105: Chapter 105 Subspace Serpent Head

The Imperial Capital has only one entrance that leads directly to Warp, and that entrance is exclusively for worshipping Slaanesh, with no other purpose.

The Necron Dynasty has one as well, but it is for military use, and it is impossible for random, unverified people to enter.

If you want to enter Warp for private purposes, you must go to the territory of Countess Dukaria; she has a specially approved entrance there, which is also used for worshipping the deities of Warp.

Although she was stripped of her title long ago, everyone is used to calling her that, so they still address her by it.

Countess Dukaria is someone who would risk her life for money; as long as the payment is right, she can not only send you in but also provide technical support.

However, getting to the Ducalia Territory is not that easy now. After all, it is a vassal autonomous region, and with its prosperous economy, it has a significant trade surplus with the Imperial Capital. Without a very solid reason, customs will not let anyone pass, especially since the Twin Demons of the Frontier are wanted fugitives, making them even more likely to be caught if seen.

When the Twin Demons of the Frontier arrived, it was Consort Cheng Yu who snuck them in, but now that their mission is not yet complete, they certainly cannot take that same route back.

Everyone's gaze finally turned to Knife Cheng; among this group of bizarre-looking individuals, he was the only one who looked like a reliable and capable normal person.

"We can just smuggle our way across; I know a snakehead," Knife Cheng said with a shrug. This wasn't exactly a glorious thing to do, and although he was an undercover agent, he couldn't exactly report this honestly to his superiors.

"Tch." The group rolled their eyes in disdain. Others only needed to roll two eyeballs, but the Slaanesh Nun had to roll four pairs.

...

The eyes had to be rolled, but the matter still had to be handled this way.

The group first went to the black market to buy fake identification documents, then, taking advantage of the late night when the customs staff were so tired their eyelids were drooping, they claimed that their group had incurred debts and were going to the Battle Moon to work as laborers.

The staff saw that this bunch of bizarre existences really didn't look like normal people, so without any suspicion, they approved their departure.

The group arrived at the construction site on the Battle Moon, where there was an open-air building material storage warehouse covering hundreds of thousands of square kilometers. Many clones hiding from debts and down-and-out artists from other planets lived there, scavenging for a living.

Of course, they could only pick up some scrap metal, mineral water cans, and the like. Those steel coils and such could not be stuffed into their pockets; even if they could carry them, they weren't allowed to, as those were the Emperor's property and Imperial supplies.

"Cuckoo, cu~ckoo~" Knife Cheng didn't remember if the snakehead he had contacted before was still in this original location, so he could only have the whole group make this contact signal.

After the group mimicked bird calls for a long time, a clone wearing a mask finally responded—it was unclear what the point of his mask was—"A hawk flies in the sky, a leopard runs on the ground."

"Want to go up the mountain to get rich," Knife Cheng replied.

"Why did you bring so many people? Are you organizing a family tour group? I charge double for females," the masked clone said, quite dissatisfied.

"We have some business to attend to; the fare is not an issue."

The masked clone distributed a satellite dish to everyone. It didn't really look like a satellite dish, because he required everyone to wear this dish on their heads. Of course, the Slaanesh Nun didn't need to, as she was a creature of Warp herself.

"Doesn't this mean we won't be able to see anything?" Cheng Yu asked.

"Not seeing is the point. Don't look around inside Warp; I will tell you when we reach a safe place," the masked Cheng Yu said.

The so-called Warp snakehead meant exactly what it said literally: everyone formed a long single-file line, with the person behind placing their hands on the shoulders of the person in front, and then they entered Warp in a long snake formation. Only the person at the front could see the way.

Since he dared to run this business, it meant he had mastered at least two or more stable paths through Warp; otherwise, he would just be leading people to their deaths.

"This is the coordinate cloud map," Accountant Cheng handed a slip of paper to the snakehead.

There are no physical rules to speak of in Warp; so-called coordinates are just a probability cloud. Walking towards a certain place might lead you there; the higher the probability, the shorter the time it takes to arrive. Just keep moving, for once you start moving, not a peep is heard.

"Let's get the ugly talk out of the way first: if anyone feels they can't withstand the corruption of Warp, get out of the line quickly. Don't harm others and yourself."

Everyone's gaze turned to the Slaanesh Nun. She could only roll her four pairs of eyes again. "I am an Imperial citizen now, okay? Don't always look at me with those eyes that look at pollutants."

...

After complex preparations, the team finally entered Warp.

Among the group, only the snakehead, Knife Cheng, and the Slaanesh Nun had experience traversing Warp. Despite the fact that the others all looked like creatures of Warp, they were actually all first-timers. Previously, they had at most been interested in Warp, but when actually faced with the real thing, everyone was trembling with fear.

Inside Warp, there is no up, down, left, right, time, or gravity. Even if there were, they would be biological hallucinations; everything is in a state of pure energy.

Things from the material universe that enter Warp, even if they successfully come out in the end, are no longer what they were before.

It's like someone who has been to prison; even if they have truly been reformed, for the rest of their life they will carry a kind of... prison aura. Even if others don't say it, they themselves can smell that feeling.

"Something is touching my right hand!" Cheng Yu suddenly screamed.

"That's your left hand," the snakehead said, glancing back.
