507: Chapter 507 Lü Yang's Forced Reconciliation

"You there, didn't we agree that you'd wait for me? Why were you trying to leave on your own?"

Sitting cross-legged atop a cloud, Zhou Yan was piloting it toward the exit of the sect. Tied up behind him was a monk, who was currently wriggling around on the cloud.

"No way, I was just playing a joke on you. There's no need to go completely silent, is there?"

Zhou Yan spoke toward his back again, but there was still no response.

Feeling strange, he turned his head to look back, only to see Lv Yang lying on the cloud with a look of deep resentment. His entire body was bound like a silkworm cocoon, and a cloth was stuffed into his mouth.

"Oh, sorry, sorry. I forgot your mouth was gagged."

Just as Zhou Yan removed the cloth from Lv Yang's mouth, Lv Yang opened his mouth to unleash a torrent of abuse. However, remembering the reason he had been gagged in the first place, he could only force himself to swallow his words and said instead:

"How about you just pretend I never came and let me go, alright?"

"Alright, Old Lv, stop talking in your sleep in broad daylight. Just follow me obediently."

Hearing this, Lv Yang became even more anxious.

"Wait, where are you taking me?"

"To the Eastern Region, of course." Zhou Yan shrugged. "I just took on a job and am heading to the Eastern Region to handle it. Since you're here anyway, you might as well come along."

Seeing Lv Yang's resistance, Zhou Yan added a few more words.

"You probably came to find me for a reason, right? Now that I finally harbor no hostility toward you, don't you plan on doing what you came to do? So, let's just have a forced reconciliation for now."

At the mention of this, Lv Yang stopped struggling. After thinking for a moment, he finally spoke slowly.

"I really owe you people. I only had to come find you because of Long Tianxing's business. I didn't expect you to be even worse than Long Tianxing."

"Fine, fine. Going to the Eastern Region with you is acceptable, but you must guarantee my safety, and you cannot spread word of what I tell you."

"Consider it an exchange of information. I won't go around talking about your business either."

Zhou Yan smiled slightly and casually untied Lv Yang's ropes.

In truth, after he had seen that series of records from Cangtian, he no longer had any particular designs on Lv Yang.

There were already so many transmigrators; one more or one less didn't make a difference.

Although Lv Yang's words were quite mysterious, upon further reflection, Zhou Yan realized he had nothing to fear.

Perhaps he had initially managed to make a name for himself through deception and trickery, but now his cultivation was genuinely accomplished and his talent was maxed out. He could live off his current success for a very long time.

Not to mention that even without the System, he even had an Immortal Path to choose from. Whether Lv Yang knew his identity or not was actually not that important anymore.

The reason he had played this little game with Lv Yang—pretending to be an old man to trick him and then tying him up—was actually to make him calm down. At the very least, he wanted to get him to say what he had wanted to say before and see what his true purpose was.

"Alright, I promise you. Once we reach the Eastern Region, I'll find someone to protect you. Now, can you tell me what it is you want to do?"

Lv Yang hadn't stopped being angry, but he was indeed helpless. He finally spoke of the matter he should have mentioned long ago.

"I have a broken sword, something I was born with—at least, that's what my family said." Lv Yang slowly sat up, rubbing his somewhat swollen arms. "That sword is very strange. Even though it's clearly a wooden sword, it's indestructible. Moreover, once it falls into someone else's hands, they start having nightmares."

"It continues until that person collapses, at which point the sword returns to my side."

A monk and a demonic sword?

Two keywords quickly flashed through Zhou Yan's mind. A monk who was born with a strange, broken sword before entering the monastery—this plot sounded exactly right.

At the same time, a bad premonition welled up in his heart.

"So, when you invited me to the Southern Desert back then, it was to give me this sword?"

"Of course not. Something like that doesn't sound like something you can just normally give to someone, does it?" Lv Yang shook his head. "Actually, I only figured out one use for that sword in recent years."

"It seems that under certain circumstances, it can cause people to have specific dreams, though I'm still not quite clear on the exact conditions."

"But what I do know is that many of these dreams are things that actually happened in the Old Era. It was by relying on this that I gradually regained quite a few memories."

"You mean to say this sword can help an Immortal's Reincarnation regain their memories?"

Lv Yang quickly waved his hands and said:

"I didn't say that. I only said it has a similar function."

"But in my calculations, I foresaw the possibility of you obtaining this sword in the future. In your hands, this sword might be able to produce some unimaginable effect."

Hearing Lv Yang say this, Zhou Yan also became interested.

"Where is the sword? Let me see it."

Zhou Yan planned to use the System to scan it and see exactly what it was, and if it was truly as strange as he claimed.

However, he saw Lv Yang shake his head and say:

"It was snatched away by Long Tianxing."

"I invited you back then but didn't directly mention the sword precisely to prevent this from happening."

"In my calculations, as long as Long Tianxing knew of the sword's existence, he would definitely snatch it away. That's why I came to find you."

Zhou Yan was completely stunned.

If he remembered correctly, Qing Xuan had told him that Long Tianxing had found a resurrection method and gone to the Southern Desert with Wang Yao, intending to resurrect him.

But now, he only knew that Wang Yao was wandering between various cities in the Southern Desert, while Long Tianxing's whereabouts were unknown.

Hearing Lv Yang's words, it seemed that fellow had headed straight for Lv Yang's hometown as soon as he reached the Southern Desert. Presumably, the conflict had also occurred because of this sword.

But what did Long Tianxing want with this sword?

"Will something terrible happen now that Long Tianxing has taken the sword? Is that why you came to find me?"

Lv Yang sighed and then said:

"If only that were the case, then I wouldn't have needed to find you; I could have just gone straight to your Elders."

"The key point is that I don't know what will happen either. I only know that after Long Tianxing takes this sword, he shouldn't be affected by it, which means he can hold onto it for a long time."

"As for Long Tianxing being a Child of Destiny, you, as his fellow disciple, must know best. What will happen if he runs around with such a dangerous object is what I need to consider."

"I came to find you because, in my calculations, this sword will eventually fall into your hands. As long as you take the initiative to get involved, you can facilitate the occurrence of this Karma, even if it has already been taken by Long Tianxing."

Zhou Yan pondered for a moment. He knew without thinking that the guy in front of him was definitely hiding things from him, and probably many things at that.

Having just offended him, it wasn't quite appropriate to ask directly. It seemed he would still have to make a trip to the Southern Desert to find Long Tianxing.

"In that case, come with me to the Eastern Region first."

"When we pass by the Sect Master's main hall in a bit, I'll ask the Sect Master for help to see if he can dispatch one or two Senior Brothers to help me search for Long Tianxing in the Southern Desert first."

"That guy reportedly went to the Southern Desert for my sake. Now that I've returned, he might just give the sword back to you."

Lv Yang fell into thought for a while after hearing this, but eventually nodded, agreeing with Zhou Yan's suggestion.

Taking advantage of this moment, Zhou Yan casually interjected a sentence.

"By the way, Lv Yang, didn't you regain a lot of memories regarding Immortals?"

Hearing this somewhat abrupt question, Lv Yang also felt it was a bit strange, but he soon understood. This guy most likely wanted to ask about the Immortal Realm.

"Yes, is there a problem?"

Zhou Yan waited for two seconds, then asked:

"Do you know if the White Emperor is..."

Before Zhou Yan could finish his sentence, Lv Yang vomited a mouthful of fresh blood and pointed at Zhou Yan in disbelief.

"You... Long Tianxing... you all... are... dogs!" Lv Yang spoke tremulously before finally collapsing onto the cloud.

Zhou Yan didn't worry about Lv Yang fainting. After all, the other's health bar was quite healthy; he had just been hit with some buffs, it was no big deal.

But this scene shocked him immensely, and he couldn't help but blurt out:

"Wait, you actually do know?"
