221: Chapter 221 Five Goals
The grouping for Asgard Pact was still ongoing.
Lucifer: "Next is Team 5. Death Toll and Demon Dog. Code name: 'Dirge of the Death Hunt'."
This was the violent combination of Asgard Pact's No. 9 and No. 13!
Lucifer: "Alright, finally, Team 6: Bone Messenger and Cold Hunt! Code name: 'Frostbone Pursuit'."
Bone Messenger's nationality and gender were unknown. He never spoke and wore a bone mask all day. He looked quite terrifying.
He had a habit: for every person he killed, he would leave behind a bone carving as compensation and to offer salvation for the deceased.
On the Black List, he was ranked 10th!
As for Cold Hunt, No. 12, he was also a man of few words. Hailing from Northern Europe, he was a master of cold weapons.
Finally, Lucifer announced the last team, which consisted of himself and Dark Covenant.
Code-named 'Fallen God's Vow', they served as the mobile unit.
This mission was the first assembly of Asgard Pact, or the AC Alliance, and it was the most important first step.
After the teams were divided, they moved on to the specific tasks for each squad.
There were five red bombs in total, each held by one of the five teams.
They were assigned by number from one to five, fair and square.
Team 1 would go to Metropolis in the United States and detonate a red bomb in Times Square.
Metropolis was the center of the world; nothing was more exciting than starting the revolution from there.
Scarlet smiled seductively and licked her lips. "I'm already getting a little impatient."
Team 2 would be right here in the world's second-largest city, Kyoto.
Once a red bomb was detonated here, the massive population density meant absolutely no one could stop it.
Team 3's target was the City of Angels in the United States. Let the glory of the world's entertainment capital remain forever on the silver screen.
Lucifer thought for a moment regarding Team 4 and didn't speak immediately.
Blood Rose spoke up with a suggestion: "The Foggy Capital of Britain? Finance is highly developed there, and it's the Deep Valley Watchers' second stronghold outside of the United States."
Lucifer shook his head. "Britain is an island nation, and its population is far less than the island nation beneath our feet. It's less than 70 million."
"You should go to the Fashion Capital instead."
Blood Rose giggled. "Then I'll have to buy plenty of beautiful clothes; otherwise, I might not have anything to wear in the future."
No. 4, Judgment, teased, "My lady, you are already very beautiful. You don't need those external things to adorn you."
"Hahaha, the world says Bavarian men are rigorous and humorless. See, the gentlemanly Mr. Judgment is still quite humorous. Thank you for the compliment."
With four locations confirmed, the final target became the place everyone was currently most concerned about.
Where exactly would Lucifer arrange for them to go?
The handsome leader pondered for a long time before slowly speaking. "Death Toll, Demon Dog! Your Team 5 will likely be the group under the most pressure for this mission."
"I want you to go to China—to Shanghai!"
The two representatives of raw power looked at each other and smiled.
Death Toll said, "Boss, when do we strike? I'm already getting excited!"
But Lucifer remained very calm. "Death Toll, you two must absolutely not underestimate that place, China."
"Their Skynet system covers every corner. Their various security screening processes are among the most stringent on this planet."
"Moreover, according to reliable sources, Arroyo from the Black List remained on that land forever, even after injecting the serum. To this day, not even his bones can be found."
"You two must be extremely careful!"
Death Toll: "Boss, aren't you overestimating them? There isn't a single Chinese person on our Black List."
Lucifer: "That is exactly what worries me. Our knowledge of the experts there is a complete blank!"
"Rest assured, Boss, we will complete the mission."
"Good. When you reach Shanghai, you can find someone from the Saionji Family. They have a base in Shanghai."
"By utilizing the Japanese, you can hide your tracks effectively."
"Understood, Boss. I got it."
Lucifer clapped his hands. "The targets are clear. All teams, begin your movements! Once you reach your destinations, wait for my signal to act in unison!"
"Dark Covenant and I will remain in Kyoto. Team 6 will be the reserve unit. If anyone needs help, they will provide immediate support!"
"I wish you all success. Our AC Alliance shall become the new rulers of this world!"
The group shouted in unison and then began to move out.
A revolution was about to begin.
But a little earlier, at a certain location on this planet, things had already begun to quietly slip out of everyone's control.
That day, in a quiet little village in California, United States.
A family was in their small yard, leisurely making Texas-style barbecue.
The little boy of the family was playing with a ball.
The child had quite a kick; with one strike, he sent the ball flying into the bushes.
He looked back; his mother was lying in a chair sunbathing, and his father was focused on a giant steak in front of him.
So, he trotted off to retrieve the ball.
A breeze rustled the bushes. Just as the child was about to crawl in, he noticed something seemed to be inside.
It was pitch black and hard to see.
He backed out, and the bushes began to shake. A small, completely black deer slowly walked out.
The child was delighted, possessing a natural love for animals. But he was too young to realize why this little deer was charred black all over with glowing red eyes.
He reached out to touch it, only for the deer to snap its jaws shut on him.
The child let out a painful scream. His father finally reacted, grabbed a nearby shovel, and rushed over.
But the charred little deer refused to let go.
Though not a carnivore, it seemed attracted by the child's tender flesh.
It wasn't until the father smashed its head open that the deer tore off a piece of flesh and fled.
The child wailed in pain. The father immediately carried him back and began to bandage the wound.
Despite the fright, the child's appetite was surprisingly good.
He couldn't stop eating his father's barbecue.
Seeing this, the father was even more overjoyed, as if the more the child ate, the prouder he became.
He thought to himself that next time, he would make the meat even juicier.
The family of three finished their delicious meal and went inside to rest, ending the day.
During that quiet night, other residents in the village seemed to hear some shouting coming from John's house.
But in the American countryside, the land is vast and sparsely populated; houses are far apart.
No one knew what was happening at John's house.
Another day, a few travelers visited this remote little village.
It had to be said that the scenery here was beautiful, and the pastoral views were enchanting.
However, they found it strange—why was there no movement in this village? It looked somewhat lifeless.
Someone suggested they should just leave.
But where there are cowards, there are also the bold. To show off their courage in front of the girls they liked, several boys walked into the village alone to explore.
Not long after entering, these boys saw the most terrifying thing of their lives.
Humanoid monsters letting out low growls chased after them and began to bite.
"Holy crap, run! Are these zombies?"
However, these infected villagers possessed speed and strength far exceeding those of the young men.
After only a few steps, they were tackled to the ground one by one.
Once again, hellish howls echoed through the village!
A few days later, a police station in a small town received a phone call.
Several young travelers had gone missing.
The police chief was surprised. Such a thing happened?
Hazelnuts Valley Village was their destination.
The chief shouted, "Girls, we've got work! Move out with me!"
A group of male officers were speechless, having long been annoyed by this superior who often insulted them.
Two police cars drove toward Hazelnuts Valley.
In Golden State, Li Wanning was finally free again. Without her mother watching over her, she could do whatever she wanted.
As soon as school was out, she was getting ready to go out with her classmates.
However, Ding Quxiao called at that moment.
Li Wanning helplessly picked up.
"Mom, what is it?"
"What do you mean 'what is it'? Can't your mother even check in on you?"
"Aren't you supposed to be sleeping? It's the middle of the night there, right?"
Ding Quxiao was speechless. This girl knew it was the middle of the night here; didn't she realize her mother had specifically waited for her to finish school to call?
Once she started wilding out, she'd be impossible to find.
"How have things been there lately? Are you okay?"
"Mom, I'm fine."
"Wanning, you still need to be careful. Stock up on some food at home just in case."
"I know, Mom. I'm going out with my classmates now."
"Don't go too crazy, and focus on your studies!"
The dial tone sounded from the phone.
Ding Quxiao, wearing her pajamas, poured a glass of water and was about to head back.
"Oh? Sister Ding, who are you calling in the middle of the night?"
