77: The magical weapon, Dragon Silk

“Qin Wangchuan.” Lu Chen nodded, not at all surprised that he could arrive here.

“It seems those Dragon-severing Stones truly couldn’t stop you.”

“You mean the mechanisms in the passage?” Qin Wangchuan looked around dismissively, his slender fingers casually tapping his eye socket. “For every lock, there’s a key. It’s just a matter of finding the right place.”

His gaze swept over the Dragon-shaped statues around them, a hint of playfulness flashing in his eyes. “Just like now, didn’t you lead me here?”

“Thanks.”

Lu Chen’s golden pupils contracted sharply—behind this seemingly casual greeting lay a deadly trap.

However, that was before.

“Qin Wangchuan, I know you’re very strong, and your background is terrifying.” Lu Chen’s golden pupils gradually brightened, but his voice was terrifyingly calm: “So I don’t want to make things irreversible.”

“Return the small cauldron to me, and I’ll let bygones be bygones.”

“I also don’t want to kill indiscriminately.” Qin Wangchuan nodded with a slight smile. “Leave now, and give me the Opportunity here. I can pretend I never saw you.”

“Between Opportunity and life, life is definitely more important.”

After saying that, he looked deeply at Lu Chen: “However, that should be impossible, right?”

“Of course—”

Lu Chen paused as he spoke, and the entire altar suddenly trembled violently.

A hundred Dragon-shaped stone statues simultaneously opened their blood-red eyes, their stony bodies emitting an ear-splitting cracking sound. The surface stone skin flaked off, revealing the dark-gold Dragon scales of their true form.

“Roar—!”

Amidst deafening Dragon roars, the stone statues transformed into a hundred dark-gold giant Dragons, soaring into the sky.

At the same time, the altar floor surged like waves, and countless Dragon-scale-shaped floor tiles shot out, forming a sky-obscuring killing array in mid-air.

Lu Chen stood in the center of the Dragon array, Qin Wangchuan’s figure reflected in his golden pupils, his voice bone-chillingly cold:

“Since there’s nothing to discuss, then you can die here!”

After speaking, he ignored what kind of tragic scene would appear behind him and instead walked with burning eyes towards the golden-glowing Dragon-scale egg in the center of the altar.

“Dragon-scale Treasure Armor…” Lu Chen’s breathing rose and fell in sync with the Dragon egg’s golden glow. “Only this item… can bear the weight of the Dragon Gauze.”

“So that’s how it is.”

A familiar voice suddenly sounded in his ear, so close he could almost feel the warmth of a breath.

Lu Chen’s pupils contracted sharply—Qin Wangchuan had, at some unknown point, stood half a step beside him, looking up with him.

“Is it called ‘Dragon Gauze’?” Qin Wangchuan tilted his head slightly, a faint curve on his lips. He held the small bronze cauldron that originally belonged to Lu Chen in one hand, sighing, “A good name.”

Those dark-gold giant Dragons, which should have been annihilating everything, completely ignored him, allowing him to walk through the killing array as if strolling through a garden.

‘Something’s wrong with the stone statues?!’ He turned his head sharply, seeing that the Qin Family members had already begun fighting the giant Dragons.

If there was no problem with the stone statues, then there was a problem with Qin Wangchuan!

Then, Qin Wangchuan enlightened him.

“It’s just that your guardian stone statues aren’t very smart.” Qin Wangchuan looked back at the dark-gold giant Dragons, his tone devoid of any emotion, “They seem to identify anything with Dragon Qi as their kin.”

Lu Chen subconsciously spoke, “Where did you get Dragon Qi…?”

He suddenly froze as he spoke.

Only to see Dragon scales faintly appearing around Qin Wangchuan’s body.

“You ate… a Dragon heart?”

Before he finished speaking, Qin Wangchuan’s index finger gently pressed against his temple, a cold sword glow emanating from his fingertip.

Lu Chen’s muscles instantly tensed.

He could feel a dangerous power condensing at Qin Wangchuan’s fingertip, capable of piercing through his brain in an instant.

“It seems you’ve recovered your memories…”

Qin Wangchuan’s lingering words were still trembling in the air when Lu Chen’s golden pupils suddenly contracted to the size of a needle tip—

“Pfft!”

A golden glow shot out from Qin Wangchuan’s fingertip, instantly piercing through the Void Realm.

Lu Chen’s vision suddenly froze.

He saw his own blood droplet suspended three inches from his nose, and on its crystal-clear curved surface, Qin Wangchuan’s perpetually smiling handsome face was reflected.

“Then, I cannot keep you.”

After this low whisper, which sounded like a sigh of regret, the blood droplet finally splattered onto the green brick with a ‘pat’ sound, breaking into twelve petals of crimson flowers.

Lu Chen had thought Qin Wangchuan would be wary of the Opportunity.

At least he wouldn’t make a move before finding the ‘Dragon Gauze’—but he never expected that this person wouldn’t hesitate for even a moment!

He would never understand, even in death, that Qin Wangchuan actually knew everything long ago.

The hundred dark-gold giant Dragons, having lost their master, suddenly froze and turned back into stone statues.

Even though he was a Son of Luck, he had, after all, hesitated for half his life in the great mountains, and was no match for Qin Wangchuan in a single encounter.

If he hadn’t recovered his memories, Qin Wangchuan might have kept Lu Chen around for a bit of fun.

But an ancient Dragon Son who had recovered his memories was too unpredictable.

And Qin Wangchuan couldn’t shake the feeling that after killing Lu Chen, something seemed to have been added to his own body.

‘Is this Luck?’

Qin Wangchuan scoffed softly, slowly walking towards the Dragon-scale egg in the center of the altar.

As his fingertip brushed over the golden patterns flowing on the surface of the Dragon-scale egg, the eggshell actually emitted a cracking sound of unbearable strain the moment he touched it.

With a crack.

The Dragon-scale egg shattered, transforming into pieces of Dragon scales that covered Qin Wangchuan’s body.

He could feel it.

The hardness of these Dragon scales was not only several times greater than the Dragon scales he had obtained after consuming the Dragon heart earlier, but they also possessed a certain special function.

“You’ve been busy all day just for this thing?” Qin Zhao’er walked over, panting, feeling very displeased in her heart.

Those stone statues, as ancient relics, were still very strong; even she found them difficult to deal with.

Only Fourth Brother could resist them easily.

“Of course not.” Qin Wangchuan touched the Treasure Armor on his body, then his gaze swept over the walls around the altar.

If he guessed correctly, there should be a secret passage nearby that leads directly to another Dragon cocoon, which is the ‘Dragon Gauze’.

Sure enough, under the gaze of the Heavenly Evolution Divine Eye, a symbol appeared on a part of the wall.

The moment his fingertip touched the symbol, the entire stone wall suddenly rippled like water, revealing a deep passage.

The Dragon-shaped carvings on both sides of the passage lit up one after another, the golden glow flickering in their Dragon eyes illuminating the path ahead.

“Pack up Lu Chen’s corpse and all those stone statues and bring them back to the Qin Family.”

After giving the order, Qin Wangchuan and his group walked into the passage and arrived at the side hall.

At the end was a huge space, but from a distance, it appeared empty.

As Qin Wangchuan approached the Dragon cocoon with the small bronze cauldron in hand, a sudden change occurred—

The small cauldron suddenly trembled violently, and the ancient patterns on its body lit up one by one, transforming into golden rays that shot into the Void Realm.

In the center of the side hall, which had originally been empty, layers of spatial ripples suddenly emerged, slowly receding like a torn curtain.

As the spatial Restriction was completely lifted, the sealed Dragon cocoon finally revealed its true form.

Curled within the cocoon was a young girl, with skin like snow, hair like ink, and a single crimson scale on her brow, both exotic and beautiful. Her eyes were tightly closed, as if in deep sleep, and with each breath, the Dragon Qi within the cocoon surged, washing over the surrounding space like a tide.

The Dragon-scale Treasure Armor obtained earlier spontaneously appeared the moment it approached the girl, each scale resonating and trembling with her, as if preparing for a welcome.

“So that’s how it is…” A flash of understanding appeared in Qin Wangchuan’s eyes. “The small cauldron is the key, and the Dragon-scale Armor is the token.”

At this point, he couldn’t help but marvel at the wisdom of his ancestors.

“To obtain such a supreme treasure actually requires three validations: person, cauldron, and armor.”

“But even so, it still fell into my hands.”

It wasn’t that Lu Chen and the ancestors were too foolish, but rather that the simulation was too abnormal!

Qin Wangchuan placed his palm on the surface of the Dragon cocoon, and the Dragon-scale Treasure Armor immediately burst forth with dazzling golden light, resonating strongly with the breathing of the girl within the cocoon.

“Buzz—”

The entire side hall suddenly trembled.

The girl slowly opened her eyes, her golden vertical pupils looking directly at Qin Wangchuan, the crimson scale on her brow shining brightly.

“You’ve come…” The girl’s voice was ethereal and distant, yet carried the unique majesty of the ancient Dragon Clan.

As if she had traversed endless years, finally waiting for this moment.

Qin Wangchuan’s lips curved slightly, his gaze as calm as water: “I have come.”

No sooner had he spoken than the girl’s breathing within the cocoon suddenly quickened, the Dragon Qi surged like a tide, and fine cracks spread across the cocoon’s surface like a spiderweb.

The next moment.

The girl’s body suddenly dematerialized, transforming into a dark-gold Dragon pattern that spiraled up Qin Wangchuan’s arm like a Dragon returning to its nest.

The Dragon-scale Treasure Armor, as if summoned, automatically transformed into a black inner armor, perfectly merging with the flowing light.

“Swish!”

The golden light gradually receded, and Qin Wangchuan’s original clothes disappeared, replaced by a black robe with golden Dragon patterns—

A lifelike dark-gold True Dragon coiled up from the lapel, its Dragon head proudly perched on his right shoulder, its Dragon tail wrapped around his left wrist. The Dragon pattern was not inanimate; each scale slightly opened and closed with his breath, exhaling a suffocating Dragon might.

Vaguely, a low Dragon roar seemed to echo in the Void Realm, shaking one’s Divine Soul.

Before the Dragon roar ceased, a vast, ocean-like cultivation suddenly surged into Qin Wangchuan’s body.

That was the power the girl had accumulated during her endless years of waiting, now completely merging with him.

Realm barriers were shattered one after another like thin paper, spiritual energy surged and roared through his Meridians, and every inch of his flesh and blood underwent a transformation under the tempering of Dragon Qi.

He could clearly feel his Realm ascending rapidly!

Just as the spiritual energy within Qin Wangchuan was about to break through the last barrier, a chill suddenly ran down his neck.

“Oh?”

A clear, cold female voice echoed in his Sea of Consciousness, like an ice spring flowing over hot magma.

Yu Niang awoke from her slumber, her tone carrying a rare astonishment: “If you Breakthrough now, won’t you cut off your path to the Celestial Realm?”
