477: Chapter 477 Emperors rise from mortals, and immortals also rise from mortals.
After Yun Zexuan finished listening, his brows furrowed.
"The idea of recasting it is good, but it's very difficult."
"If you want, I can tell you the methods and tricks for forging this Magical Artifact."
"Besides that, my Yun Family has many other forging techniques, some of which even I can't access—you have a lot of Face, so you could go take a look; it might be helpful."
He paused, suddenly remembering something.
"So, you can't use Borrowing Laws right now, and you can't see the future either?"
Qin Wangchuan nodded.
"Future Sight is indeed formed by relying on the wheel of fate's deductions after absorbing Luck."
"It isn't 'seeing' per se, but directly deducing the future."
"Having lost that ability, there are indeed many things I'm not used to."
"In that case!"
Yun Zexuan held up the wreckage in his hand, his eyes lighting up. "We can complete this Magic Treasure together!"
Back when Zhao Lingyun and Qin Wangchuan tinkered with the dao pivot weapon, he had been thinking:
Perhaps he could call Qin Wangchuan to tinker with something together.
And wasn't this the perfect opportunity?
Qin Wangchuan, however, shook his head.
"I don't plan on relying on Magical Artifacts; I want to regain my Future Sight through Acquired training."
The explosion of the wheel of fate made him realize that Magical Artifacts were, after all, just external forces.
Before, it was because he was too weak that he could only borrow from the outside.
But now, it was time to seek from within.
Yun Zexuan was stunned.
"Is that even possible?"
Hearing this, Qin Wangchuan glanced at him with a smile.
"I've heard that phrase many times already."
"Whether it's possible or not, one only knows after trying."
Yun Zexuan lowered his head, his gaze falling on the twisted wreckage in his hand, lost in thought.
Passing through several corridors, Qin Wangchuan was led into a side hall.
The hall doors were wide open, and several figures could be vaguely seen inside.
He stepped inside.
As soon as he entered, he saw Yun Qingyao.
She still looked the same.
Dressed in snow-white clothes, her Face was peerlessly elegant, and she was surrounded by a coldness that warned others to stay away.
She just sat there like an immobile jade statue, without even a flicker of emotion in her eyes.
Besides Yun Qingyao, there were several elders in the hall.
Three men and one woman sat at the head of the hall, their gazes all landing on him at once.
Those gazes were filled with scrutiny, appraisal, and an indefinable sentiment.
Qin Wangchuan's steps paused slightly.
'They don't come with good intentions.'
He thought to himself, but his expression remained calm as he walked in composedly.
After some brief pleasantries, someone spoke.
It was an old man sitting in the main seat.
He had white hair and a white beard, a lean Face, but his eyes were exceptionally sharp.
"Wangchuan," he began, his voice neither fast nor slow, "I heard you said some strange things to our Qingyao?"
Qin Wangchuan's brow arched slightly; so it was about this.
He didn't rush to answer. His gaze swept across the Face of the Yun Family elder who had spoken, then over the others, before finally retracting. A slight curve appeared at the corner of his mouth:
"Is this an interrogation?"
The people in the room were slightly taken aback and looked at each other.
The eyes of the only female elder, Yun Lingge, lit up.
Interesting.
This kid wasn't intimidated at all; he tried to seize the initiative right from the start.
"How could this be an interrogation?" she said with a smile. "We're just asking casually."
"Casually is fine then."
Qin Wangchuan paused, then looked up, fearlessly meeting their gazes:
"I've been standing for a while and don't even have a seat. I thought I was being interrogated."
Yun Lingge was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"What are you standing around for? Bring a seat."
A chair was brought, and Qin Wangchuan sat down composedly, adding:
"Also."
"She's hungry. Get some food."
The group was stunned.
She?
Who?
Just then.
A beam of light separated from Qin Wangchuan's body.
It landed and transformed into a petite figure.
It was a girl as cute as a porcelain doll, one hand pulling on Qin Wangchuan's arm and the other rubbing her little belly.
Dragon Gauze.
She was hungry.
"She's quite adorable."
Yun Lingge instructed those outside, "Go prepare some snacks."
Dragon Gauze blinked, looking at Yun Lingge and then at Qin Wangchuan.
Qin Wangchuan patted her head. "Call her Auntie Lingge."
"Auntie Lingge."
Yun Lingge's eyes curved into crescents as she responded readily.
After this little interlude, the atmosphere in the hall lightened up quite a bit.
Yun Wuyi stroked his beard and smiled. "I've long heard that a True Dragon follows the Qin Divine Son. Seeing her today, she's actually like this."
"She's not a True Dragon," Qin Wangchuan shook his head. "She's Dragon Gauze."
Yun Wuyi was slightly startled, then nodded. "Dragon Gauze... a good name."
Yun Lingge's gaze circled Qin Wangchuan; the more she looked, the more satisfied she became.
He had the bearing of a Divine Son, yet he wasn't distant or arrogant.
That "Auntie Lingge" just now had made her feel quite pleased.
No wonder Qiuying said he was her pride.
He was indeed something to be proud of.
Thinking of Yun Qiuying, she asked casually, "By the way, where's your mother? Didn't you agree to come together?"
"Something came up at the last minute, so she was delayed."
Qin Wangchuan's tone was flat but held a sense of certainty. "But it's fine. I can handle it alone."
Hearing this, Yun Lingge exchanged glances with the others, the smile in her eyes deepening.
This child is indeed capable.
The topic unknowingly drifted back to Yun Qingyao.
Yun Lingge sighed, speaking with a mix of helplessness and amusement. "Wangchuan, you have no idea—"
"Ever since Qingyao returned, she's been constantly saying, 'Wangchuan said' this and 'Wangchuan said' that."
As she spoke, she glanced at her daughter.
Yun Qingyao remained the same, dressed in snow-white with a faint expression, as if they weren't talking about her.
However, she suddenly spoke up and corrected her:
"Not constantly."
She paused.
"I only said it eight times."
The elders were stunned.
Then they burst into laughter.
"Did you hear what she said?" The old man who spoke earlier slapped his thigh. "Still 'only said it eight times'!"
"Is eight times considered few?"
"This girl has no self-awareness!"
Yun Qingyao frowned slightly, her gaze sweeping across their Faces, seemingly not understanding what they were laughing at.
Qin Wangchuan watched this scene with a smile.
He could roughly understand.
Yun Qingyao spoke very little; normally, if she could use one word, she wouldn't use two.
Having mentioned his name eight times, in their eyes, the misunderstanding was probably huge.
But he didn't feel like he had said anything wrong.
The laughter gradually died down, and the topic finally landed on the main point.
Yun Lingge restrained her smile and said seriously, "Wangchuan, we've heard the things you said to Qingyao."
"No human is perfect, and even Heaven has flaws."
She repeated the phrase, her gaze complex.
"There's nothing wrong with those words, but..."
"But you think it's incorrect."
Qin Wangchuan took over the conversation, his gaze meeting the elders' squarely. "Because she has an immortal body."
Yun Wuyi nodded, his tone heavy and slow. "Heaven having flaws is about Heaven, and no human being perfect is about humans."
"Qingyao is neither Heaven nor a human—she has an immortal body."
"She should, and must, move toward perfection."
Hearing this, Qin Wangchuan looked up at him without backing down an inch.
"Emperors rise from mortals, and Immortals rise from mortals too."
A single sentence.
It was spoken with powerful resonance.
The hall fell silent.
Yun Wuyi and Yun Zexuan, who were standing outside, both froze.
Light flickered in Yun Lingge's eyes.
Even the white-clothed girl, who had always maintained a faint expression, slightly turned her head to glance at Qin Wangchuan.
Meeting those gazes, Qin Wangchuan continued:
"An immortal body is still a human."
"I believe it is wrong to force perfection upon her."
"Perfection is not a result; it is a process."
"It's about having every step be on the right path, not about every step being unable to make a mistake."
