243: "Achuan, do you really want to set up a stall in this location? It feels so embarrassing!"

Clack.

The sound of the stand being propped up was very clear and crisp.

"A Chuan, do we really have to set up a stall here? It feels so embarrassing!"

Ding Xinyang felt a wave of shame every time he saw the 'watching a monkey show' look in the eyes of every passerby in a suit and tie.

"What's there to be ashamed of? Look how calm He Jingrui is. Learn from him; there will be many more such things in the future."

Lu Chuan was no longer the Lu Chuan he once was. After so many times setting up stalls, combined with the tempering of the battlefield, he was confident that his face was now as thick as a drill-proof plate.

Not to mention these passersby just looking back as they walked; even if so many people gathered in a circle, pointing and whispering, it wouldn't shake his state of mind in the slightest.

Ding Xinyang's mouth twitched as he looked at He Jingrui, who was staring blankly beside him.

Could He Jingrui's single-mindedness be something he could just learn?

After a while, he couldn't hold back anymore. He pointed at a few property security guards not far away, who had picked up steel forks, and said anxiously:

"No, the property security guards in the plaza are looking at us strangely. Are they going to drive us away?"

Lu Chuan heard this, looked up at the security guards, and saw that they were indeed approaching with serious expressions. He said in surprise:

"Hey, that's not right. Didn't Lin Wei say she had already made arrangements for us here?"

Ding Xinyang hesitated when he heard this, but still pointed to the plaza entrance a few meters directly behind him and said:

"She probably didn't expect you to set up a stall in such a 'core' location, right?"

Hearing this, Lu Chuan's hand, which was wiping the food cart, paused slightly, but he still forced a smile and said:

"Isn't it because I thought this spot was quite conspicuous? Look, even the foot traffic at the main entrance of the Financial Building can't compare to here."

...

Ding Xinyang silently wiped away cold sweat.

Just as the two were talking in low voices, the property security guards finally arrived.

"Hello, sir, no stalls are allowed here!"

Perhaps their salary determined their work attitude; even though they saw Lu Chuan and his companions as troublemakers, the security guards still spoke politely.

But seeing the steel forks tightly held in their hands, one knew they were playing the 'courtesy before force' game.

Lu Chuan looked at these security guards, who were ex-soldiers, and smiled:

"Please wait a moment, sirs. I'll make a call; it'll be quick."

With that, he picked up his phone and called Lin Wei, regardless of whether they were willing to wait.

It was almost an instant pick-up.

Lu Chuan was a little surprised, then enlightened.

It seemed the liaison's job responsibilities also included being on standby 24/7.

"Mr. Lu."

Lin Wei's voice rang out.

"It's like this, Miss Lin, could you please speak to the property management here again? I just set up my stall, and the security guards came to drive us away."

Lu Chuan got straight to the point.

"Hmm? Okay, Mr. Lu, please wait a moment. I'll ask."

Lin Wei's voice became a little surprised, and after saying this, she quickly hung up the phone.

Lu Chuan put away his phone, then smiled at the security guards.

The security guards had heard Lu Chuan and Lin Wei's entire conversation. At this moment, the older one among them was looking at Lu Chuan with a mix of belief and doubt.

But the youngest security guard burst out laughing.

"Oh, this..."

He looked at the food cart's sign and said with a wry smile:

"...Fried Rice Guy, don't tease me. How can a stall owner like you have such influence? Then why are you even setting up a stall?"

As he spoke, he casually slammed the steel fork in his hand onto the ground, making a soft thud.

"Alright, alright, stop messing around. Stalls really aren't allowed here. Hurry up and leave, so things don't get ugly later."

At this point, people who loved to watch a spectacle had already gathered around, pointing and whispering, laughing non-stop.

The oldest security guard grew anxious as more and more people gathered, fearing that their manager would see this scene and deduct their wages.

"Hurry up and leave. You're already like a monkey in a zoo; why are you still standing here?"

Lu Chuan waved his hand and smiled:

"Their eyes are on them; let them look if they want. It can even gain me some attention, isn't that better?"

The young security guard was astonished by Lu Chuan's thick skin and couldn't help but give him a thumbs up.

"Heh, if I had your spirit of not being afraid of making a fool of myself in public, I would have switched careers to become a streamer long ago."

Just then, a sharp-eyed security guard spotted their manager anxiously running from outside the crowd and immediately warned:

"Stop chatting! The manager's here. Brothers, hurry up and escort these three out!"

Hearing this, the security guards immediately became nervous and reached out to push the stall cart away.

But they couldn't move it at all, as if a thousand-pound boulder was pressing down on the stall cart.

The security guards looked at He Jingrui, who was holding the stall cart with one hand, in surprise. They tried again and found that it really wouldn't budge.

Just as they began to grit their teeth and exert force, a voice behind them urgently shouted:

"Hey, hey, hey, what are you guys doing? Let go, let go! I said let go, didn't you hear me?!"

The security guards looked back in surprise and saw their manager struggling to push through the crowd, his face filled with anxiety.

Not understanding the situation, they could only obediently step aside.

The manager glared at them, then jogged over to Lu Chuan, handing him a business card and smiling obsequiously:

"Oh, Mr. Lu! My surname is Liu, and I'm the property manager here. My subordinates truly have no eyes; they almost offended a great person like you! All the mistakes are ours, all of them. Please be magnanimous and don't take it to heart! It's not worth getting upset and harming your health! Rest assured, I will definitely give you a satisfactory explanation!"

With that, he was about to call the security guards over for a scolding.

"Hey, that's not necessary."

Lu Chuan had no interest in watching Manager Liu's performance and immediately waved his hand, smiling:

"They are diligent and responsible; there's no fault in them. Manager Liu, please don't blame them."

At this moment, Lu Chuan was in the position of the Party A's Dad dad (client/boss), and no matter what he said, Manager Liu would unconditionally agree.

"Mr. Lu is truly an exceptional person, so magnanimous. I am deeply impressed!"

Manager Liu immediately gave a thumbs up, then turned and reprimanded the security guards.

"You guys, why aren't you coming over to apologize and thank Mr. Lu?"

The security guards felt a wave of resentment, but they had no choice. They obediently walked in front of Lu Chuan, just as they were about to bow their heads and apologize one by one.

Lu Chuan quickly stepped out of the stall. He had a good impression of these diligent, responsible, and non-abusive security guards.

"Hey, I can't accept that, I can't accept that. Please don't do that."

Seeing Lu Chuan act this way, the security guards couldn't help but look at each other, then simultaneously looked at Manager Liu.

Manager Liu looked at this scene in surprise and realized that Lu Chuan was truly different from the powerful figures with deep backgrounds he had encountered. He genuinely didn't mind the security guards' confrontational behavior, and his hanging heart finally settled.

He quickly waved his hand, motioning for the security guards to go on patrol, then smiled again and said to Lu Chuan:

"Mr. Lu, this spot is so sunny. Shall I have someone bring you a sun umbrella and a chair later?"

Seeing Manager Liu's thoughtfulness, Lu Chuan secretly gave Lin Wei a thumbs up in his heart.
