218: Chapter 218 Tedious Duties

Although Su Nange arrived at the company on time every day, after a round of signing documents, he was basically just a mascot.

This was just fine. The company made money as usual, and he still had to go into GTA to make money.

However, that's just how this game was; the early-game grind was quite satisfying.

But in the late game, if there wasn't the chaotic crossfire from the freaks and monsters in the lobby, just mindlessly doing errands was actually quite dull.

Su Nange started to admire those top-tier players. How on earth could they keep at it day after day for years?

Although he knew this game made money, spending several hours grinding every day was really starting to feel beyond his capacity now.

Su Nange complained, but every time that payout screen showing the greenbacks arriving appeared, it was still quite delightful.

Right now, he was driving a long cargo truck, delivering goods to his warehouse.

As long as he reached the destination smoothly, he would earn $2.2 million.

However, just as he passed by the FIB building, sirens suddenly blared all around him!

Su Nange was stunned. What was going on? In a normal game, how could such a large number of police appear? And they were even in the middle of a chase?

So, Su Nange quickly drove the truck to the destination, taking advantage of the fact that the siren sounds hadn't disappeared in the distance yet.

He immediately summoned the tyrant 2 and darted straight into the sky. Before long, he caught up with those police cars.

Su Nange looked down and finally understood.

It turned out to be Michael and Franklin, who were in the middle of their main storyline mission. They had been discovered while infiltrating the FIB building to destroy evidence.

Su Nange was in the air, looking down from above. Seeing the two of them fleeing in a panic in their car, he couldn't help but laugh.

Watching the game's protagonists in such a sorry state was actually quite amusing.

However, since he had run into them, he might as well help them out.

Besides, it was a good chance to test out the tyrant 2's homing missiles!

The tyrant 2's fire-control radar emitted a rapid "beep-beep-beep-beep" sound.

Su Nange pressed the launch button. He felt as if a homing missile had just been fired from between his own legs.

It headed straight for those police cars.

In an instant, the ground was filled with overturned cars and people.

Franklin, who was driving, was overjoyed. He hadn't expected to run into a good Samaritan here.

Michael poked his head out and saw a flying vehicle in the sky.

After they escaped the police, Su Nange slowly landed beside Michael and Franklin.

He hadn't expected that after focusing on his own career, their plotline had actually progressed to this point.

Next up should be the biggest heist, the Union Depository final heist.

And after that, the three of them would have to face the final choice.

Although it didn't matter to him how they chose.

But Su Nange still felt that if he could influence them, he should try his best to have them choose option C, "The Third Way."

He didn't want Trevor to die. Of course, Michael and Franklin also carried his feelings for this game.

Judging by the current progress, Trevor should have just confronted Michael and temporarily buried the hatchet.

Su Nange couldn't talk to them, so he just listened to Michael and Franklin thanking him for stepping in this time and helping them escape the pursuit.

Furthermore, Michael said he owed Su Nange a favor and could help him complete one errand for free!

Su Nange thought this seemed pretty good.

So, he returned to his apartment.

Su Nange hadn't spent his money on buying real estate in Los Santos, nor had he bought those supercars.

Instead, he had just acquired a facility and an Avenger.

Then, he kept about $20 million on hand, enough to upgrade the terrorbyte's super-energy reactor at any time.

Su Nange went to the apartment's operations room and looked through the available errands to see if any were suitable for bringing these protagonists along.

Suddenly, a research lab located in the San Chianski Mountain Range in Blaine County piqued Su Nange's interest.

He had rarely done this errand before because the name of this godforsaken place made him not want to touch it.

That was the famous team mission in GTA, "The Humanity Laboratory Raid."

In GTA, the Humanity Laboratory was outwardly a company that produced perfume and daily skincare products.

But behind the scenes, this laboratory was secretly conducting research on nerve gas and biochemical agents.

The goal of this errand was to require players to infiltrate the interior and seize chemical weapon data and neurotoxins.

The maximum reward was $500,000.

The reward looked okay, but it required a four-person team, and damn it, it had to be a full four-person team starting from the setup missions.

Moreover, this oppressive laboratory was protected by the most powerful armed force in GTA 5, Merryweather.

Once a gunfight broke out, it would all be in narrow, winding indoor spaces.

Therefore, ever since the Cayo Perico Island expansion came out, no players were willing to bother with this time-consuming and labor-intensive errand.

Not to mention Su Nange, who couldn't afford to die?

But today, Su Nange really didn't want to continue grinding other missions.

If the protagonist group accompanied him, he would be willing to challenge this place.

No sooner said than done, Su Nange immediately opened the team interface and pulled all three protagonists in.

Trevor, Michael, and Franklin met in Su Nange's home for the first time.

Without Lester's introduction, Su Nange personally commanded this mission.

Trevor and Michael both had a very good impression of Su Nange. Franklin had even fewer objections.

After discussing it, the four of them quickly set off.

In the setup mission to steal the keycards, Su Nange and Trevor infiltrated, Franklin was responsible for driving, and Michael was responsible for keeping watch.

With Su Nange's current skill level, it was naturally easy and pleasant, and they finished it quickly.

Next, stealing the Insurgent armored vehicle was a bit difficult. It required a fierce gunfight to break out at the Merryweather docks.

Trevor said that Su Nange and Michael were good shots, so he asked them to set up and block the enemies from the outside.

While he and Franklin rushed in to seize the Insurgent directly!

Once the Insurgent was secured, they wouldn't have to fear any machine guns or bullets.

Su Nange had no objections, so he and Michael held their assault rifles and engaged in a gunfight with the armed security guards.

Su Nange's marksmanship was top-notch, and after upgrading the assault rifle in his hand to MK2, its power increased significantly.

However, he discovered that Michael, who was beside him, was actually no weaker than him.

This middle-aged man in a suit was scoring headshots with every single bullet.

Su Nange remembered that this guy had a "mini eagle eye." Wasn't Michael's exclusive skill called "Bullet Time"?

Sure enough, as they fought, Su Nange heard the long-lost system prompt again.

"Congratulations to player Su Nange for learning the Bullet Time skill. Current level is Beginner: Duration 10 seconds!"

That was it?

Su Nange immediately tried using it. The moment he activated it, he felt as if time had stood still.

The bullets fired from the opponent's muzzle actually looked like slow motion in his eyes.

The bullet heads, trailing long wakes, were clearly visible.

And Su Nange felt he had plenty of time to aim. Only after the holographic sight confirmed he was locked onto the enemy's head did Su Nange pull the trigger.

A bullet's trajectory was also in slow motion, sinking right into a head in the distance.

Su Nange was excited; wasn't this the "Absolute Domain"?

Even though he had known about Michael's skill before, using it now with the boundary gap glasses felt completely different.

This was shooting, but what if he used it in hand-to-hand combat? Wouldn't the opponent's every move look like a weak point in his eyes?

Thus, this battle, for Su Nange and Michael, actually wasn't as difficult as imagined.

Franklin was also very smooth on his end, driving the Insurgent to pick the two of them up.

The next two setup missions were also mostly about retrieving specific items.

One was the EMP device, used to cut off the Humanity Laboratory's power supply system.

And the other was the Valkyrie helicopter.

These two setup missions were considered quite troublesome and extremely difficult in the whole of GTA.

The four people had to coordinate in the air and on the ground separately.

Su Nange felt fortunate that it was these three protagonists together. If he had run into those random groups before, he probably wouldn't have been able to finish these long, stinking setup missions in one night.

Su Nange thought to himself that he would never complain about other missions being a grind again.

This Humanity Laboratory was simply a nightmare.
