213: Don't do it! He's one of us!

Alicia, enveloped by the Decay Divine Domain, felt the “grace of the god of light” scepter in her hand tremble violently!

“Buzz!”

The miniature sun at the scepter’s head erupted with an even fiercer light, forcefully dispelling a small patch of viscous darkness around her!

She seemed to be enraged by the Fallen Creatures that surged forward, fearless of death, or perhaps, she had finally made up her mind?

That trace of hesitation completely vanished, replaced by an even colder killing intent!

“Blasphemous beings shall ultimately return to nothingness!”

Alicia’s voice pierced through the wails of the Decay Divine Domain, carrying an undeniable will of judgment.

The scepter was raised high, pointing at the tide-like legion of Fallen Creatures, and at the Fallen Xenomorph behind the legion, which exuded the core aura of decay!

The light from the scepter’s head, like a volcano about to erupt, contained destructive power!

Lin Feng’s heart instantly leaped to his throat!

His muscles tensed, and his mental energy was highly concentrated, ready to activate the spatial rift beneath his feet at any moment!

However, just as Alicia’s scepter was about to unleash its destructive radiance, at that critical juncture,

her movement paused ever so slightly once again!

This time, her gaze did not fall on Lin Feng!

Above the solidified lava ground, in the area between Lin Feng and Alicia, where holy light and corrupting power violently clashed and space itself appeared distorted and blurred, the air suddenly fluctuated intensely!

It wasn’t an energy burst, but a peculiar ripple, as if space itself was being forcefully kneaded, folded, and then unfolded.

Immediately after, countless tiny particles, shimmering with cold metallic luster and faint energy streams, appeared out of thin air like star dust precipitated from the void, and rapidly converged!

A phantom figure, right in the heart of this battlefield interwoven with holy light and decay, slowly but firmly solidified, in an extremely unstable manner, as if it could dissipate at any moment!

The outline of the figure was initially blurry, but as the particle convergence accelerated, its image gradually became clear.

It was an existence between a physical entity and a projection, with most of its body exhibiting a translucent, metallic, ethereal blue glow, as if composed of some high-dimensional energy.

But what was striking was that parts of his body were not purely energy-based; instead, they were covered with or embedded with cold, precisely structured mechanical components!

His left arm, from the shoulder down, was entirely made of metal shimmering with a dark silver luster, with complex spherical bearing structures at the joints, and his fingers were sharp alloy claws.

His right cheek, from the cheekbone to the jaw, was covered by a layer of equally dark silver metal armor with tiny heat dissipation vents, forming a strange and strong contrast with the part below that still retained the texture of human skin.

Most unsettling was his right eye.

It was not an eye of flesh and blood, but a mechanical prosthetic eye emitting a Dark red glow, with an intricate internal structure like a kaleidoscope, which was now adjusting its focus at an extremely fast frequency, scanning the battlefield.

Even more unsettling was the aura emanating from him!

The aura fluctuated violently and erratically, like a flickering light bulb with a bad connection!

One moment, Lin Feng could clearly sense an aura from him roughly equivalent to the early stage of Transcendent-level; the next moment, a vast, heavy, ancient and vicissitudes of life Transcendent-level peak-level pressure descended with a roar!

But then, this pressure receded like a tide, falling back to the early Transcendent-level level, repeating this pattern, extremely unstable, as if the existence of this figure itself was a huge energy paradox.

This sudden turn of events instantly froze the tense atmosphere!

Alicia’s action of raising her scepter paused slightly; the boiling holy light energy at the scepter’s tip did not dissipate, but the destructive will that was about to erupt seemed to be forcibly interrupted by this strangely appearing “third party.”

Her cold and profound gaze, for the first time, shifted from Lin Feng, carrying a barely perceptible scrutiny and a trace of extremely faint fluctuation that even she herself hadn’t realized, falling upon this half-mechanical, half-energy phantom.

The Fallen Xenomorph let out a low, wary hiss; the corrosive power of the Decay Divine Domain instinctively diverted a portion, tentatively coiling like tentacles towards the phantom figure, but upon contact with the constantly fluctuating energy field around his body, it was silently neutralized and partially devoured, like a mud ox entering the sea.

The Alien Queen also appeared somewhat restless.

Lin Feng was equally astonished!

He had never seen such a bizarre existence!

He was merely Transcendent-level, yet he could block the domain power of the Fallen Xenomorph!

Who is this Cyborg?

How did he appear here?

Is he friend or foe?

He instinctively clenched his fists, and the spatial rift beneath his feet trembled slightly, ready to be activated at any moment.

Just then, the phantom Cyborg figure, whose aura fluctuated violently, slowly turned his head, which was partially covered by metal armor.

His Dark red mechanical prosthetic eye precisely locked onto Lin Feng.

Then, under everyone’s suspicious gaze, the metallic part of his jaw slowly pulled upwards in an extremely stiff manner, as if gears lacked lubrication.

The metal armor covering his right cheek restricted the natural movement of his muscles, making this “smile” appear extremely eerie.

The curve of his lips was stiff and rigid; only the left side, where human skin remained, could barely show a trace of muscle movement, while the metal armor on the right side remained motionless, forming a cold and rigid “half-smile.”

This smile was devoid of warmth, more like a programmed, forced output of an instruction to express “friendliness.”

“Lin… Feng…”

A fragmented voice, a mixture of electronic synthesis and a hoarse human tone, emanated from his half-mechanical, half-flesh throat, carrying a strange frictional quality, like scraping over rusty gears.

“Hello…”

These two simple words seemed to exhaust his energy for expressing emotion; the stiff smile also vanished, reverting to a cold indifference.

Immediately after, the phantom figure abruptly turned around, his movements fluid, in stark contrast to his earlier stiff smile, facing the Holy Maiden of Light, Alicia, who was suspended in the air.

Without any hesitation, his metal-armored left arm, along with the cold alloy claws below, bent sharply, clenched into a fist, and heavily struck his chest, which was partially covered by metal armor, in an extremely standard posture, even carrying a hint of ancient sacred reverence!

“Thud!”

A dull but clear metallic clang echoed across the silent battlefield!

At the same time, his right leg, which still had human flesh, stepped forward, and he knelt on one knee! His knee heavily hit the solidified lava ground, making a dull sound.

This was an impeccably standard, ancient knight’s salute, used only by the highest-ranking paladins of the Church of Light when meeting saints or the Pope!

“Holy… Maiden… Your Eminence…”

“Please don’t act! This person is one of us!”

The tone, a mixture of electronic sound and a hoarse human voice, sounded again, but this time, the emotions contained within were entirely different!
