202: This is my first time using an alternate account, I'm a little nervous.
Zhou Yan's vision seemed to be dragged by an invisible force.
Through the text, he seemed to see a figure so immensely great, so great that it was beyond words.
If one had never seen a god, then upon witnessing Him, one would surely understand what a god is.
That giant shadow blotted out the sky and covered the sun, spanning between heaven and earth, as vast as the Universe, and all things seemed to center around Him.
White long hair hung down like the Milky Way; He sat upright on a massive throne, hands resting on a wooden sword, His face hidden in light and shadow, unable to be clearly seen.
The power surrounding Him was boundless and immense, making one dare not look for long; whispers seemed to surge within the wood grain of the sword, and the mere touch of one's gaze caused the Soul to tremble.
The moment Zhou Yan saw that figure clearly, he couldn't help but whisper.
"Ancestral Dragon."
The giant shadow seemed to hear his call, slowly turning its head to look at Zhou Yan.
"High status... low life form... Go back, do not linger."
A voice came, sounding like a man, like a woman, like an elder, like a youth, like a saint, like a Mortal.
Zhou Yan's vision blurred.
When he opened his eyes again, it was already bright.
Zhou Yan subconsciously checked his panel, confirming that he wasn't missing anything, and only then did he breathe a sigh of relief.
He looked at the book on the table, opened to the last page, and suddenly remembering the terror of the text within, he hurriedly turned his head away.
However, he realized that his subconscious glance had actually already seen the page again, only this time there was nothing unusual.
Zhou Yan was not quite sure, so he cautiously approached the book, shielding his face with his hand, stealing quick glances from time to time. He repeatedly used his hand as a cover, peeking back and forth at the text on the page.
After several rounds of "pre-aiming" and peeking, he finally patted his chest.
"Damn, that scared the hell out of me. What the hell was that just now?"
Zhou Yan read the contents of the page one last time, then closed the book and stuffed it into the bottom of his backpack.
Only then did he realize it was already morning; based on the time, he would have to go to the venue to host the opening ceremony of the conference in a while.
He stretched his body briefly and found that his spirit was unexpectedly full of energy, and his body felt much lighter too.
"Damn, that was a really good sleep."
"It really is true that people teaching people doesn't stick, but experience teaches you in one go."
Meng Ke's words from last night were prophetic; it seems that what he did was not uncommon in the Immortal Realm.
"Looks like I can't just flip through any book I want in the future."
"Luckily I only read the beginning and the end, not the middle, otherwise who knows what would be happening right now."
"However, there were still gains."
Zhou Yan recalled the bloodstain on the last page again.
That was the aura of the Demon Venerable, and those characters were definitely written with its blood.
"Reviving the Human Dao, and... Immortal Ascension?"
"And a massive amount of information about the Demon Venerable."
"Why are you giving me clues when it's almost the end? Surely there isn't a sequel, right?"
A depressed Zhou Yan couldn't be bothered to think about these miscellaneous things anymore. He cast aside distracting thoughts, changed his clothes, and sat on the edge of the bed waiting for someone to come and call him.
While bored, he suddenly remembered something: the "The Truth of Eating" that dropped when he was stir-frying the Flood Dragon egg earlier.
"Fine, so you all like to fleece the Demon Venerable, right!"
"If you can fleece it, I can fleece it too!"
"Let's do this, brothers!"
Zhou Yan directly extracted the Law of Creation entry — "The Truth of Eating".
Having interacted indirectly so many times, his understanding of the Demon Venerable could be considered quite deep.
The Demon Venerable's Law originated from the "Law of Life" obtained during a great Opportunity, and on that basis, it walked its own path, transforming it into the "Law of Creation".
I can't say much about other things, but this Law of Creation, whether it sounds like it or looking at its current expressive power, is extremely tanky.
Perhaps he could obtain some life-saving techniques from it, which might even come in handy immediately.
After pressing the extract button, Zhou Yan entered a blank space.
He looked around; it was empty, with only a green light orb floating in front of him.
"It's actually quite ceremonial."
"Ding, please proceed forward and initiate a dialogue with The Truth of Eating."
"Note: The amount of rewards the player can obtain depends on the completion and favorability of the dialogue."
"What kind of nonsense is this?"
Although it was a bit jarring, it really felt like a minigame segment that this online game would design.
Zhou Yan walked to the front of the light orb, looked left and right, thought for a moment, and suddenly had a flash of inspiration, immediately transforming into a three-meter-tall Dragon-man form.
He looked at his transformed, thick limbs and Dragon claws with satisfaction.
"As expected, this space is different from the System space. Here, I am still a whole, and I can still use Divine Ability."
"The Demon Venerable can tentatively be considered part of the Dragon Clan, so doing this should add quite a bit of initial favorability, right."
"Speaking of which, does this count as using an alias?"
Zhou Yan thought to himself while wearing a mischievous smirk.
He rarely used this Divine Ability in front of people, just so that one day he could do some things that "can't be broadcast in the daily plot."
Now, it could be considered used for a proper purpose.
"Ahem, alright, let's begin."
He waited for a while, but there was no response.
"I said it can start, start the game."
Still no reaction.
Zhou Yan didn't give up; he reached out to touch the light orb, only to find that the thing was just a texture, and his hand passed right through it.
In desperation, he had to try other methods.
"GAME START!"
"Link Start?"
"Ciallo~ ( ∠ ・ ω < ) ⌒ ☆"
After several twists and turns, Zhou Yan was exhausted, supporting his knees with his hands and gasping for breath.
He really couldn't do anything about this crappy texture.
"Haa... Haa..."
"Isn't this screwed? There isn't even a button; how is this supposed to be used?"
For some reason, Zhou Yan felt exceptionally exhausted in this space, as if he had returned to the time when he was a Mortal.
"This damn place is not right. Why has my physical fitness dropped so much?"
"No, no, I can't stay here for long. Looking at the current situation, it's probably another bug."
"I can't proceed at all, shouting is useless, and there's no button for me to press 'F' or anything."
The moment Zhou Yan uttered "F", the System responded as if it were joking.
"Ding, comprehension begins."
"Damn, this is such a rip-off!"
"So it turns out I had to use voice input for the button? What a Heaven-Defying mechanism!"
For some reason, in this space, his strength was closer to an ordinary person, and his state of mind seemed to have returned to his former Mortal state.
He still had a stomach full of complaints he wanted to spit out, but the change in the texture in front of him made him stop.
The light orb began to emit light pollution; it seemed it was about to enter the plot.
First time using an alias, I'm actually a bit nervous. A pure and kind good person like me is being forced to play the "villain" again.
The brilliance dissipated, and a maggot that looked like a Dragon appeared before him.
It was about half a person tall, shaped like a maggot, but covered in scales, with two Dragon horns on its head; overall, it looked more like a chibi design.
What a huge maggot!
Of course, that was just a thought; saying it out loud would probably lower favorability.
Zhou Yan saw this big maggot blink its eyes, shake its head, and then speak in a voice that couldn't distinguish between male and female.
"Who are you? Why am I here?"
This guy should be the Demon Venerable, but in this state, it seems to have been affected by this space as well.
However, I still can't let my guard down. It's my first time using an alias; I should still be a bit restrained.
Zhou Yan coughed lightly and spoke cautiously.
"Hello, I am your father."
