270: The terrifying origin of the Heavenly Suspension Silk, and the fact that I obtained two at once!

As the white light dissipated, Qin Wangchuan found himself within a magnificent stone hall.

The hall’s high ceiling was adorned with ancient totems carved into its walls, and the floor was covered with a thick layer of dust.

On both sides, mountains of gold and jewels gleamed with a vulgar luster in the dim light, and countless ownerless Magic Treasures lay scattered, some even half-buried in the dust—evidently untouched for centuries.

After all, no one would have imagined that at the crossroads of the left and right paths, there was a third path leading to this forgotten treasure vault.

Qin Wangchuan surveyed his surroundings. His gaze swept past these treasures, which Mortals could only dream of, and walked directly into the depths of the main hall.

These worldly riches and ordinary Magic Treasures were, to him, nothing but useless clutter.

He had only one goal.

“Heavenly Silk…”

That item was somewhere in here.

But there was no rush.

For the next few days, the core of this Secret Realm belonged to him alone.

Deeper within the hall was an even more ancient treasure vault.

Unlike the outside, every artifact here floated in mid-air, emitting a faint glow.

Qin Wangchuan walked slowly through it, his gaze indifferently sweeping over ancient relics.

The most striking was a peculiar tree on the left, covered in blue-black scales, like a living creature, its scales gleaming with a metallic, cold luster in the dim light.

“Azure Dragon Scale Wood,” he murmured, his fingertips brushing against the tree trunk, which was harder than fine steel. “Better than Mortal wood, but compared to True Dragon scales… it’s a hundred and eight thousand miles apart.”

Continuing forward, he saw a suspended bronze battle armor, its surface shimmering with starlight.

“Star Battle Armor.” Qin Wangchuan didn’t even look at it, passing it by directly: “Not even half as good as Dragon Gauze.”

Finally, his steps halted before a white jade lotus pedestal.

Upon the pedestal, a crystalline lotus floated serenely, its petals formed from pure flame, and at the center of the lotus pod, a golden-red essence pulsed like a beating heart.

“Jade Maiden Fire Lotus.” He extended his index finger, and the seemingly fervent flame gently coiled around his fingertip, not harming him in the slightest. “This thing is still decent. I’ll take it back for Qiu Qiu as a snack; she should like it.”

Thus, he critiqued each item, then discarded it.

These supreme treasures, enough to drive the outside world into a frenzy, were nothing but useless decorations in Qin Wangchuan’s eyes.

The useful ones were either beautiful in appearance and could be given away.

Or they could be given to Qiu Qiu as a snack.

Until he reached the deepest part of the treasure vault—

Here was the base of an incredibly grand cylindrical giant tower.

The interior of the giant tower was hollow, its walls spiraling upwards, inscribed with ancient runes, as if the entire magnificent structure existed solely to support and enshrine the single object at its center.

An ancient bronze lamp quietly rested in the center of the tower’s base.

The moment he clearly saw the object before him, a subtle ripple of emotion passed through him.

Within the lamp, there was no oil or wick, only a single, hair-thin, almost transparent thread, floating ethereally from the lamp’s heart, rising straight upwards.

He raised his head, his gaze following the thread upwards—the thread pierced through the entire central axis of the giant tower, steadfastly pointing towards the tower’s summit, invisible to the naked eye, and even further into the distant Void Realm.

The spiraling structure within the tower seemed endless; his gaze pursued the thread, plunging into the profound darkness above, yet he could not see its end.

Faint spatial ripples emanated from around the thread, as if it itself was the sole coordinate maintaining this world.

“So that’s it…”

Qin Wangchuan whispered softly, with a sigh of understanding.

“This is the Heavenly Silk.”

“It lives up to its name.”

He slowly extended his right hand, his fingertip reaching directly for the seemingly ethereal thread suspended above the lamp.

However, the anticipated cool, silky touch did not come.

His fingertip, in fact, touched a hard yet warm object.

He saw that in his hand was an dark-gold booklet, made of an unknown material, warm to the touch and with an inwardly contained radiance.

Feeling carefully, a cool, coiling sensation came from his wrist.

His gaze fell, and he saw that the “Heavenly Silk” that had originally pierced through heaven and earth had, at some unknown point, coiled around his right wrist as if possessing a spirit.

He flexed his wrist; it was neither tight nor loose, and he felt no discomfort.

This thing was not simple.

After opening the golden booklet, Qin Wangchuan learned the Origin of this item.

This object was no ordinary thing, but a Dao thread, weaving worlds.

In ancient times, this item had triggered a turmoil that swept across the Three Thousand Continents.

The first Secret Realm Master had acquired it by chance, but despite a lifetime of effort, he could not fully comprehend all its mysteries. The text in the booklet revealed the original owner’s deep unwillingness and regret.

However, the few uses initially discovered were already Heaven-Defying.

Firstly: Cutting.

When the thread was extended to its maximum, its unparalleled sharpness could silently sever all things; breaking metal and cracking stone was merely trivial.

Secondly: Traversing.

By stepping on the thread and controlling its shortening and lengthening with thought, one could achieve the miraculous effect of “shrinking the ground into inches,” making distant places seem near.

Upon seeing this, a flash of understanding crossed Qin Wangchuan’s eyes.

This effect was indeed remarkably similar to the “Supreme Void Step” he had previously used.

But the key was—

The booklet clearly stated that this thread could theoretically extend infinitely!

As the user’s Realm improved and their comprehension of the Law of space deepened, its power would also increase infinitely.

Ultimately, it could even connect multiple Realms, anchor all directions, and even cut through the Void Realm to reshape territories!

“Infinite extension… connecting a Realm…”

Qin Wangchuan murmured, finally understanding why the first Secret Realm Master had been so persistent, and why he had left such a grand project to enshrine this item.

This was no ordinary Magic Treasure, but a divine object that touched upon the Origin rules of the world.

“And the key is, I have two of these things!”

As his mind moved, silently reciting the incantation he had just learned from the booklet, the ball of golden thread he had obtained from the simulation in his embrace now seemed to have been infused with a Soul.

“Buzz—”

With a slight tremor, the golden thread flew out on its own, floating before him alongside the golden thread on his hand.

Qin Wangchuan’s mind stirred slightly.

The two suspended golden threads suddenly extended, drawing two intersecting arcs in the air like spiritual snakes, flashing past silently.

The next moment, a chilling “hissing” sound belatedly echoed.

The magnificent spiral tower wall, reinforced with ancient Formations, was instantly cut into several massive broken sections, as if sliced by a hot knife through butter.

Losing its structural support, they collapsed and plummeted into the abyss below with a dull roar, engulfed in a cloud of dust.

The entire process was abnormally fast; the extreme sharpness displayed by the golden threads completely ignored the Formation’s defenses.

“Not bad, it’s a good thing.”

Qin Wangchuan looked at this scene and nodded in satisfaction.

Immediately, his mind moved again.

The two golden threads that had just displayed terrifying power instantly retracted all their radiance and sharpness, returning abruptly like tired birds to their nest.

The two golden threads deftly coiled behind his head, neatly tying up his dark hair.

His previously somewhat languid aura, due to his exploration, now, with this contrast, gained an indescribable sense of detachment and majesty.

Qin Wangchuan took one last look at the core of this Secret Realm, now in ruins, completely ignoring the massive falling rocks above.

Then, light and shadow flickered behind him, and the Grand Void Divine Feathers suddenly unfolded.

The divine feather gently vibrated, not stirring up a gale, but silently carving a deep fissure in the Void Realm before him, like the sharpest blade.

He stepped into it, and his figure instantly vanished.

The next moment, the spatial fissure closed, and there was no trace of him left, only the hollow echo of the collapsing giant tower’s roar.
