113: New Home Dinner

As dusk gradually approached, it slowly dyed the bluestone paths of East Lin City.

A carriage slowly drove into the city, its wheels rolling over the uneven road surface, making faint sounds that added a touch of life to the silent twilight.

At a street corner, Cao Guang had already been waiting for a long time.

He wore a grey robe, stood tall, and had piercing eyes.

Seeing the carriage arrive, he stepped forward quickly, his gaze inadvertently sweeping over the three women inside the cabin, and he understood immediately.

He lowered his voice and said respectfully:

"Master, the residence has been arranged. It's deep within the alleys of the West City, very secluded."

Situ Jun sat at the front of the carriage. Hearing this, he nodded slightly, his voice steady and powerful:

"Lead the way."

Cao Guang responded and turned, taking vigorous steps to lead the way.

Situ Jun flicked the reins and continued to drive the carriage, following unhurriedly behind.

The buildings on both sides of the street loomed in the twilight, with occasional barks from dogs making it seem even quieter.

Before long, they arrived at a three-entry courtyard.

The mottled wooden door showed signs of age from years of erosion, letting out a "creak" as it was pushed open.

In the courtyard, an old locust tree had lush branches and leaves, swaying gently in the breeze. Amidst the dancing shadows of the tree, there was a sense of peaceful and beautiful years.

The three women in the carriage stepped down lightly, looking at their new home with curiosity.

Jiang Ya wore a pale pink ruqun. Her skin was as white as snow, and her features were like a painting.

She walked slowly to the stone table in the courtyard, her slender fingers lightly touching the surface. Her eyes sparkled with faint light as she said softly:

"This place... is actually better than I imagined."

Seeing the satisfied expressions of the three women, Situ Jun also breathed a sigh of relief in his heart, a smile unconsciously rising at the corners of his mouth.

He turned to look at Cao Guang and said:

"You did well. This is your reward."

Before he finished speaking, he tossed a bottle of Medicinal Pills to Cao Guang:

"It can help you make a Breakthrough in your Cultivation faster."

A look of pleasant surprise flashed in Cao Guang's eyes. He hurriedly reached out to catch it and said with a face full of joy:

"Thank you, Master!"

Situ Jun nodded slightly and continued to instruct:

"Take care of this place more in the future. If there's anything you can't handle, look for Tu Xiong or send a transmission to me. Also, find two maids who can do laundry and cook to send over another day."

"Don't worry, Master. I can handle it tomorrow," Cao Guang said with confidence.

"Go back for now, and come back tomorrow."

Situ Jun saw the three women looking over, so he sent Cao Guang away.

After Cao Guang left, Jiang Ya walked to the main gate, gently locked it, and said:

"It's almost dark. Let's look around first and get familiar with the place, so we don't end up not knowing where to sleep tonight."

The three women were in an exceptionally good mood. Hearing this, they giggled and walked around the courtyard hand-in-hand. Their laughter echoed in the courtyard, adding life and vitality to the silent grounds... The night was deep, with stars dotting the sky.

Situ Jun set out a table of sumptuous food and wine in the main hall. The candlelight flickered, casting a warm yellow glow on the four faces, making them flush slightly.

Jiang Ya raised her wine cup, her eyes like water as she looked at Situ Jun, her voice soft:

"Young Master Situ, Yaer will never forget your life-saving kindness."

Her clear and beautiful face became even more radiant under the candlelight, her beaming smile carrying hints of affection.

Situ Jun looked at her, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of his mouth:

"Yaer, you're being too formal by saying that, I..."

Before he could finish, he was interrupted by Mei Shuang beside him.

Mei Shuang was usually as cold as frost, but now she wore a moon-white dress, her skin as white as snow, like a blooming lotus.

Her cheeks were flushed, and with a bit of drunkenness, she gave a seductive smile:

"Still 'Young Master Situ'? We need to change how we address him; we should all call him husband!"

On the other side was Lan Yanliu, the oldest of the three. She wore a rose-red long dress, looking as radiant and charming as a ripe peach.

A happy smile hung on her beautiful face. She didn't hide her affection as she looked at Situ Jun, letting out a light laugh while tipsy:

"You two are so direct, it makes me look pretentious. Our hearts already belong to Situ. Why don't we drink this cup of wine tonight and consider our relationship as husband and wives established with Husband Situ?"

Situ Jun felt his heart beating like a drum. With the wine going to his head, he reached out and took the three women's hands, his voice carrying a hint of excitement:

"Doing it so casually, I've really wronged you, my wives."

...Moonlight poured in through the window lattice, gently enveloping the four of them.

They embraced each other, softly whispering vows that drifted through the night, warm and romantic.

At this moment, it began to rain outside, but no matter how strong the wind and rain were, they couldn't compare to the warmth in this room.

The rustling of leaves, the chirping of insects and cicadas, the sound of the night wind flapping the curtains, the dripping of rain from the eaves... various sounds intertwined to form a hazy and wonderful picture of a rainy night in the courtyard.

Inside, the candlelight was as warm as spring. In this night, it was magnificent and intoxicating.

The next morning, sunlight spilled into the room through the window, and Situ Jun slowly woke up.

The side effects of the Cultivation Technique from the past few days had been resolved, making him feel sentimental while also yearning for his current life.

This was a beautiful life he had never experienced before!

The women were still fast asleep, their faces flushed from the wine and showing a bit of fatigue. One could imagine how late they had chatted last night before falling asleep.

Situ Jun looked at their peaceful sleeping faces, his heart full of tenderness. After covering them with blankets, he quietly went out.

In the living room, Situ Jun was picking up a teacup to drink tea when his hand suddenly paused.

Immediately after, a familiar voice sounded in his mind.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, for undermining Bei Batian's Luck and gaining 300 heavenly luck value.]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, for undermining Bei Batian's Luck and gaining 500 heavenly luck value.]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, your Cultivation has reached the Late Golden Core Stage.]

...This series of prompts and rewards left Situ Jun stunned.

After a while, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly, revealing a joyful smile.

Improving his Cultivation while enjoying his days—the thought of it was wonderful!

Around noon, Jiang Ya and the others also slowly woke up and came to the living room.

Their bright and moving faces carried a bit of bashfulness, making them look even more charming and cute.

Seeing them like this, Situ Jun laughed in spite of himself:

"My wives, how is it that after not seeing each other for just a few hours, you've become shy? You weren't like this last night; after drinking a bit, none of you would back down from anyone."

Jiang Ya couldn't take it and stepped forward to pinch him, saying crossly:

"You already said it was because of the wine, and you're still bringing it up!"

"Exactly, Husband only knows how to tease us. Tonight we'll lock him outside to keep watch, hmph!"

Lan Yanliu took unnatural steps and said huffily.

"Pfft!"

Mei Shuang chuckled and gave her a reproachful look:

"You'd have the heart to lock him outside for the night? Even if you did, Sister Jiang would surely fight you to the death, haha."

Hearing this, Jiang Ya was displeased and shot a reproachful side-glance at Mei Shuang:

"I wouldn't have the heart? As if you would. I don't know who was it last night that..."

Mei Shuang's face turned red, and she stepped forward to cover Jiang Ya's mouth:

"You little brat, how dare you say everything out loud? Aren't you ashamed?"

Situ Jun watched the women frolicking, his heart full of happiness, and he couldn't help but join in the laughter.

After a moment, he said:

"It's already noon, time to eat. Manager Cao sent someone to deliver the food; it's being kept warm in the pot just waiting for you."

Only then did the women stop their playfulness and head toward the kitchen.

After the meal, Cao Guang came to find Situ Jun to report on recent matters in East Lin City.

He focused his report on the situation of the Embroiderer (Jin Xuanxiu) and the other women in East Lin City.

Jiang Ya and the others heard clearly from the side, and a sour feeling couldn't help but rise in their hearts.

Jiang Ya spoke first, her tone carrying a hint of jealousy:

"You just said you had to leave for some business and told us to live well here. It turns out you're going to see Sister Liu. But why is Sister Liu also in East Lin City? Could it be that you two..."

Situ Jun took her hand and smiled slightly, his eyes full of tenderness:

"Liu Xuaner is also a sister to you all. I plan to go see them and then return to the Mining Area. I will make arrangements here so you can live with peace of mind."

Although Mei Shuang and the others felt reluctant to see him go, they still showed understanding of Situ Jun's departure.

They knew that Situ Jun had his own responsibilities and matters to attend to, and they would wait here for his return.
