590: Chapter 590 Long Tianxing vs. Wang Yao

"This is quite convoluted. Now, please tell me, where is the mastermind?"

Long Tianxing held a well-dressed bug monster in his hand, pressing his sword against her neck.

"Don't kill me, I really don't know anything."

She pressed her hands together, pleading pitifully.

Seeing that he couldn't get any information, Long Tianxing withdrew his sword and waved his hand, signaling her to leave.

The bug monster looked on blankly, as if she hadn't expected him to actually let her go.

"Before I change my mind, you'd better leave immediately."

Long Tianxing turned his head away with an indifferent expression.

Seeing this, the bug monster was so moved she was on the verge of tears, hurriedly bowing in thanks.

"Thank you, thank you."

After thanking him, the bug monster turned to leave, but then remembered something and turned back.

"I really don't know where the boss is, but I know the terrain here changes. You... you should be careful."

After saying this, the bug monster left without looking back.

Long Tianxing shook his head after she was far away.

"That's the seventh one. Excluding the three who attacked me after I let them go, basically all of them said the same thing. It seems this mastermind is truly cunning."

"If I had known it would be this much trouble, I wouldn't have come in."

Long Tianxing irritably took out a small comb to tidy his hair, then turned and followed his intuition toward another passageway.

For Long Tianxing, those without heavy Evil Qi would naturally be captured once they got out; the law would judge them then, and there was no need to dirty his sword.

Whether they were coerced or came voluntarily, they could explain themselves to the victims later; he couldn't be bothered with such matters.

He slashed the door open with one stroke, and what came into view was a laboratory. Inside, many human and monster bodies were soaking in tanks.

Long Tianxing's expression remained unchanged, but his grip on the sword tightened slightly.

"Demonic heresy!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

A series of glass shattering sounds rang out, and the corpses slid out of the tanks one after another.

Long Tianxing wanted to burn them all, but in the end, he couldn't bring himself to do it. Instead, he used his magic power to set a coordinate so that the teams coming in later would be able to find them.

After leaving a message on the coordinate, instructing the later arrivals to collect the remains for inspection, Long Tianxing was about to walk to the next room.

The metal floor suddenly shook.

The door directly in front of him appeared to have a dent, as if it had been struck by some Vicious Beast.

This dent instantly aroused Long Tianxing's vigilance, and he hurriedly drew his long sword, preparing to defend against the enemy.

"Boom—!"

The door was instantly knocked open and embedded directly into the wall. A youth appearing like a mad demon, clutching a wooden sword, appeared before Long Tianxing.

"Wang Yao?"

Long Tianxing blurted out, which also attracted Wang Yao's attention.

However, Wang Yao did not keep his gaze on Long Tianxing for long; instead, he looked at the skinny boy lying on the ground beside him.

"Da—Biao!"

A roar like a wild beast erupted from Wang Yao's mouth, but even faster than the sound was Wang Yao's surprise attack.

The wooden sword slashed through the air, simple and direct, as if intending to cut the air itself.

Long Tianxing raised his long sword and barely blocked the strike, but his wrist was left numb from the impact.

"Wang Yao, what are you doing!"

Long Tianxing retreated half a step, his left hand guarding his chest, his right hand keeping the long sword at a defensive angle.

He stared at Wang Yao's eyes—the pupils were unfocused, saliva hung from the corners of his mouth, and he did not answer his question.

The wooden sword struck again, a horizontal slash.

Long Tianxing held his sword vertically to block, and the crisp sound of the two weapons clashing echoed in the laboratory.

The second strike followed closely, hacking down from above. Long Tianxing dodged to the side, the blade grazing his chest and cutting the tie on his lapel.

"Damn it, I can't fight here."

Realizing Wang Yao could not communicate, he flashed past Wang Yao and rushed toward the way he came.

He fled, and Wang Yao pursued.

The two soon arrived at a fork in the road. There were eight passageways here, with signs flashing the numbers of various ecological zones.

Long Tianxing glanced at the nearest entrance, his footsteps not stopping, moving toward it while parrying.

Wang Yao's offensive had no rhyme or reason, yet every move was lethal.

Diagonal slashes, straight thrusts, upward strikes—all were the most basic sword techniques, yet they became difficult to parry due to that violent power.

Long Tianxing's long sword danced rapidly, weaving a net of light in front of him.

"What on earth are you—!"

Before he could finish his sentence, the wooden sword pointed toward his throat.

Long Tianxing twisted his body, his long sword sticking to the wooden sword's blade to lead it outward, using the force to deflect it to his side.

Wang Yao took the opportunity to spin, the second sword slicing across his waist.

Long Tianxing could only retreat, his heels already stepping on the edge of the passageway entrance.

There was no choice left.

His sword stance changed from pure defense to offense.

The long sword no longer waited passively but actively met the trajectory of the wooden sword, intercepting it before its power reached its peak.

Wang Yao roared, the speed of his wooden sword strikes increasing.

Long Tianxing stopped speaking, just keeping a grim face, intercepting, deflecting force, and attacking his wrist one sword stroke after another, preparing to knock his weapon away.

The light in the passageway dimmed; the sensor lights lit up segment by segment as they moved, then extinguished behind them.

Two figures crossed in the narrow space, and the sparks from the clashing blades briefly illuminated each other's faces.

Wang Yao's hand cracked at the web between his thumb and index finger due to the recoil, and blood dripped down the hilt, yet he was completely unaware, just roaring and attacking non-stop.

Realizing that this minor injury couldn't affect Wang Yao, Long Tianxing's offensive became increasingly fierce.

"Regardless of what you simpleton have experienced, I won't hold back from now on."

The long sword unfolded in Long Tianxing's hand. Relying on his Nascent Soul Stage cultivation, he almost suppressed Wang Yao in the Physical Body combat, but every sword strike was extremely precise and restrained, never truly aiming for vital points.

Wang Yao's wooden sword was deflected, and the tip of Long Tianxing's sword followed through to poke the back of his hand that was gripping the sword.

The skin split open, blood gushed out, and half of Wang Yao's palm was directly cut off by this sword strike.

Yet he had no reaction, not even frowning.

Before the severed palm fell, Wang Yao's hand grew back, grabbing the sword and the palm that was about to fall tightly.

He used so much force that he even crushed the half-palm into a pulp, which flowed out through his fingers.

The end of the passageway lit up with a green light; that was the canopy of the ecological zone.

The two fought as they advanced, having already fought out of the narrow passageway, and the metal floor beneath their feet turned into soil and meadow.

Wang Yao stepped into the mud, his figure slightly stalling.

Long Tianxing seized this gap to press in, his long sword pressing against the root of the wooden sword and twisting hard.

The wooden sword left his hand, spun half a circle in the air, and stabbed straight into the wall in the distance.

With the wooden sword gone, Wang Yao paused for an instant, but the next moment he became even more manic. He pounced empty-handed, his ten fingers like hooks, aiming straight for Long Tianxing's throat.

Long Tianxing held his sword horizontally in front, using the blade to frame Wang Yao's arms, then changed his move, slamming the hilt into his chest.

With a muffled sound, Wang Yao took two steps back.

The lights of the ecological zone simulated the light of dusk, drawing their shadows long, intertwining between the bushes.

Wang Yao stood still, his chest heaving violently, his unfocused eyes still staring at Long Tianxing.

A few words rolled out hoarsely from his throat.

"Zha... Yi..."

The wooden sword was still stuck in the wall, but it began to tremble slightly.

Long Tianxing stood holding his sword, thinking of a countermeasure.

This simpleton's Physical Body was too troublesome, and he couldn't use major Divine Ability, otherwise, killing him would be a real hassle.

This scene was taken in by Arthur.

Looking at all this, Arthur was a bit baffled.

Why did he manage to lose the whole game after just a little planning, and now that he had no plans left, they were having an internal conflict instead?

"What do you want with me?"

A black cat suddenly appeared beside Arthur. Looking at the black cat, an idea quickly formed in Arthur's mind.

"We have already lost everything. Now go and stop an enemy for me, or you can wait to go to the tribunal."

The action of Schrodinger licking his fur froze, and his entire cat face was filled with shock.

"What's the situation? Didn't I just take a nap?"

Schrodinger hurriedly changed back into his human form and chased after him.

Arthur, seeing Schrodinger chasing him, didn't say much. After pointing out the direction to him, he only left one sentence:

"I'm going to do something first and will be there shortly. You try your best to stall those two people."

"Wait."

Schrodinger ultimately couldn't stop Arthur, and he turned and disappeared without a trace.

"What on earth happened?"

And when he arrived at his destination and saw the person who came, Schrodinger was shocked again.

"Zhou Yan, why are you here?"

Seeing this person whom he had always heard of but never met, Schrodinger really hadn't expected to see him here.

But to Schrodinger, Zhou Yan was a new face, but to Zhou Yan...

"Hehehe, I knew coming over to take a look would be a surprise. The one here for me to vent my anger has arrived!"

"You old geezer deserve to be beaten by me!"
