191: Chapter 189 The beacon was shattered, the door was closed, and despair was inevitable.

"You insect... do you... do you know what you are provoking!"

The High-Dimensional Hunter chose to accelerate.

The vortex suddenly expanded, stretching from 120 meters to 300 meters.

Purple arcs of electricity burst from the pillar of the spatial beacon. The entire pillar was trembling. A complete arm, along with half a shoulder, was squeezing out with a violent, crushing posture.

The dimensional barrier was torn open like wet paper before it.

Pandora was no longer shaking.

Because it was so scared that it played dead.

Luo Yu looked down at the motionless little snake on his wrist, then looked at the half-figure violently breaking through the vortex.

"Godzilla, it seems to be in a hurry."

"Hiss."

Godzilla replied—the meaning was clear: What does that have to do with me?

It opened its mouth. For the third time.

This time, Godzilla did not use Red Lotus Breath.

It used a newly unlocked ability after evolution—Gravity Singularity.

A black sphere, only the size of a marble, floated out from Godzilla's mouth.

The surface of the sphere had no light, blacker than ink.

But... everything around it, such as: air, crushed ice, water vapor, dust, and even light itself, was bending towards it.

A miniature black hole.

The marble floated to the giant arm that was struggling to squeeze out. Then it stuck to it.

What happened at that moment, in physical terms, is called "tidal force tearing."

In layman's terms, the arm was being ripped apart from the inside out.

The white-gold light-matter skin deformed, stretched, and tore under the suction of the black hole. Those basic particles that made up the body of the high-dimensional creature were peeled off layer by layer and sucked into that marble-sized darkness.

"Aaaah!!!"

This scream had no arrogance, no threats, only pure feedback of pain.

An arm broke off from the shoulder and fell and disintegrated along with the first hand. The huge figure in the vortex shrank back violently, as if it had been beaten through and wanted to retreat.

Unfortunately, the black hole was still hanging on the edge of the vortex.

That marble-sized black sphere began to devour the spatial energy maintaining the vortex.

"No... you... stop..."

The mental projection of the High-Dimensional Hunter turned into a mass of chaotic noise. Fear and rage churned inside, and more of it was a deep, bone-chilling incomprehension.

It had lived for tens of thousands of years, or perhaps millions or tens of millions of years according to the time flow of the high-dimensional world, yet it had never suffered such a loss in a low-dimensional world.

"You will regret this, I will bring... the whole..."

The threat was not finished.

Godzilla interrupted it.

The method was simple.

Breath.

A proper planet-level Red Lotus Breath.

The beam was over five meters in diameter, with a temperature approaching the core of the sun.

This breath did not hit the arm, because the arm was already gone.

It hit inside the vortex.

Passing through the twisted space, through the dimensional barrier, and along the spatial channel established by the beacon, it struck directly at the main body of the High-Dimensional Hunter that was retreating on the other side of the vortex.

There was no sound on the Antarctic ice sheet.

But Luo Yu could "feel" it. Through the residual mental connection of the unbroken spatial channel, a scream from another dimension came.

That scream lasted for a full twelve seconds.

Then the entire spatial channel began to convulse violently. The cracks on the purple pillar spread over a large area. The energy output of the beacon core became extremely unstable, and the edge of the vortex began to shrink, twist, and deform.

"You... wait... I..."

The last string of intermittent mental fragments squeezed out of the vortex, carrying intense hatred and fear.

Godzilla finished listening and flicked its tail.

It had an expression of "Is that it?"

Then, it opened its mouth for the fifth time.

This time, Godzilla's target was not the High-Dimensional Hunter still howling on the other side of the vortex, but the purple pillar under its feet that was already cracked like broken porcelain.

The spatial beacon.

The core of the entire genesis laboratory, and also the channel connecting this world to the high-dimensional world.

"Hiss."

A very short hiss, and the crimson light patterns on the dorsal fins all lit up.

The breath did not come out.

Instead, it was a ring-shaped energy pulse released simultaneously from every scale on Godzilla's body - Atomic Pulse · Destruction.

The range of the pulse was not large, precisely controlled within a radius of 500 meters.

But within this 500-meter range, all matter: steel, rock, ice, equipment, petri dishes, nutrient solution, and the seven Titan clones still shivering in the ruins were all wiped out like a crushing force.

Not blown to pieces, not melted, but directly reduced to basic particles.

The purple pillar bore the brunt of it. Although the high-dimensional material that composed it was far tougher than ordinary matter, unfortunately, in front of the planet-level energy pulse, this toughness was meaningless.

The pillar broke from the middle, the purple light on the surface dimmed rapidly, the internal energy structure collapsed, and a large amount of space debris spewed out from the fracture.

The vortex began to shrink crazily.

From 300 meters to 100 meters, then to 50 meters, 20 meters, 10 meters...

"No, you cannot destroy the beacon, you don't know what you are doing."

The High-Dimensional Hunter's mental projection had turned into pure screaming.

It was afraid.

Not afraid of Godzilla, well, it was also afraid of Godzilla, but it was more afraid of the beacon being destroyed.

Because the beacon was not just a door. It was also a coordinate.

A coordinate that recorded the location information of this low-dimensional world.

Once the beacon was destroyed and the coordinate lost, it would never be able to find this place again.

For the High-Dimensional Hunter, this was equivalent to watching a gold mine whose entrance had already been discovered disappear forever before its eyes.

But Godzilla didn't care about these.

It stepped on it again.

It counted as a literal step.

That palm-sized claw stepped on the remains of the pillar that had broken into two pieces, and crimson energy poured in from the sole of its foot.

The remains of the pillar exploded.

Purple fragments splashed everywhere, and the spatial energy remaining on each fragment decayed rapidly after leaving the main body, turning into dim stones.

The vortex also twitched, and then disappeared.

Just... just like that, it disappeared.

There was no earth-shattering explosion, no special effects of spatial collapse.

A dark purple vortex with a diameter of 10 meters, after losing the energy support of the beacon, snapped and vanished like a turned-off projector.

In its place was a calm, empty air.

The last mental fragment of that High-Dimensional Hunter let out a long, unwilling, and furious roar, which was cut off at the same time the vortex closed, coming to an abrupt end.

It was quiet on the ice sheet. Truly quiet.

No purple light, no mental shockwaves, no white-gold giant hands.

Only the sound of the wind.

And a palm-sized black Little Lizard, standing on a pile of purple fragments, rubbing the stone slag it just stepped on with its hind legs.

"Hiss."

It was dirty. Godzilla thought it was dirty.

Luo Yu watched this scene and twitched the corner of his mouth.

He looked down at his wrist—Pandora was still playing dead.

But... the frequency of its body trembling had decreased significantly. Its emerald single eye secretly opened a slit, confirmed that there was no terrifying aura outside, and then quickly closed it again.

Good acting.

"Alright, stop pretending."

Luo Yu flicked its head.

Pandora opened its eyes aggrievedly and rubbed its head against the back of Luo Yu's hand. This was its way of saying "Thank you for not letting that terrible guy catch me."

"So, what level does that thing count as on your side?"

Pandora thought for a moment and sent a short thought: "The person in charge... the middle kind... not the biggest."

Not the biggest.

Luo Yu noted this information.

In other words, there were existences in the high-dimensional world stronger than the owner of this hand.

But it didn't matter.

Godzilla was still evolving, and the meal on the moon had only been half-digested. Once the evolution progress was pushed to one hundred, even if a few more "people in charge" came, it wouldn't be enough to watch.

Mothra flew up from Luo Yu's shoulder and circled the ruins of the destroyed beacon twice. Colorful scales sprinkled down, and those high-dimensional energy fragments remaining in the air were purified and wiped out.

This little girl had always been efficient.

"Okay."

Luo Yu clapped the ice shards off his hands, moved his gaze away from the ruins under his feet, and looked at the northeast corner of the remaining structure of the underground laboratory.

There, was an alloy door.

The thickness of the door was at least ten meters, and the material was military-grade titanium alloy composite armor—under normal circumstances, dozens of tactical nuclear bombs might not be able to penetrate it.

As for behind the door, it was an independent air-raid shelter with a complete life support system.

Luo Yu's spiritual power detection wave had long figured out the situation inside. A total of seventeen people were squeezed into that space of less than two hundred square meters. Their heartbeats were all morbidly fast, and some of them even showed symptoms of hyperventilation.

The one in the very middle, with the fastest heartbeat, was none other than Dr. William.

"Let's go."

Luo Yu stepped towards the direction of that door.

Godzilla jumped off the pile of debris and trotted behind him.

Mothra flew to the front to clear the way.

When passing by the fragments of the remaining petri dishes, Godzilla paused and sniffed the flesh residue scattered all over the ground.

"Hiss?"

It smelled its own scent. Or rather, it smelled a clumsy imitation of itself.

Its vertical pupils contracted.

Then it stepped on it and ground it. The expression was about the same as when it rubbed its dirty sole just now—disgust.

"Don't dawdle."

Luo Yu looked back at it.

Godzilla followed, muttered a "Hiss", and flicked its tail unhappily. Being pirated—it held a grudge.

Soon, Luo Yu walked to the titanium alloy composite armor door.

On it was printed the logo of the Eagle Country military, and a line of small print: genesis Protocol -- Level 7 authorization, for authorized personnel only.

The door was definitely locked. Locked from the inside.

Electromagnetic lock, mechanical lock, biometric authentication lock -- triple insurance.

Enough to withstand the continuous attack of a special forces unit of Awakeners for forty-eight hours.

Luo Yu stood in front of the door with his hands in his pants pockets, not intending to do it himself.

"Mothra."

"Chirp!"

Mothra flew up from his shoulder, restored to a size of about thirty meters. In the limited height of the underground space, she folded her wings, and her slender body hovered directly in front of the gate.

Spreading her wings, golden scales condensed at the wingtips, turning into a thin beam of light less than five centimeters in diameter -- Light Cutting.

The beam of light fell on the door. Three-meter-thick titanium alloy was no different from cheese.

Zzz! Zzz!

The beam of light drew a complete rectangle along the edge of the door. There were not many sparks, because the temperature of the cutting surface was too high, and the metal sublimated directly into a gaseous state the moment it made contact, without even a chance to splash.

Three seconds. The entire door, along with the door frame, was cut off as a whole. Dozens of tons of metal blocks fell inward.

Boom!!!

The lights inside the shelter were bright. The air conditioning system was still running, and the temperature was constant at 22 degrees.

Food supply cabinets, medical emergency stations, communication equipment, three folding beds, etc., were standard high-spec shelter configurations.

But none of the seventeen people inside noticed these. Because from the moment the door was cut open, all their attention was focused on the young man in casual clothes outside the door. And the little black Lizard at his feet.

Although the temperature of the air in the shelter had not changed, everyone felt cold, a kind of cold that seeped out from their bones.

"Doc... Doctor... that... the one outside..."

A young researcher in a white lab coat pointed to the direction of the door, his lips trembling so much that he couldn't even put together a complete sentence.

He had just seen everything that happened outside through the monitoring system inside the shelter. He saw every second.

That High-Dimensional Hunter's hand reached out and was blown through. The second hand reached out and was torn apart. The breath passed through the vortex and hit the other side, causing screams. The beacon shattered... the vortex disappeared.

From beginning to end, that shrunken version of the black Lizard hadn't even returned to its original form, yet it had blown up the arm of a 2000-meter-class high-dimensional creature, destroyed the spatial beacon, and closed the dimensional channel.

"It's over... everything is over..."

In the corner, Dr. William leaned against the wall.

Looking at him, his hair was as messy as a chicken coop, his eye sockets were deeply sunken, his lips were chapped, and his white coat was stained with coffee stains from who knows when.

Two hours ago, he was still spiritedly debugging the beacon parameters, planning to use the Titan clones to offer a "letter of submission" to the high-dimensional civilization. More importantly, he had envisioned countless possibilities: the High-Dimensional Hunter descending, accepting his gift, taking him into a higher world, granting him power that mortals could not reach...

He hadn't envisioned this one.

The High-Dimensional Hunter was beaten by Godzilla until it screamed. The Titan clones that had been cultivated for ten years were wiped into particles by a pulse. The spatial beacon built with his life's work was crushed under a foot.

And the person who created all this was standing at the door, looking calm and relaxed.

Luo Yu walked into the shelter. Godzilla followed behind, its little tail flicking.

"Quite warm."

Luo Yu looked around. Seventeen people.

Researchers in lab coats, mercenaries in black tactical gear, and a few who looked like they were from the financial circle... probably upstream of William's capital chain.

The mercenaries were the first to react. Six people, all SSS-Class Awakened.

Two of them had already thrown their weapons on the ground, and the remaining four were still holding guns, but the muzzles were pointing at the ground.

They were not stupid. Mercenaries who could be hired by William at a high price had brains that worked better than their hands and feet. They watched the whole process on the monitor. The Lizard outside could even make high-dimensional creatures cry for their fathers and mothers. Compared to others, these six SSS-Class were probably in the relationship of ants to the sun.

Raise the gun? It wouldn't be as pleasant as shooting themselves in the head directly.
