195: Extradimensional race: Battle Angels

As they were possessed one by one by the angelic phantoms falling from the sky, these Battle Nuns were no longer mortal warriors, but rather… an Angel Legion, clad in human-shaped husks!

A terrifying legion, composed entirely of Transcendent-level combatants, descended defiantly upon the ruins of the Holy City, amidst the defiled aura of Fallen Creatures!

“Roar!”

The Alien Queen, facing this sudden drastic change, let out a hiss filled with both vigilance and fury.

Her massive body crouched slightly, her bone blades rubbing together, emitting a piercing screech, and her dark golden compound eyes were fixed on these enemies who had just “resurrected” but whose aura had completely transformed.

She could clearly sense that the Power of Rule emanating from these “new” enemies, although not as pure as that of the bird-person who fought the Overlord, their aura was equally dangerous!

Lin Feng also turned his gaze to this “Angel Nun” legion that had instantly formed.

Anglieus, or rather, the Eight-Winged Angel occupying his body, the holy light on him no longer burned violently, but was instead restrained and profound, like liquid gold flowing within him.

He floated in the air, his eight light wings slowly unfurling behind him, each flap bringing forth ripples of pure holy light, silently annihilating the surrounding Fallen Creature aura attempting to corrupt.

His entire being exuded a non-human majesty and sacredness, as if he were the sole core of order in this defiled world.

He slowly spoke, his voice no longer Anglieus’s, filled with human emotions of sorrow or anger, but like a grand bell, resonating directly at the soul level, full of unquestionable authority and aloof indifference.

“Blasphemer, you have glimpsed a corner of the truth, but are far from touching the grandeur of the core.”

His gaze, like substantial holy light, pierced through space, locking onto Lin Feng.

“My race, the Battle Angel race under the ‘Radiance of Holiness,’ comes from a dimensional plane entirely different from the universe you perceive.”

“We are the embodiment of light, the cornerstone of order, the manifestation of the Rule of ‘Divine Judgment’!”

“Holy light is not the power of faith as you mortals understand it; it is the innate bloodline of our race, the origin flowing deep within our souls!”

“From the day our people are born, holy light is with them; upon reaching adulthood, the Rule forms itself!”

Anglieus’s voice carried a pride stemming from his bloodline.

“Wings are not decoration, but symbols of power and rank!”

“Two wings are the foundation, four wings are soldiers, six wings are commanders… and I, an Eight-Winged Seraphim, am a legendary being who governs a domain!”

His words were like heavy hammers, striking Lin Feng’s heart and confirming Lin Feng’s suspicions.

It wasn’t faith that generated power, but power itself that chose faith as its vessel!

The Western Church was merely a “pasture” and “spokesperson” carefully cultivated by this powerful extraterrestrial race in the human world!

“These warriors you see descending.”

The Eight-Winged Angel’s gaze swept over the “Angel Nuns” below, whose aura had surged, carrying a hint of indifference towards tools.

“They are merely projections of a negligible wisp of our people’s power, descending into this world through the husks of these devout servants. The power they carry is less than one-thousandth of their true form, and constrained by the weak rules and vessels of this world, they cannot even exert one ten-thousandth of our race’s Divine Judgment!”

He looked at Lin Feng again, and his majestic voice took on a strange, seemingly benevolent tone.

“Were it not so, Blasphemer, with the meager power you currently wield, derived from decay and chaos, at the moment of my true form’s descent, you and your soul would have utterly turned into dust!”

The Eight-Winged Angel’s voice paused, and on his holy light-shrouded face, a hint of… pity seemed to show?

Or rather, it was the “compassionate” persuasion of a superior being towards a lost lamb.

“However, our Lord is merciful, and the Rules are not immutable. Your power, though originating from defilement, has touched the threshold of the Rules, proving your potential. This is indeed a rare fortune.”

He slowly raised his hand, palm upwards, and a sphere of holy light, pure to the extreme, as if containing the first ray of light at the dawn of the universe, condensed in his hand, exuding a terrifying attraction that made one want to prostrate in worship.

“Lay down your blasphemous minions, abandon your twisted Alien creations, and convert to the Radiance of Holiness! Faithfully believe in our Lord, believe in the supreme order represented by our race!”

“I, in the name of the Seraphim, shall personally bestow holy light to thoroughly purify the corrupt imprint in your soul and body, and wash away your sin of destroying the city of faith built by our servants!”

His voice was like a divine oracle, filled with unquestionable temptation and majesty.

“At that time, the pure power of holy light will flow in your bloodline!”

“You will gain power far beyond your current imagination! Become our race’s agent in this world, spreading the glory of holiness!”

“This is the path of salvation I bestow upon you, and your only choice for survival!”

The Eight-Winged Angel’s “salvation” declaration, full of temptation and majesty, echoed like a hymn across the defiled battlefield.

The sphere of pure holy light in his palm exuded a powerful attraction that could cleanse the soul and reshape life, as if Lin Feng only needed to nod to be immediately reborn and attain supreme glory.

However, Lin Feng’s reaction seemed to freeze this defiled world for an instant.

He floated silently above the mountains of corpses and seas of blood, and the writhing Fallen Creature mycelium, with frenziedly slaughtering Aliens and Fallen Creatures beneath his feet, and behind him the spatial rift that still oozed purplish-black pus and spewed forth endless blasphemous creatures.

He was enveloped by a deep gray force field, isolating him from the erosion of holy light and the temptation of “salvation.”

After listening to the Eight-Winged Angel’s words, Lin Feng’s face showed no sign of being moved to piety, nor any awe in the face of a legendary being.

Instead, a cold, utterly mocking curve slowly formed at the corner of his mouth.

That smile was like appreciating a clumsy performance, or seeing through a carefully woven lie.

“Heh…”

A low sneer broke the brief “sacred” atmosphere brought by the holy light.

“What a ‘Radiance of Holiness,’ what an ‘embodiment of light’…”

Lin Feng’s voice was not loud, yet it clearly pierced through the hum of the holy light and the distant sounds of battle, carrying a cold, penetrating power that saw through to the essence.

He slowly raised his hand, pointing at the “Angel Nuns” who were fiercely battling the Alien Queen, their movements uniform, their eyes vacant and indifferent, then pointing at the remnants of the Holy Knights in the distance, who were still mechanically resisting in the Fallen Creature torrent, constantly being torn apart and then reassembled by holy light.

“Stripped of those sacred garments, devoid of those elaborate words…”

Lin Feng’s gaze was sharp as a knife, directly piercing the Eight-Winged Angel’s holy flame-burning pupils.

“What difference is there, in essence, between you and those Fallen Creatures I summoned, who only know slaughter and devouring?”

The holy light burning on the Eight-Winged Angel’s body flickered slightly, as if enraged by these utterly blasphemous words.

But Lin Feng’s speech was faster, and colder.

“They are born of chaos, follow instinct, and feed on flesh and blood.”

“And you…”

Lin Feng’s voice suddenly rose, carrying undisguised contempt.

“Born of so-called ‘order,’ yet you regard other intelligent races as ‘pastures’ for cultivating the power of faith! You regard devout souls as ‘husks’ that can be entered and abandoned at will! You regard flesh and blood bodies as ‘tools’ to carry your power!”

“When you descend upon this world, bestow power, and spread faith, is it really for some damn ‘glory’?”

Lin Feng’s sneer grew louder, filled with undisguised sarcasm.

“No! What you need is the power of faith! It’s the soul essence of the beings of this world! It’s the continuous supply of nourishment for your so-called ‘Radiance of Holiness’ plane! Just like farmers need crops, and butchers need livestock!”

“The Church? Heh…”

Lin Feng’s gaze swept across the ruins of the Holy City, which had become hell, his tone icy cold.

“It’s nothing more than the leader of the thugs you carefully selected and propped up to harvest your ‘crops’ and manage your ‘pastures’!”

“Servants? City of Faith?”

Lin Feng finally looked at the Eight-Winged Angel, the ash-like light in his eyes burning to the extreme, carrying a near-mad obsession and fighting spirit.

“Destroying a thug leader’s lair, killing a few disobedient servants, what sin is there in that? I am merely cleaning house for humanity!”

He slowly raised both hands, and the gray force field around him suddenly boiled!

The deep viscous sensation disappeared, replaced by an even more violent, more chaotic, terrifying suction that seemed to drag all rules into a decaying abyss!

The Fallen Creature mycelium beneath his feet spread frantically, and the blasphemous creatures gushing from the spatial rift became even more violent!

“Make me convert? Make me believe in you ‘embodiments of light’ who harvest living beings like crops?”

Lin Feng’s voice was like a cold wind from the nine nether abysses, carrying a resolute determination to cut off everything and never look back.

“Dream on!”

“Boom—!!!”

Behind Lin Feng, from within the huge spatial rift, a twisted and entwined fleshy tentacle surged forth…
