184: New "Horizon" (Part 2)

“Not a team content with the status quo, but a team that is always hungry.”

Henderson stood up.

“Boss, we understand.”

The other players also stood up.

“Very good.”

Lin Feng nodded in satisfaction.

“Now go to training and let me see your determination.”

The players left the meeting room one after another, leaving only Lin Feng, Old John, and Sophie.

“Do you really believe they can keep winning?”

Sophie asked.

“Football is round, anything can happen.”

Lin Feng tidied up his notes on the tactics board.

“But if we don’t believe we can win, then we will definitely lose.”

Old John closed his notebook.

“Lin, are you really confident about Southampton?”

“John, in this world, nothing is impossible.”

Lin Feng looked out the window at the players warming up.

“As long as the price is right, any player can transfer.”

“Lallana is young, talented, and exactly the type we need.”

Sophie was taking notes on these conversations, and she keenly sensed a certain hint in Lin Feng’s words.

“Are you saying that Southampton’s financial situation is not very good?”

Lin Feng turned to look at her, with a hint of admiration in his eyes.

“Sophie, you always grasp the key points.”

“This is my job.”

Sophie replied frankly.

“So, can you tell me more details?”

“Some things cannot be said yet.”

Lin Feng shook his head.

“But soon, you will see the results.”

On the training ground, the players had already started their afternoon training.

Lin Feng observed each person’s condition through the window.

Vardy’s running was still active, and the injury to his right wrist did not seem to affect him.

Henderson was organizing passing drills in the midfield, every pass was precise and accurate.

Sigurdsson and Maloney were doing coordination training on the wing, and their chemistry was getting better and better.

“They look in good shape.”

Old John was also observing the players.

“Form is just the foundation.”

Lin Feng’s voice was calm.

“What’s truly important is mindset, and the desire for victory.”

His phone vibrated again, this time with a message from Richard Arnold.

“Boss, the data for ‘Northern Storm TV’ is out. Last night’s live broadcast viewership exceeded 500,000.”

Lin Feng looked at the message, a slight smile playing on his lips.

500,000 viewers, for a platform that had just started, this was a satisfactory number.

“Sophie, do you know what this means?”

Lin Feng turned his phone screen towards Sophie.

“It means your influence is expanding.”

Sophie quickly scanned the data.

“500,000 viewers, this is unprecedented in League One.”

“This is just the beginning.”

Lin Feng put away his phone.

“Our goal is to make the whole world pay attention to Hartlepool United.”

Old John listened from the side; sometimes he felt that Lin Feng’s ambition was incredibly vast.

However, Lin Feng always managed to achieve these seemingly impossible goals one by one.

“John, how far do you think we can go?”

Lin Feng suddenly asked.

“I don’t know.”

Old John answered honestly.

“But I know that following you, we have already gone further than anyone imagined.”

The shouts of the players came from the training ground; they were undergoing high-intensity confrontation training.

Lin Feng decided to go out and observe in person.

“Let’s go, let’s see our future champions.”

The three walked out of the meeting room and came to the edge of the training ground.

When the players saw Lin Feng appear, the intensity of their training visibly increased.

Everyone wanted to show their best form in front of the boss.

Vardy fell in a tackle but immediately got up and continued playing.

Henderson’s passes became increasingly precise, almost every pass finding the optimal receiving point.

Sigurdsson’s breakthroughs on the wing created several threats, and his technique was becoming more mature.

“They are indeed improving.”

Sophie observed from the side.

“Everyone is getting stronger.”

“This is the power of competition.”

Lin Feng’s gaze was intently focused on every detail on the field.

“When everyone knows their position isn’t fixed, they will go all out to prove themselves.”

After training, the players gathered around.

“Boss, how was our performance today?”

Vardy asked, sweat still beading on his forehead.

“Good, but not enough.”

Lin Feng’s answer surprised the players a little.

“What I want to see is perfection, a performance where every detail is flawless.”

“Continue tomorrow; I want to see a better you.”

The players nodded; although a little disappointed, they understood the boss’s demands.

Lin Feng turned to leave when his phone rang.

The caller ID showed Richard Arnold.

“Boss, I have good news.”

Richard’s voice was filled with excitement.

“Southampton has agreed to formal negotiations.”

Lin Feng’s eyes instantly sharpened.

“When?”

“They hope to meet this weekend.”

“Arrange it.”

Lin Feng hung up the phone and turned to look at Sophie and Old John, who were still by the field.

“It seems our puzzle will be complete soon.”

Sophie keenly sensed something.

“Is it about Lallana?”

Lin Feng did not answer directly, but his expression already said it all.

“Some things require time to prove.”

He looked at the training ground, where the players were packing up their equipment.

“But I can tell you, the story of Hartlepool United has just begun.”

As the sun set, Phoenix Training Center gradually quieted down.

Lin Feng stood by the office window, looking at the distant coastline.

The system’s notification sound suddenly echoed in his mind.

【System Notification: New Mission Issued】

【Limit of Consecutive Wins: Extend the League winning streak to 15 matches】

【Mission Reward: Unlock New Player Radar Feature — Potential Dynamic Prediction】

Lin Feng’s mouth curved slightly upwards.

Fifteen consecutive wins, this number was a huge challenge for any team.

But for him, this was just another step towards a higher goal.

He picked up the tactical notes on his desk and began to prepare for the next match.

Northampton, a seemingly not strong opponent.

But Lin Feng knew that in the world of football, any underestimation could lead to a heavy price.

He wanted to ensure the team faced every match in the most perfect condition.

Because their goal was not just fifteen consecutive wins, but a record that everyone would look up to.

Only the sound of keyboard typing remained in the office as Lin Feng formulated his next plan.

The acquisition of Lallana, the negotiations for Clyne, the team’s tactical adjustments, the expansion of commercial partnerships.

Every detail needed careful arrangement, and every step was crucial to the club’s future.

Outside the window, the town of Hartlepool was already lit up, but Lin Feng’s work had just begun.

He would use his own methods to lead this team to an unprecedented height.

And it all started with the next match.
