253: Production and Construction

The news of the Red Alert Legion's successful recovery of Hongdu was like a clap of spring Thunder that shook the universe, spreading across the vast and broken land of China at an astonishing speed.

The return of this heroic city, a major southern hub with a population of ten million, announced that humanity could still protect its home!

To console the martyrs resting in this hot land and to demonstrate humanity's strength and determination to rebuild order, Jiang Xin decided to hold a solemn and grand military parade on the seventh day after the recovery of Hongdu at the Hero Square, a place that bore witness to countless moments of glory and tragedy.

Representatives from the highest levels of the National Government, the five major military Regions, and the two border defense legions would be invited to observe. More importantly, General Qin Guoqiang, the supreme wartime Commander of China, would personally attend to confer the rank of Major General—a symbol of glory—upon Jiang Xin and Zhang Lei in front of the Heroic Monument!

Simultaneously, the National Government issued a major decision: the establishment of the Hunan-Jiangxi-Hubei Joint Military Region, overseeing all military affairs in Xijiang Province, Western Hunan, and the Jingchu region. Jiang Xin was appointed as the Commander-in-Chief of the military Region, and Zhang Lei as the Deputy Commander. This appointment undoubtedly placed the security and future of China's southeastern heartland into the hands of the Red Alert Legion.

With the recovery of the entire Xijiang Province, Jiang Xin's red alert system funds also saw an unprecedented explosion! The massive amount of capital would provide a solid foundation for him to realize his grand ambitions.

Jiang Xin immediately carried out a comprehensive, systematic adjustment and unprecedented strengthening of the unit construction, base layout, and production construction under his command.

Jiang Xin first performed a transformative restructuring of the entire army's organizational system. He and Zhang Lei would serve as the Commander-in-Chief and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Red Alert Legion, respectively.

1. Establishment of four Army Groups as the largest combat units. The Commanders of the First through Fourth Army Groups were Zhang Lei (concurrently), Chen Hao, Li Ang, and Li Wei.

2. Formation of an independent Red Alert Air Force, commanded by the wind-element Evolver Li Yi.

3. Naval construction was put on the agenda, with the steady and reliable water-element Evolver Liu Jiang provisionally serving as the Commander-in-Chief.

4. The Mecha Unit would still maintain a Mecha General Division, overseeing the Thunder, Blaze, and Destroyer sub-divisions. The tacit partners Yang Yi and Blaze Ash would serve as the Commander and Deputy Commander of the Mecha General Division, while Zhu Yan, Lei Xin, and Yang Ning would serve as the sub-division Commanders.

5. The General Staff Department appointed Zhang Long as the Chief of General Staff, Tanya as the Deputy Chief of General Staff, and Yuri as a general army staff officer.

6. Jiang Feifei was appointed as the Logistics Manager and adjutant.

7. The Evolver Legion would still be led by Zhang Lei, the strongest among them, as the Legion Commander, with Natasha assisting to centralize command of all high-end combat power.

8. The special organization, the Hunter Association, remained under the management of Li Wei and Yang Wen... The brigade-level organization underwent a major adjustment: Jiang Xin emulated the National Government's military formation strategy, setting the main force units only up to the brigade level. Currently, there are 12 Red Alert main force brigades (8 original, 4 new), striving for each brigade to become an independent synthetic combat group. Each brigade oversees 10 battalions and 2 detachments, with a total force of about 6,000 personnel, excellently equipped with a scientific configuration:

Base Network and Production Construction

While stabilizing military power, Jiang Xin invested heavily to build a base network system covering the entire province.

· Base Networking:

· In seven major cities, including Hongdu, Lujiang, Yuanzhou, Ling river (Region), Qianzhou, Raozhou, and Jiangzhou, large comprehensive bases covering 30 square kilometers have been established as regional cores.

· As a supplement, 6 small survivor bases were built in Hongdu, and 3 were built in each of the other 9 cities (Chuping, Yushui, Cidu), totaling 33 bases each covering 12 square kilometers, forming defense and reception nodes throughout the province.

· Regarding production and construction: The 4,000 square kilometers of vast farmland in Lujiang City had great potential. Jiang Xin resolutely invested a million in funds, using the system's agricultural production base module to transform 100 square kilometers of land into a highly modernized agricultural production base. Not only was the soil fertility significantly enhanced by system black technology, but a complete irrigation and water conservancy system, large warehouses, and grain-drying floors were also constructed, equipped with a large number of agricultural and forestry engineering vehicles. This made Xijiang Province the first provincial Region after the apocalypse to achieve large-scale, systematic grain production, laying a solid material foundation for future expansion.

· Lujiang City was established as the absolute core of Xijiang Province, with its Longxing City (Super Survivor Base) becoming the political, cultural, and military center of the province.

· Additionally, Hongdu was developed as a provincial sub-center city, with the Hongdu Independent Division of the First Army Group stationed there long-term to ensure the safety of this heroic land.

Thus, with Jiang Xin's massive capital investment and the support of system technology beyond the era, the land of Xijiang Province was injected with powerful vitality, embarking on the broad road of post-apocalyptic revival.

White smoke representing production rose from factory chimneys once again, lush crop seedlings filled the fields, military patrol vehicles and logistics convoys traversed the crisscrossing highways, and the long-lost sounds of reading and the roar of machines echoed from the bases.

Xijiang Province became the only provincial Region in all of China to not only achieve complete recovery but also efficiently and systematically launch comprehensive production and construction in a short period. Like a rising star, it pointed the way toward hope in this dark apocalypse.
