attack Godzilla together. The test duration is thirty minutes. During this time, the Mecha Pilots will use all weapon systems and give it their all."

"Of course, this is just a test, so it won't actually hurt Godzilla."

"I understand."

Luo Yu patted Godzilla on his shoulder and said: "Godzilla, did you hear that? Don't go too hard."

"Sss! (Got it)"

Godzilla jumped down from Luo Yu's shoulder, and its body began to expand.

Thirty centimeters... one meter... ten meters... fifty meters... one hundred meters...

Finally, Godzilla stopped at a height of 150 meters.

It didn't transform into its 350-meter full form, just maintained a moderate size.

After all, it was just a test; there was no need to bully anyone.

Roar!

Godzilla let out a low growl and stepped toward the center of the testing ground.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Each step made the ground tremble.

Inside the mecha cockpits, Ivy sat in the pilot's seat, her hands gripping the control sticks.

The neural connection system activated, and her consciousness was perfectly synchronized with the mecha.

"freedom god of war One, system check complete."

"freedom god of war Two, ready."

"freedom god of war Three, ready to start at any time."

The voices of the three Mecha Pilots rang out in the communication channel.

"Very good."

Ivy took a deep breath and said: "Remember, the opponent is Godzilla. Do not hold anything back."

"Understood!"

"Countdown to the start of the test."

The voice from the command center came through, "Ten, nine, eight..."

Ivy stared at Godzilla's figure on the screen, her heart rate accelerating.

"Three, two, one..."

"Test start!"

Boom!

The three mechas started simultaneously, their rear thrusters spraying blue flames.

They rushed toward Godzilla at an astonishing speed.

"Spread out!"

Ivy ordered.

The three mechas immediately scattered, surrounding Godzilla from three directions.

"Plasma cannons, fire!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Three blue energy beams shot out from the cannons on the mechas' arms, blasting toward Godzilla.

Godzilla stood in place, its vertical pupils scanning the three mechas.

"Sss! (Is that it?)"

Godzilla didn't even dodge, just stood there and let the three plasma cannon shots hit it.

Rumble!

Accompanied by the deafening sound of energy explosions, a huge shockwave of dust and smoke was kicked up.

"It's a hit!"

The second Mecha Pilot shouted excitedly.

"Don't get happy too soon." Ivy stared at the screen, her tone grave: "Wait until the dust settles."

And so it was. A few seconds later, the dust settled.

Godzilla was still standing in place, without even a scratch on its body.

"What?"

The second Mecha Pilot said in disbelief, "The plasma cannons actually had no effect?"

"This defensive power..."

The third Mecha Pilot gasped.

Ivy gritted her teeth.

She had known Godzilla's defense was astonishing, but she hadn't expected it to be this strong.

The plasma cannons were weapons capable of piercing the scales of a Fifth-Order Abyssal Giant Beast, yet they couldn't even break a tiny bit of Godzilla's skin.

"Switch weapons."

Ivy ordered calmly, "Use the missile system, saturation attack."

"Received!"

The missile launchers on the backs of the three mechas opened.

Hundreds of micro-missiles whistled out, trailing white exhaust flames as they flew toward Godzilla.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Continuous explosions rang out.

The entire testing ground was shrouded in fire and smoke.

On the observation deck, Luo Yu watched this scene, shook his head, and said with a smile: "These weapons are like tickling Godzilla."

"..."

Hearing this, the Eagle Country Minister of National Defense's expression turned somewhat bitter.

Their Fifth-generation mechas, which they were so proud of, couldn't even break Godzilla's defense.

The gap was just too huge.

In the center of the testing ground, the smoke cleared again.

Godzilla was still unscathed, not even having changed its posture.

"Sss! (Boring)"

Seeming a bit bored, Godzilla even lazily yawned.

"Damn it..."

Seeing this, cold sweat broke out on Ivy's forehead; she had never encountered such a situation.

No matter what weapons she used, she couldn't cause any damage to the opponent. This feeling of powerlessness made her feel frustrated. Was this the terror of Godzilla?

"Ivy, what do we do?" The second Mecha Pilot asked.

"Close-quarters combat." Ivy made a decision and ordered: "The mechas' melee systems haven't been tested yet; let's try that."

"Understood!"

The three mechas charged at Godzilla simultaneously.

Ivy controlled her mecha, charging its right fist, and slammed it toward Godzilla's chest.

Bang!

The fist hit Godzilla.

Then...

Crack!

The mecha's fist deformed directly.

"What?"

Ivy's eyes widened.

"Sss! (Too brittle)"

Godzilla lowered its head and glanced at the deformed mecha fist, a flash of helplessness crossing its vertical pupils.

Immediately, Godzilla raised its claw and gave a light push.

Bang!

Ivy's mecha was pushed flying directly, rolling on the ground several times.

"Ivy!"

The second and third Mecha Pilots were shocked.

They immediately rushed up, trying to attack Godzilla.

Godzilla flicked its tail.

Slap! Slap!

Both mechas were swatted away at the same time.

Less than ten seconds.

The three most advanced mechas of Eagle Country were all lying on the ground.

Silence.

The global live stream chat fell into dead silence.

Everyone was shocked by this scene.

The Fifth-generation mechas that Eagle Country was proud of were just like toy cars in front of Godzilla.

"Is... is this the strength of Godzilla?"

"Too terrifying..."

"Eagle Country's mechas are completely no match at all."

On the observation deck, the Eagle Country Minister of National Defense didn't know what to say anymore.

He knew they would lose, but he didn't expect to lose so miserably.

Three mechas, and they couldn't even hold out for ten seconds; what was the point of testing anymore?

"Lieutenant General Luo Yu..."

The next second, the Minister of National Defense took a deep breath and smiled bitterly: "It seems our mechas still have a lot of room for improvement."

"Hmm."

Luo Yu comforted: "It's fine. Your mecha technology is indeed good, it's just... Godzilla is too strong."

"Sigh!"

The Minister of National Defense sighed helplessly.

Indeed.

With Godzilla as the standard, all human weapons were trash.

On the testing ground, Ivy crawled out of the mecha cockpit, looking at Godzilla, who was leisurely flicking its tail in the distance.

In her eyes, besides shock, there was a deep sense of frustration. As the strongest Mecha Pilot of Eagle Country, she felt what it meant to be desperate and helpless for the first time.

No matter what means were used, she couldn't cause any damage to Godzilla.

This gap couldn't be bridged by technology at all.

"Ivy, are you okay?" The second Mecha Pilot ran over and asked with concern.

"I'm fine." Ivy shook her head, her voice a bit hoarse, helplessly saying: "It's just... the Fifth-generation mechas we were so proud of are not even as good as toys in front of Godzilla."

"Yeah..."

The third Mecha Pilot also walked over, her face full of frustration, "I thought we could at least hold out for a few minutes, but it wasn't even ten seconds."

"No."

Ivy suddenly looked up at Godzilla, a flash of awe crossing her eyes: "It's not that we are too weak; it's that Godzilla is too strong. That kind of defensive power, that kind of strength, is simply not something human technology can reach."

"..."

The two companions fell silent.

As the top Mecha Pilots of Eagle Country, they had never encountered such a powerful opponent.

Invisibly... this feeling of powerlessness made them deeply realize how small humans were in front of Abyssal Giant Beasts.

"Let's go."

Ivy turned and walked toward the observation deck, saying: "Let's go apologize to Lieutenant General Luo Yu. Our test caused him trouble."

On the observation deck, Luo Yu was still talking to the Eagle Country Minister of National Defense.

"Lieutenant General Luo Yu, I am very sorry."

Seeing that the Mecha Pilots had chosen to give up, the Minister of National Defense's face became even more embarrassed, and he could only speak again: "Our mechas are really... too weak; they didn't let Godzilla have fun."

"It's fine."

Luo Yu waved his hand and said: "Ten seconds, that's already pretty good."

"..."

After this sentence, the Minister of National Defense felt like an incompetent husband, beaten to the point of being completely battered.

Among other things, Eagle Country had their own little schemes, but now, the little schemes were almost overturned, and he had become an incompetent husband, yet he couldn't say much, which was truly uncomfortable.
