119: Chapter 119 Ancient God Nagori

When the Aeldari Goddess Isha, acting as the plenipotentiary negotiation ambassador for the Ancient God Nurgle, was about to leave, she made a request that Overachiever Cheng Yu found very difficult to handle.

She said that when your country cooperated with the False God Slaanesh, you pledged a batch of clones to undergo Slaaneshi mutation, which are those special imperial units called Slaanesh Followers.

So, shouldn't Lord Nurgle also be pledged a batch of clones to consolidate the diplomatic ties between the two countries?

Overachiever Cheng Yu could not make the decision on this matter and had to report it level by level.

In the end, Main Body made the final decision: it could be done in principle, but it must uphold the principle of voluntary participation. No forced quotas; whoever wants to go can go.

In fact, there were quite a few people willing to go. For example, Knife Cheng was willing because he had already started to mutate.

At first, he thought he belonged to the type with relatively strong resistance to Warp, as this was not his first time entering Warp for "exploration" activities.

Since his body had already started growing horns, he might as well go and learn some Warp technology to become a special unit. Future income, insurance, car loans, mortgage, housing provident funds, and other aspects would all have preferential policies.

Otherwise, he was a drifter before the mutation and still a drifter after, so wouldn't those horns have grown in vain?

But his ex-wife, the former Slaanesh Nun, now an Ogryn human named Tanya, would not let Knife Cheng go.

As a former Slaanesh Nun, Tanya viewed the Court of Nurgle as... a disgusting cesspit, and she insisted that she would not let her ex-husband go.

His Majesty the Emperor's so-called "voluntary participation" certainly included the wishes of family members; otherwise, family members would be banging the grievance drums in the Hive City every night, affecting everyone's work the next day.

As a result, Deadly Living Monkey and other companions had already successfully signed up, but only Knife Cheng was being dragged around by his ex-wife, who had the build of Lady Dimitrescu, and he just couldn't sign the papers.

"So, most men in the Empire could be saints, it's just a pity that women get in the way. Go back and discuss it with your wife again; my registration deadline is tomorrow."

Overachiever Cheng Yu packed up the files and went to report the situation to the Nurgle Counselor.

"Tanya, listen to me."

Knife Cheng persuaded her very patiently, "The employment pressure is so high now. Being an informant for the Hive City Security Force isn't a steady job. When I raided your camp back then, they only gave me a bonus of 30,000 credits in total. I can't keep raiding people's places every day; if I provoke someone I shouldn't one day, I'll be beaten to death. It's very cruel."

"That's still better than going to Nurgle's side. Don't think you can handle the environment there. You're afraid even when you see a centipede normally; what if Nurgle turns you into a centipede? Can you stand that?"

"My dear, for my own sake, I am afraid of centipedes, but for the future of the two of us, I can try to embrace the centipede. I never once despised you for your Eight-Eyes, so please don't despise me for having hundreds of legs in the future, okay?"

The passing Cheng Yus Clones couldn't stand these two and told them to get lost and show off their affection somewhere else, preferably deep in the wheat fields—yes, it would be best if they got lost there and never came back.

In short, Knife Cheng eventually used some kind of rhetoric and successfully persuaded his wife to sign up.

...

The Court of Nurgle is located in the deepest part of Warp and cannot be entered by ordinary means. Although the special units known as Slaanesh Followers were nominally pledged to Slaanesh, no one had actually been to the Slaanesh Court; it was the Greater Daemon of Slaanesh who came to the real universe to transform them.

It must be said that Slaanesh is a bit of a germaphobe, and at first, Slaanesh was quite disgusted with Cheng Yu's empire of cloned monkeys.

Therefore, Knife Cheng and the others had to board a special black ship capable of traversing the Sea of Souls. This black ship was different from ordinary spaceships equipped with Geller Field; it was itself a creature of Warp.

"Goodbye, goodbye!" Knife Cheng waved his handkerchief toward the shore, although he didn't know where the handkerchief came from, but Warp was like that—very magical.

"Human, that is my eyelid." A Greater Daemon of Nurgle said.

"Oh, sorry, please go ahead."

"Woo... woo-woo!" A shrill whistle sounded. Aboard the black ship, the sky and the sea instantly inverted, and a glowing green light enveloped the entire hull.

Knife Cheng felt a kind of... feeling like riding a pirate ship when he was a child; his legs felt weak, but he wasn't completely weightless.

After just a short while, Knife Cheng felt like he had been seasick for a long, long time—that kind of half-awake, half-asleep feeling where you can't wake up but can't fall asleep either.

The other Cheng Yus Clones on the same ship were even worse off; most had already fainted, and the few who could hold on were vomiting non-stop. Fortunately, the black ship had thoughtfully provided vomit bags.

"For the next two hours or so, everything you see is a hallucination. Don't worry about it; once you get through it, you'll be there." This was a clone who had already taken the black ship sharing his experience with the others.

"Then how do you prove that this sentence of yours... is not my hallucination?" A clone questioned.

"Wow, you're so good at arguing, why didn't you get certified as an Imperial Registered Arguer?"

"I saw the captain of the Titanic; he said he played chess with the Jianwen Emperor Zhu Yunwen in Warp. Let's go catch the Jianwen Emperor together."

"Does no one think the bridge of the black ship is very erotic, or am I the only one who thinks so?"

The black ship's voyage hadn't even penetrated deep into the true Warp, yet half of the clones awake on the ship had already gone mad. Fortunately, everyone was wearing helmets made of mind-shielding alloy, which somewhat offset part of Warp's corrosive effect on their minds; otherwise, it would be hard to say what would be happening on the ship right now.
