197: Chapter 195 Can't figure it out? Then just crush it.

Consequently, Luo Yu turned the purple crystal over and over, examining it three times.

Pandora's reaction was abnormally intense; the little snake had twisted itself into a knot around his wrist, its single eye wide open, and its hissing never ceased.

"Can you read the information on this?"

Pandora quieted down for two seconds, rubbing its body against the surface of the crystal. The runes lit up for an instant upon contact, then dimmed again.

"Fragmented... incomplete... it's a marker... used for recording the path."

Used for recording the path.

Luo Yu gripped the crystal, his thumb tracing the rune patterns on it.

A high-dimensional civilization's signpost appearing in the Abyss World.

What did this mean?

The door that Dr. William opened might not have been the first one.

Or perhaps, there might have already been some connection between the high-dimensional civilization and the Abyss World, which humans just weren't aware of before.

The large-scale southern retreat of Abyssal Giant Beasts, the biological spatial distortion appearing in the underground caverns, and high-dimensional signposts scattered near the outpost observation point... connecting these three things, it didn't seem like a coincidence no matter how he thought about it.

Luo Yu stood on the city wall, staring at the dead horizon to the south. His mind spun a dozen times, the more he thought, the more complex it became. Could it be that the three kings of the abyss were brewing a big move? Were high-dimensional beings manipulating things from the shadows? Or was the Abyss World itself undergoing some kind of transformation?

Five seconds later, he shoved the crystal into his pocket.

"Screw thinking about it."

Ivy, standing beside him, was stunned.

Luo Yu turned back and said nonchalantly, "Not enough intel to analyze it. Instead of guessing blindly here, it's better to just kill our way over there and see."

"Kill your way over?"

Ivy processed this for two seconds, "That nest five hundred and eighty kilometers away?"

"Correct."

"There's no telling how many Abyssal Giant Beasts are concentrated there."

"Correct."

"And there might be something above Titan-level underground."

"Correct."

Ivy opened her mouth, then closed it again.

She wanted to say this was unreasonable, didn't conform to military common sense, and one shouldn't rashly advance without sufficient intelligence, but she quickly realized that this logic didn't apply to the person in front of her.

The rules of conventional warfare were designed for conventional combat power.

And Luo Yu and Godzilla were never within the category of "conventional."

"Your Third Formation must guard the outpost observation point well; the two-hundred-kilometer perimeter must not shrink." Luo Yu walked down the city wall, speaking as he went, "I'll lead the First Formation to take the vanguard."

"Wait..."

Ivy took two steps after him and said, "You're taking twenty-five hundred people five hundred kilometers deep? The supply line will be stretched so thin, if it gets cut off..."

"Who said I was taking twenty-five hundred people?"

Luo Yu had already reached the bottom of the city wall.

Su Zhiruo had appeared there at some point, holding a tactical backpack, clearly having been prepared for a long time.

"The First Formation will remain at the bridgehead to coordinate with Su Qingxue. I'm only taking Zhiruo, and the three of them."

He patted his pocket.

Godzilla poked its head out of his pocket, scanned Ivy with its slit pupils, and then retreated back inside.

Mothra, on his shoulder, flapped its wings, dusting off two golden scales.

Pandora, on his wrist, pretended to be a bracelet.

One person, three pets.

Ivy stood in place, watching these four oddities walk outside the bridgehead, her mouth opening and closing several times.

Finally, she took a deep breath, turned, and walked back to her command tent, shouting into the communicator: "All members of the Third Formation, enter maximum alert."

Five minutes later.

Inside the bridgehead command tent, Su Qingxue received Luo Yu's communication.

"What? You're going to kill your way over alone?"

Her voice was half an octave higher than usual.

"Two people." Luo Yu corrected, "Zhiruo is coming with me."

The communication channel went silent.

Three seconds.

"Are you crazy?"

"No."

"A depth of over five hundred kilometers, a nest of unknown numbers of Giant Beasts, there might be Titan-level things underground, and you're going with two people?"

"Three pets."

"..."

Su Qingxue bit her lip and said nothing; the steady sound of her breathing came through the communicator, as she struggled to suppress something.

"Lieutenant Colonel Su." Luo Yu changed how he addressed her.

The breathing sound stopped.

"Last time we entered the Abyss, the three of us, plus Godzilla and Mothra, beat up everything at the ninth tier. Now Godzilla is Planet-level, I'm tenth tier peak, and Zhiruo's Space-type has broken through another level. This trip isn't a risk; it's reconnaissance and clearing obstacles. The expeditionary force of over ten thousand people pushing south is too slow, and the supply line will get stretched longer and longer. It's better for me to go through first and clear the path."

The logic was sound.

But Su Qingxue was not a person swayed by logic alone.

"You promise me one thing."

"Speak."

"Report that you're safe every two hours."

"Fine."

The communication cut off.

Su Qingxue put down the communicator, stood in the center of the tent, and stared at Luo Yu's location marker on the sand table for a long while without moving.

A young staff officer nearby spoke cautiously: "Lieutenant Colonel Su, should we send a few squads to follow at a distance?"

"No need."

Su Qingxue withdrew her gaze, her voice returning to its usual cold indifference.

"Can you keep up? He's riding a Planet-level monster."

The staff officer wisely shut up.

Five kilometers outside the bridgehead.

Luo Yu and Su Zhiruo stood on a protruding black rock, facing the desolate landscape unique to the Abyss World: cracked earth, steaming magma fissures, and silent, sharp stone pillars under the ink-green sky.

"Ready?"

Su Zhiruo tucked her stray hair behind her ear and nodded, her pretty face firm.

Luo Yu took Godzilla out of his pocket and placed it on the ground.

"Godzilla, transform, enter business trip mode."

Godzilla yawned.

Then!!

Crimson light spread from its dorsal fins, and the black scales expanded and stretched in the light, growing from thirty centimeters to three meters, from three meters to thirty meters, and from thirty meters to three hundred meters.

The earth trembled.

The air burned.

In less than five seconds, a nineteen-hundred-meter-tall black-red giant mountain stood upon the scorched earth of the Abyss World.

It had impressively entered the Planet-level ยท king of the titans ยท Peak Titan: Godzilla of Final Destruction form.

The gravitational field caused all the gravel within a three-kilometer radius to float, and the light in the sky bent around it. A thin halo of light shrouded the giant beast's silhouette, making it look like an ancient sculpture embedded into the reality of the world.

Godzilla lowered its head, its slit pupils looking at the two sesame-sized humans at its feet.

"Hiss."

Come up.

Luo Yu grabbed Su Zhiruo and leaped, spiritual power cushioning them, and the two landed on top of Godzilla's head.

Beneath their feet were rough, hard, black-gold scales, scalding but not burning; clearly, Godzilla had deliberately lowered its surface temperature.

Mothra spread its wings and flew into the air, following on Godzilla's right side. Its wingspan had also recovered to the hundred-meter level, and golden and blue scales trailed a long band of light across the ink-green sky of the Abyss.

Pandora hesitated for a moment, uncoiled from Luo Yu's wrist, restored its body to a two-meter length, coiled around Godzilla's right horn, and looked around with its single eye.

This setup, in any world, would be a dimensionality-reducing strike.
