122: Son of God——Qin Wangchuan!

He looked over and it was indeed his Second Brother, Qin Xuanji.

Qin Xuanji slowly stepped in, his gaze first lingering on the paper Clone for a moment, then he nodded slightly:

"The Zhao Family's Talisman Arts are indeed exquisite. Although I've also cultivated a secret art of paper figures, it wasn't designed for combat, so it's not worth mentioning."

"With your talent, mastering the Talisman Dao shouldn't be difficult."

He changed the subject, looking up at Qin Wangchuan: "Since you've come out of seclusion, prepare yourself."

Qin Wangchuan's eyebrows twitched slightly: "Prepare for what?"

"The position of God Son." Qin Xuanji's tone was calm, yet every word was clear: "Old Ancestor said to have us fight, and the winner will be the God Son. The date will be set later."

"Fight? Who can beat Big Brother?"

Upon hearing this, Qin Xuanji's lips curved into a half-smile. His gaze lingered on Qin Wangchuan for a moment, then he said leisurely: "Perhaps... Ninth Brother, you can beat him?"

Qin Wangchuan was startled for a moment, then shook his head and laughed softly:

"Me, beat Big Brother?"

It might be possible in the future, but right now... he would definitely be slapped to death.

Before he finished speaking, a white figure suddenly streaked over like a flowing cloud, arriving before him in an instant.

Qin Wangchuan looked up, his eyes reflecting a familiar yet slightly unfamiliar figure. He couldn't help but call out with a smile: "Jianwei."

Ye Jianwei's steps paused, and she stared at him in a daze.

After two years, Young Master seemed to have grown taller. His originally handsome features were even more defined, and the youthful awkwardness in his brows had faded, replaced by a touch of calm and composure.

He stood there, as if enveloped in a faint glow, making it impossible to look away.

Her heart warmed, and the myriad thoughts of longing and joy could no longer be suppressed. She nodded heavily in response, then couldn't help but fly into his arms, her voice filled with unconcealable excitement and choked emotion:

"Young Master!"

Seeing the two embracing, Qin Xuanji's eyes flashed with understanding, then he smiled faintly:

"The message has been delivered. I won't disturb you any further."

With that, he turned and left, his robes fluttering as he quietly disappeared beyond the courtyard gate.

Ye Jianwei then lifted her head from Qin Wangchuan's embrace, her cheeks slightly flushed, but she still clutched his sleeve, unwilling to let go, chattering about everything that had happened over the past two years.

She said her cultivation had greatly improved, and she had already challenged several famous strong cultivators in the clan.

She also said her Sword Intent had become increasingly solid, and she could now initially control some of the power of the Taichu Burial God Sword.

Finally, her eyes lit up, and her tone was joyful: "Oh, Young Master, since eating the sacrificial bone that day, Qiuqiu has grown so much! She's really majestic now!"

Before she finished speaking, a clear, long cry suddenly echoed from the Nine Heavens.

A brilliant golden light pierced through the clouds, and the swirling clouds were pushed aside by layers of scorching Qi waves.

A magnificent Golden Crow spread its giant wings, spanning over ten zhang. Nine-colored True Fire burned among its feathers, and its long tail trailed brilliant light trails, making the sky extraordinarily beautiful.

It cried out as it swooped down. As it approached the courtyard, it deftly reined in its flames, and its enormous body rapidly shrank amidst the flowing light. When it landed, it had transformed into a golden-feathered spiritual bird with a wingspan of two feet.

Although it lacked the sky-obscuring power from before, it was still vibrant, with nine-colored radiance subtly flowing among its feathers.

The little fellow lightly wrapped itself around Qin Wangchuan's neck, its warm body, soft like golden brocade, coiled around his shoulder. It rubbed affectionately against his cheek, emitting faint chirps.

Completely different from the earlier majestic power that could burn the sky and boil the sea, it now resembled a living, warm fur scarf, naturally and comfortably embracing its master.

Qin Wangchuan's eyes lit up, and he reached out to stroke its scorching feather crest: "Good fellow, you've indeed grown quite a bit."

Just as the room was bustling with activity, Qin Xuanji, who hadn't gone far from the courtyard, suddenly stopped.

As if sensing something, he looked up at the eaves, and a half-smile played on his lips.

High above, a snow-white Nine-tailed Fox lay lazily on the eaves, its nine fluffy long tails gently swaying.

Upon the fox's back, a Young Miss in a black and gold ornate dress leaned back lazily.

Golden cloud patterns flowed, outlining her graceful figure. The childishness of yesteryear had faded, and her face was as beautiful as a painting.

Her slender fingers casually played with the tip of the Nine-tailed Fox's tail, but her beautiful eyes were fixed on the courtyard. As her gaze lingered on Qin Wangchuan, she unconsciously pursed her cherry lips, revealing a complex expression of slight petulance and concern.

She was like a lotus just budding, still dewy, yet already possessing grace.

Qin Xuanji shook his head and laughed softly, thinking to himself: "This girl, she clearly cares a lot..."

"But what does that have to do with me?"

"Time for a show!"

In a flash, it was the day to determine the God Son.

Although it was nominally a selection, Qin Wangchuan knew perfectly well.

The position of God Son would undoubtedly be decided among the Eldest Young Master Qin Wudao, the Second Young Master Qin Xuanji, the Fourth Young Master Qin Kuangge, and the Fifth Young Miss Qin Qingzheng.

As for himself, he was merely going through the motions, fulfilling the formalities.

When Qin Wangchuan arrived at the training ground, he saw that the place was already bustling with people.

The grandstands around the training ground were filled with Disciples of the clan. The younger generation whispered to each other, occasionally glancing towards the main stage, their eyes full of anticipation and curiosity.

The various Elders were arranged on both sides, their expressions solemn.

In such an occasion, Grandfather Qin Fuhai naturally also attended. He wore a dark brocade robe, exuding an aura of authority without anger.

What was surprising was that none of the Young Masters and Young Misses who were supposed to participate in the selection were nowhere to be seen.

Only the rustling wind swept across the arena, fluttering the banners by the field, making the scene seem a bit strange for a moment.

"This is...?"

Qin Wangchuan looked at this scene, somewhat confused. Coincidentally, his teacher Qin Wenhe was nearby, so he went to ask.

Qin Wenhe stroked his beard and shook his head, but his eyes held a knowing smile. He lowered his voice and said: "This Old Man doesn't know... I'm not in the know."

After speaking, his gaze subtly swept over the empty high platform, a meaningful curve on his lips.

Qin Wangchuan looked at the empty training ground and suddenly remembered the simulated memories from before.

"Wait, Ye Jianwei's simulation seemed to mention that the Qin Family's God Son..."

"Is me?"

As he thought this, his heart skipped a beat, and he immediately understood why he was the only one present.

He had been set up!

While he was pondering, a deep and authoritative announcement suddenly came from the main stage:

"Since no one has ascended the stage, this Old Man announces—" Grandfather Qin Fuhai's voice boomed like a bell, echoing throughout the entire training ground, "—that today, Ninth Young Master Qin Wangchuan is hereby appointed as the God Son, to carry out the will of Heaven!"

"All other Young Masters shall be demoted to Dao Children."

As the voice fell, the entire audience was first silent, then erupted into a flurry of discussions.

Qin Wangchuan looked up in astonishment, only to see his Grandfather's gaze, sharp as lightning, fixed on him, carrying an undeniable meaning.

At the same time, from a tall pavilion in the distance, several figures leaned on the railing, gazing into the distance, taking in the scene in the training ground.

Qin Qingni lightly furrowed her delicate brows, her slender fingers twirling a strand of her hair, her tone carrying a hint of reluctance:

"Ninth Brother just came out of seclusion. Is it really alright for us to trick him like this?"
